I think this is one of the best GDQ runs that has ever occurred. Kinda nervous runner executes almost every tech/glitch almost perfectly, she and the couch work and play with the crowd well, the host isn't given too much time but is respectful of it, good donations occur that bounce off the gameplay, advertising plug that naturally worked on top of everything else.
Like... I'm following this lady on Twitch now, I dig it!
Smoothoperative's and couch's commentary are on point. Had a blast with one of my childhood's games's speedrun!

I’ve seen a lot of speedruns of this game and this was nothing short of phenomenal, given it was all in one take and with people watching on top of that? SmoothOperative should be really proud of herself for achieving such a clean run, nailing the hardest glitches.

One of the best GDQ runs ever. Fantastic informative commentary, got to see so many cool tricks (I had no idea you could dupe the prayer wheel to skip the entire Monastery level) and everyone was just having fun with it, the crowd making the sounds the mercenaries make when you run them over was hilarious. SmoothOperative, you should be really proud of this run.
One of the best live commentaries to date, this and Beckski's TR1 run. So chill yet so warm and entertaining
Honestly watched this run about 20 times. The commentary, nostalgia and the run itself make it a really enjoyable watch.

Not only is she a master of the game, but she's incredibly charismatic and charming. This was an amazingly positive experience for me. The couch helped out a lot too, there was a lot of good chemistry flowing between everyone!

Doors and walls are just a gentle suggestion in this I see. That explains how the butler used to get out of the freezer my friend would put him in.
I wonder if your friend let him out on purpose. The old tomb raider ai and collisions doesnt allow for a moveable (non lara object) to cross through a portal if its shut, the meshes might clip through but theres no thoroughfare unless the door is triggered open.

Damn SmoothOp nailed every trick almost in one go, amazing skills! I just remember my younger self stumbling through the first few levels before giving up haha. Also nice couch commentary, you guys made this a really entertaining run together.
She made it through the whole game in the same amount of time that it took me to go through 1 1/2 levels in this game.

busy week with uni applications and exams. wasn't able to watch this live but it's the perfect thing to destress with; my favourite game of all time. so glad to see more tomb raider at gdq :) smoothoperative is a very skilled runner, and so cool to see beckski back again!

I just finished the game for the first time after having dropped it when I was a child due to the puzzles being too hard for my brain. Also, the platforming on this game needs some serious skills. When I finally beat the game I felt that my life was complete, but then I saw this speedrun and thought: "I have yet much to learn."

I remember my sister and I playing this game. We would alternate so one of us would read the strategy guide and the other would play. So much fun to watch and now I've got to find my copy to play 😍

This was one of the first games I played with my first PC... seeing all the amazing glitches to skip areas kinda makes me mad since I remember all the time it took me to complete every single level.

The early tomb raider games were always mega hard, took so much time to get through them they almost became unenjoyable

man.. I was so stuck in this level.. and after hours and hours I noticed u can use shift to speed up the boat.. so you can make some jump...
