Alright… Crazy theory. So in the end of the game Harvey’s memory gets very scrambled more than likely because of his crumbling mental state and the proper immersion/creation of Two-Face. What if Two-Face suppressed the memory of Bruce being Batman to protect him even if Two-Face would’ve had the upper hand on Batman if he used it but in doing so would compromise Harvey’. If I remember correctly in the comics the reverse happened in DC rebirth where Harvey knew Bruce was Batman but kept it from Two-Face. Also really dark detail I noticed is that after Two-Face emerges for the first time and flips his coin he says “Bad new, kid” just like his father did… If Harvey wasn’t sick like his dad, his father creating Two-Face was a self full-filling prophecy
I screamed "No" as loud as I could the moment that solvent landed on Harvey's face, I always hated every iteration of the character when he gets scarred irreperably from this, seeing the White Knight of Gotham descend into madness and villany.
This is one of my favourite non comic versions of the story, one of the biggest mistakes made with Harvey's transformation is that he's completely stable before he's hit with the solvent or the acid. In this version we see that he inherited a mental illness from his father, and in addition to that we see his and Bruce's bond grow instead of just being told they're best friends. They show us. This game is something special and I hope we see some DLC in the future.

Well it makes sense that he’s an extremist considering he’s supposed to be Lockup, an extremity vigilante that believes that the only way to deal with supervillains and common criminals is to mercilessly beat, torture, dehumanize, and confine people rather than attempt to rehabilitate and attempt to reintegrate said supervillains and criminals into society
He’s essentially Batman but without any of the compassion and a lot of alt right ideology. There is a bit more to him than I explained here so I’d recommend watching the episode from the animated Batman series that features him called “Lockup”
the fact that they took it easy with the combat system means they didn't want people to feel nauseous; the free flow combat where batman would fly across the room to land a hit on an enemy has been replaced by a combo combat instead, which is good. Super enthusiasts who enjoy the original arkham games will probably not like this game.

The twist of Harvey ( Big bad dent!) was the rat king…. Not gonna lie felt odd but in a way so different than what we expected. I hope Arkham Origins gets more love in the future
I do admit it is interesting how they made the rat king the very first identity of two face (Harveys darkside/shadow). Although I'm not sure how I feel about them making it that Bruce was involved in the accident that scarred his face.

Considering his experimentation with his prototype fear toxin brought out the bad in him. Harvey was able to keep his bad personality in check until he got involved with Crane. Crane's toxins were empowering that side of harvey. In a way, this happened in the animated series. A therapist sometimes had to put Harvey under hypnosis to talk with big bad Harb.

if they had done that the game would have sucked bad. Either you make a flatscreen game or a VR game. the mechanics are just that much different. E.g. Flatscreen games are very linear in terms of interactivity while VR games need to make everything interactabel. Also the perspective of what you're seeing in the world is vastly different and has a huge impact on level design, etc.... If you're playing a VR port of a flatgame you feel it and the other way around. Thats like saying "I liked the movie but I wish it would be a game". Just let the devs do what they want. Also this isn't a rocksteady game. It's been pitched by a VR-first studio. It wouldn't exist in flat either way

It's in VR because no one at Rocksteady or at Time Warner wants to make another Batman Arkham game. This game only came to exist because of Meta and Camoflagj, they wanted to make an Arkham game in VR so they signed a contract with Time Warner to make one, which only includes a clause that says it's exclusive to the Meta platform.
Props for being one of the first people to put out a walkthrough on this game… but man you didn’t make it an easy watch. Try to keep the viewers experience in mind. Half the time the cameras jerky, not looking at the person talking, keeping dialogue trees off screen, standing too close to things, audio is off sync, etc. And the fact that you skip past interesting segments is annoying, we want to hear the dialogue! The reason we watch these videos is because we want to watch the story unfold and get the experience of playing it. Interact with NPCs, listen to the audio files, don’t rush through segments where we could listen to Easter eggs / lore. And try to get better at the game in general, that would be a bonus

Very good walkthrough, but the playing time is much longer if you still want to find the collectibles and of course don't know your way around that well yet and have to search and try around a bit.
The "hold your hand" combat mechanics alone are reason enough to not buy this game and the fact that Meta dropped the price of the REAL Quest 3 (512G) to $500 less than a year after TRUE Quest supporters paid $649 for what amounted to a lackluster "next gen" headset is the ultimate slap in the face. The Quest 3s is a cheaper version of a headset that made big promises and did not deliver, this game is not worth the price/value of buying either of the ONLY TWO headsets that it can be played on. Meta bought out the devs that made this game for a reason, making it exclusive to trick/force fans of the franchise into buying the headset, don't fall for it, just wait for someone to port the game into flat screen, it'll happen sooner than you think, it's already on rookie.
The more I watch this game, the more I wish it could have come up in typical 3rd persion fashion. It's such an interesting story which is hampered by the technical hiccups exoected from a VR game...

I watched the entire gameplay video, and it looks like a fun game but the story is ALL OVER THE PLACE and it was falsely advertised with Rat Catcher being the main villain aka Rat King. Plus they made it look like the game was an open world VR Gotham, when in actuality it was 90% in Blackgate.

It's a setting you have on that helps prevent motion sickness. You can turn it off in the comfort settings.

It looks awful and I am very confused why everyone is so in love with it. Maybe I'm not seeing what everyone else is but it looks terrible graphic wise and the story changed was changed significantly from what the canon of Asylumn-Knight was
