Individualized win/lose records mean nothing in a sport with 50+ rosters and 22 guys on the field at all times. How are you going to credit a win or lose to one man when he isn't even on the field most plays?
Not fair to judge him after 1 game? wait and see? The fanbase has been doing these exact same things year after year! Patience is out the window at yr 6. Sure multiple coach changes, GM changes but at what point do you at least put something together? This franchise is 4-1 in the SB era, not a poverty franchise which we currently have been for a decade now. This is not the Giants I grew up with.

I’m sick of people discounting Devito. Newsflash, he’s won more games and thrown more touchdowns than 8 has last year. 8 had 6 games, Devito had 6 games. The offenses weren’t even comparable between the two qbs. Give me a freaking break.

The Giants set DJ to fail every single year. EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. No QB would succeed in the same situation at DJ.

I may be a DJ truther, but I'm still rooting for him. Too much belly-aching skepticism in the fan-base for my liking.

Tiki, 15 passing tds in ur 4th yr is not really good.
The reason he only 15 TD’s is because of Two reasons.
1. The Giants WR’s in 2022 weren’t Great.
2. The Giants were a Run 1st team in 2022.
His BEST year was 15 TD passes, 15!!!!!! He was over drafted, he wasn’t good in college, and only got drafted because his college coach was Eli and Payton QB coach. He is terrible. PERIOD

I really want to know how much longer does Daniel Jones get to keep doing the same thing week in and week out? I don’t understand how a guy can fail for 4 out of 5 years, with putrid offensive numbers, and keep his job. What is acceptable to keep him starting at QB?

If you watch the tape he flat out misses reads, which should be easy throws. Now he has no excuses. When will we accept he's not going to get better. The team played better with both backups. How much proof do we need. He played well once in the easiest schedule we ever had.

He was not that good to begin with, is coming off serious injuries to the ACL and Neck, and is gun shy because of the beating he's already taken. He has the arm strength, speed, size, but no instincts for the position. To me, he's done. I will say that Daboll's schemes may have something to do with it, almost dumbing down the playbook because of Jones' inability to read defenses and/or audible out of a play. Daboll's lack of confidence in Jones shows with his play calling so why is he your starting QB? Daboll is coaching not to lose instead of coaching to win. Put Lock or DeVito in there.

Tiki needs to stop trying to see abilities in DJ that he has not displayed. 2 seasons ago when they made the playoffs it was mostly due to a lite schedule and he had saquon barkley, also teams were not really hip to a running qb on the Giants. Fast forward to present day. the defenses have figured him out, Barkley is not here, and we do not have a light schedule. Its time!! not to mention if he gets hurt the team is on the hook to pay him out. that alone should be enough for the organization to bench him. I give him till game 3, not 4, if he losses against the Commenders, smh

Daniel Jones “good year” was just a slightly better than average kinda year. 15 throwing TDs? Sneaking into the playoffs? Was the playoff Viking game good…. Yes. But that kinda game out of DJ is the exception not the rule from him. 75% of the time he sucks, 5% of the time he’s good, and the rest of the time he’s average.
Is it theoretically feasible for DJ to fix his confidence issues, processing issues, and start playing better than 2022? Perhaps its theoretically feasible.

When he was "good" he had a healthy Saquon. Saquons not there anymore to take the pressure off of him. Also defenses didnt expect him to run so much. Every defense NOW knows to contain him in the pocket. And "patience"? this is his 6th year. Giants fans are done with patience. It maybe week 1. Buts its week 1 of year 6!
That defensive end from Oregon is just as much of a bum!! Time for him to take a seat too!!! So this brilliant GM had picks #5 and #7 and still couldn't draft a good player. Exactly why he should've traded whatever NE wanted to move up for a QB. You're not going to do anything productive with the picks anyway!!!!!!!!!

@@javinetwork5019 You're exactly right. The 2 best players on the team right now are probably Andrew Thomas and Dexter Lawrence (Gettleman draft choices). Week 1 last year you could say the top 4 were those 2 and, obviously, Saquon and probably Leonard Williams. 3 Gettleman draft picks and 1 trade that he made. I would say that's all we need to know about this current regime. WOW!

There is little you can say to convince me the Giants have a good coaching staff. What player from previous drafts have exceeded expectations? Neal? Keyvon? Ezeudu? Players leave the Giants and blossom on other teams. There is been nothing but contention on this staff ( Kafka, the defensive coach). Players are out of control ( Keyvon, Hyatt etc ) win loss record?

Im a bears fan, so i'm an expert at bad qb play. Daniel Jones is badicqlly Mitch Trubisky. I always say to give rookie qbs 2 years. You'll know after two years if they are good or not. Problem with Jones is that he was ok with a horrible offense around him, so it was hard to judge him after two years. But its geen 5 years, he is a really good back up.
You can tell that not having Saquaon really hurts the offense. DJ just can't elevate enough to compensate for the loss of Saquon. We really have no running game now

I've defended Jones quite strongly from the beginning but I came to the conclusion he was broken on Sunday.
And I will add to it, I don't think he can't be fixed while he remains the starter of the New York Giants.
Get him to another team, as a backup for a couple years with a great QB and coaching staff to learn from and gain that level of understanding that seems to elude him. And then maybe at some point due to injury or something, he gets a chance to start and things go well from that point forward.
I see that as the only path to success he has from this point.

I have so many contradicting comments about Jones. Some of my comments are done with him and some are me being dumb enough to have hope he can turn it around. Idk man...I think he's reached his ceiling.

Barkley was a huge superhero cape for DJ. They were close. With him being gone, DJ is so much more lost.

He actually was Good in 2022, he didn’t turn the ball over much & he had a lot of game winning drives. Also Jones wasn’t the main focal point of the Giants Offense in 2022, the main focal point was Saquon Barkley.
@@MegaGiants89 yeah he threw 5 interceptions. I agree he wasn’t the main focus of the offense, but 15 tds?? 15 tds is not great passing production out of your qb. I wouldn’t say he was good. He was fine and serviceable enough for them to win a playoff game that he played well in.

I generally agree with both points, but the greater point is that DJ is not good and may be Saquan was covering up his issues as a qb.
my conspiracy theory is this contract was forced onto the GM and HC by the owner. Both GM and HC clearly wanted him gone as we saw on Hard Knocks and Hard Knocks Chicago. Might not be the HC or GM that deserve the hate at all.

I understand he played bad but do we honestly believe DJ don’t feel like neither his coach or GM just don’t like him. I mean when you ask Daboll about other quarterbacks he lights up, but he does not do it with his own qb. Where is the confidence in your qb why should I care. Just ask to be benched and let the others do what he couldn’t do. If they fail it’s no longer his fault. It would then fall on ownership.

It’s a simple solution. Make him a two read QB. 1 read, check down, else run. That’s how they have to simplify the game for him now. They have to help him out. Also Singletary needs like 20 carries at least. I don’t care if he only gains 40 yards on those 20 carries!
