It's been such a heavy month with the war in the Middle East, a lot of turmoil in the political world, and now with Matthew Perry's passing. This book is so helpful, it's like herbal tea for the soul at a difficult time. Thank you so much. ❤
You really touched my heart with this one. I too suffer from depression and was not diagnosed until I reached my mid-thirties. Although I was not an orphan, my mother decided her life would be better without her husband and 3 children and so she left our family when I was 14, making me the mother figure for my younger siblings. Regardless of age, one never fully gets over abandonment by a parent. Thank you so much for your stories and for making them available to us this way.
Each one of your books is a treasure. The simplicity of your stories, the tenderness and the kindness of your characters.. it’s like sitting with a cup of coffee on a cold winter day.. l can’t decide which one is my favourite. They are all wonderful!

I have just finished my FIRST listening of this book in a series I already love from the prequel. Your notes at the end touched me more than you can know. As another who has suffered from times of deep depression, I can hope that you also will reach a point when those times grow farther and farther apart. Sally, I have listened to many, many royal romance books. Yours was different. In the comments, I have seen the words, “uncomplicated” and “calm”. Perfect words for your book. At first I kept waiting for the discouragement and misunderstanding that always arises between the lead characters. I was SO PLEASED and appreciative each time you creatively sidestepped that path and, instead, found yet another way to draw the lead characters closer (first, the children’s love for her and then Richard). I was again amazed and so pleased to see the Duke rise to a level of respect not once (when he rescued her from the male guest) but again when he roused the house to find Richard). Truly, your decision to allow this story to remain sweet and unencumbered was refreshing. I respect your gift so much.

I just noticed there is not even 2 hours left! So sad - I want this one to never end! :) Sigh... This book was just too dang short - that is my only criticism... It was so lovey and sweet and warm - it was uplifting and deep - and just too dang short! Humph! So worth the listen - now I have to listen to the rest in this series! lol
I am stunned to find complete audio books on youtube. I began the series through my local library, and it stopped at book 3. Finding the full series here is a delight beyond words! This is a gentle series, with all the love and tenderness I want in a story. I expect to return to them over and over for comfort and pleasure.
It's a bit of a fringe idea among authors, to offer our audiobooks here. Basically "free with ads." I don't make as much from a listen on RUclips as I do on a library app like libby, or on hoopla, or Spotify. But I am reaching so many people, and that makes up the difference, I think. :-) I'm so glad you've been enjoying these stories!
Again I have to commend you I love the story. The contrast of how a young lady needed to conduct herself knowing her position and how easily it could be compromised. You held me in suspense when that gentleman was chasing her it was amazing I loved it it was like watching a movie in words thank you again can't wait to here the next one 💕😍

Aw... You're sweet to worry about him. Miss Felton impressed no one with her behavior. You can rest assured she fell far from favor. As for the little boy, he appears again in another book, quite happy. The duke's family keeps an eye on him from afar. I like to think it's the duke who gets the boy into the best boarding schools where he can be happy and make friends. I imagine as he grows up, the duke will help him find his place in the world. I'm glad my books can help you through a difficult time. I hope things get better soon.
I love the approach and focus of this book. More realistic individuals who have jobs and find love. i love the caring duke also. So many times young ladies are not rescued or protected even in romances. It is nic to see women cherished and treated with respect. I like the fact that she is intelligent also. Sterling is going to have a tale to tell in future. I'm still working it out. He's the younger son of a gentleman, which is why he became a soldier and eventually part of the duke's guard. Oh!! I loved reading this story and fell in love with it all over again through the beautifully done audio version!! Like so many of your books-I finished it thinking it would make such a fun movie! I think this is the best one of yours that I so far listened to. I also think Jessica Elisa Boyd has done a wonderful job narrating to bring all of the characters to life. I must say, from all the regency books I've heard so far, I think she is definitely the top narrator. You'll not go wrong by choosing her to continue narrating your books. I was pleasantly surprised to hear your note at the end of the recording. I think it is such a wonderful idea and it adds such a lovely personal touch. I have not heard that from any of other authors I listened to, so good on you! Sigh... This book was just too dang short - that is my only criticism... It was so lovey and sweet and warm - it was uplifting and deep - and just too dang short! Humph! So worth the listen - now I have to listen to the rest in this series! lol
I am stunned to find complete audio books on youtube. I began the series through my local library, and it stopped at book 3. Finding the full series here is a delight beyond words!
This is a gentle series, with all the love and tenderness I want in a story. I expect to return to them over and over for comfort and pleasure.
It's a bit of a fringe idea among authors, to offer our audiobooks here. Basically "free with ads." I don't make as much from a listen on RUclips as I do on a library app like libby, or on hoopla, or Spotify. But I am reaching so many people, and that makes up the difference, I think. :-) I'm so glad you've been enjoying these stories!
Again I have to commend you I love the story. The contrast of how a young lady needed to conduct herself knowing her position and how easily it could be compromised. You held me in suspense when that gentleman was chasing her it was amazing I loved it it was like watching a movie in words thank you again can't wait to here the next one 💕😍

You have done it again! Despite the fact I may be in love with those who live near the Inglewood estate, this book has moved me to tears. There were a few times I started yelling at Rupert because he was so clueless about propriety. How could he not know? And of course, l needed to rewind my spot and listen again with rapt attention.
I think Rupert is a little socially awkward. A lot of people forgive him for this because he is handsome and a gentleman. But...yes. He can be a bit oblivious.

Aw... You're sweet to worry about him. Miss Felton impressed no one with her behavior. You can rest assured she fell far from favor. As for the little boy, he appears again in another book, quite happy. The duke's family keeps an eye on him from afar. I like to think it's the duke who gets the boy into the best boarding schools where he can be happy and make friends. I imagine as he grows up, the duke will help him find his place in the world. I'm glad my books can help you through a difficult time. I hope things get better soon.
I love the approach and focus of this book. More realistic individuals who have jobs and find love. i love the caring duke also. So many times young ladies are not rescued or protected even in romances. It is nic to see women cherished and treated with respect. I like the fact that she is intelligent also. Keep up the good novellas SB.
Sincerely, thank you. This is my "gentle" series, so it's not truly action packed or high drama. But it's full of good people living quiet, kind lives.

I would love to learn more about someone from the security detail, perhaps Sterling, and how romance might happen downstairs in Clairvoir Castle.
Sterling is going to have a tale to tell in future. I'm still working it out. He's the younger son of a gentleman, which is why he became a soldier and eventually part of the duke's guard. So he probably wouldn't have a downstairs romance. WHEN did those poor servants even have time for such a thing??? I've been reading more about their schedules and lives, and it's just ridiculous. We'll see what happens.
