Smith's Grove Sanitarium- I'm a big fan of 'Twister', as well. This video was how I first came across your channel & in doing so, I did my due diligence & subscribed to it. Keep up the great work...
Thanks for the sub and the comment. So much love for Twister! I've had a hiatus for a bit but will be coming back to release content here hopefully soon! Life gets in the way sometimes unfortunately.
Smith's Grove Sanitarium- In the background around 5:25, I noticed what looks like a set of glasses on a DVD box set, or, something like that. Maybe it's just me, but, they look like a pair that Randy "The Macho Man" Savage would wear when he makes his way to the ring in a WWE video game, or, something like that. I'm a pro wrestling fan & just had to ask about those, so, if it seemed like a completely random question that was just posted, I apologize in advance.
Sorry I'm just seeing this. They are indeed Macho man glasses. I'm a big wrestling fan. I've worn them a couple time on another channel I do, Macho movie madness. that one is with a group of buddies.
We just had a tornado come through my town last week. Destroyed my part of my house and yard but luckily no casualties. Always loved this movie though. I definitely need to rewatch this one now
So without this movie, I wouldn’t have been a storm chaser. Or even known that was even a thing. This also got me into meteorology. This movie is a blast and so much fun
Definitely. And I’ve heard countless chasers say the same thing. It might be safe to say that this movie helped spawn a whole new generation of chasers and weather study is better off for it. I love and respect the hell out of all you guys. Always been so fascinated by it. I still watch storm chasing streams all the time. Part of me wishes I could be a part of it lol. Like maybe I missed my calling with it 😂
Twister is very special to me, as it was the first movie I went to watch in the theater when I moved to Los Angeles - to, yep - work in the bizniss. Right there at the Burbank AMC. Welcome to Hollywood, right? :D I bought it just as soon as the VHS tape came out and watched it mostly only in summer, because I wanted to preserve the memory of when I first saw it, and not spoil myself. Funny how you mention some of those other tapes about tornadoes. Blockbuster Video was still around at the time, and I bought all the silly tornado chaser VHS tapes that were slapped together thanks to the success of Twister I could find!
Great review, man! Twister is one of the first movies I ever saw. I was maybe four when i first saw it and it started my fascination with Tornadoes when I was younger. I love everything about it from the effects, that still hold up to the chatactors to the music. it's all great to me. One thing i did kinda notice while watching your review that I never noticed is that at the end of the movie, the rest of the crew never check to see if Bill and Jo are all right when they drive up being all excited lol I'm also glad you recommended Tornado and Night of The Twisters at the end of the video. I really enjoy those as well, Night of The Twisters is one of my favorite films as well.
I’m absolutely fascinated by tornadoes too. I follow storm chasers to this day lol. Love Night of the twisters! And thanks for watching! Appreciate it!
The mom in the beginning in the storm cellar is also the love interest for the super skinny guy in "the perfect storm" she may also be the lady who runs the diner in "Jason goes to hell". I never verify any of this, I just speculate wildly. My girlfriend hates watching movies with me.
Same for me and my girlfriend 😂. I'll be like "you know who that is? That's so and so" or "who's that? I've seen them somewhere". This is followed by the biggest eye roll or smart ass remark 😂. You are right by the way. At least about the lady that runs the diner. I just watched Jason Goes to Hell the other night, funny enough, and thought the same thing. It's been a long time so I never noticed before. I did verify it for the both of us 😂. Her name is Rusty Schwimmer.
Twister and night of the twisters are my go too storm movies living in mis west. Twister had the best soundtrack. I think it was one of the first soundtracks I bought.
Still to this day one of my favorite disaster movies too. I have to say though that I always hated Jo. She was beyond psychopathic, narcissistic and manipulative, especially towards Bill. All because she could never get over her dad's death. She put herself in danger and the rest of her team members, just for the sake of a mission which was highly risky and unlikely to be done successfully. She wouldn't sign the divorce papers on purpose and gives a sh*t what Bill's fiance thinks or how she feels. I liked Melissa a hell of a lot better than her
I've only seen 5 tornado movies. Twister - 1996 10/10 Night of the Twisters - 1996 8/10 Into the Storm - 2014 6/10 Storm Cell - 2008 A random negative number/10 Super Cell - 2023 7/10 I'm planning on seeing 13 Minutes - 2021 Twisters - 2024 (I hope it'll be good)
I don’t know if this is a good thing or not but when I think of Bill Paxton…I think of the live action Thunderbirds movie lmao I lowkey feel ashamed and alone lol but I absolutely LOVE this movie!!!
Lert me know what you all think of Twister! Where does it rank in your list of disaster films?
Still one of my favorite movies ever!!
Same!
Same
Caught this review by chance and subscribing now! My all time favorite flick just for nostalgia alone. Love your delivery and humor!
Hey man thanks! I appreciate that! I absolutely love this movie too! Seen it probably 1000 times
The chemistry of everyone in this movie. The casting just worked so very well.

Bill Paxton was great in this movie. Between this and Frailty are among my favorite Paxton films

If it couldn't be the best why did I still remember it after 15+ years after first watching And I am still watching it till these days!
I remember buying this when it released on VHS, I watched it so many times I wore out the tape.
I did the same thing !

Oh Had a few of those! Like Terror on the Plains I think it was called maybe??
I've seen twister more than godzilla films, and I am a huge gfan. I've even been on the ride a few times as a kid.
That's one thing I wish I could have done. Experienced the ride

I finally found night of the twisters on DVD a few years ago. Love that movie. It was kinda high though lol

Yeah I'm kinda with ya. she only cares to sign when he's already mentioned he still loved her, basically. true narcissist lol
As soon as I started watching Saw I was like "Hey that's the bad guy in Twister."
Yeah same. Also Robin hood from Men in tights 😂
Love the movie. The spundtrack is also amazing
Absolutely!
I've only seen 5 tornado movies.
Twister - 1996 10/10
Night of the Twisters - 1996 8/10
Into the Storm - 2014 6/10
Storm Cell - 2008 A random negative number/10
Super Cell - 2023 7/10
I'm planning on seeing
13 Minutes - 2021
Twisters - 2024 (I hope it'll be good)
I need to watch 13 minutes. Depending on who you ask it wasn't much of a tornado movie. Also Tornado! with Bruce Campbell is good for a 90s tv movie
The VH joke made me giggle💙
😂
Guess what my two favorite movies of all time are. Halloween and Twister!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Did we just become best friends??! Lol

yes sir
You kind of remind me of Nicholas Cage, with a beard, which is super cool!
Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Welcome! And its funny you say that lol. My buddy from High school always said the same thing! 🤣
This movie always gets a 5/5 from me. Its my 2nd fav movie of all time, next to Hackers
I like your style
@@SmithsGrove 3rd is Masterminds (Patrick Stuart version) & 4th is Angus
Love this movie. Are you excited for the sequel “Twisters” I think it comes out later this year
I am pretty excited. Have you watched the trailer yet? it just came out. It looks over the top lol
