Awesome review Alyssa! I absolutely loved this movie growing up as a kid and those tornado scenes always got to me! Also, we can't forget the steak and eggs scene!

That's great! I love revisiting movies with my dad. I'd totally be up for rewatching Twisters with him next time I'm home.

@@MainelyMovies When I was growing up, my mother and I would go and see all the Jurassic Park movies together in theaters. This started when I was 10, and the first JP came out. She had heard that the film could be intense for kids, and she didn't want me to see it alone. We went to see it at the Mall of America, and our theater was equipped with this new-fangled DTS technology. When the first thud on the soundtrack hit, my mom jumped and grabbed my arm. So, for two hours, there sat my 40-year-old mother, holding on to her 10-year-old son's arm for dear life. I still have the fingernail scars on my left arm.

To be fair, my dad jumps at how loud movie theaters are to this day. Even just the pre-movie commercials when they come on haha.

Nicely done. I have seen Twister (and I am about to watch it again for the first time in years, so my opinion might change), but I thought it was... fine. An enjoyable way to waste a few minutes. Of course, nostalgia is as good a reason as any to love something. It allows old, critical farts like me a chance to view a film with the uncomplicated love of childhood.
My first adult movie was Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I was 6 when my dad took me to see it. My mom was not happy with him, although I think she was being silly.

Yeah, I'm sure the nostalgia really helps for this one. Oh man, Indy 3 at 6 is probably a bit more intense haha.
