Shu this episode of watching Brandon tour his new house was inspirational. I like seeing people achieving their dreams and putting in the work to make their vision into a reality. Can't wait for another update and see how this house is going to turn out after Brandon adds his renovations. Keep up the good work Shu!
It's a nice house on a large lot (240 tsubo ish). Quite large inside. 53 tsubo ish. Much larger than the average house in Japan. The inside is more impressive than the very standard outside. The ceilings are absolutely amazing in some rooms. Kitchen does need an update. I understand wanting to make some rooms with Flooring. Hopefully he'll decide to leave the rooms he didnt know what to do with as they are. No need for a "projector". Just keep them as clean tatami only rooms that will look nice and clean all the time. He definitely isn't the average akiya buyer. He must have some hefty savings and be earning US dollars. His rent in South Korea was 4x my house loan payments. That used house cost more than an average sized new house in most of Japan. And he wouldn't be paying loan installments. He bought it outright. He's working the "pizza shop" idea to get his business visa but a pizza shop will definitely just be for the visa. His money comes from whatever he does remotely. (I'm not complaining. These are just guesses. Good for him to be anle to do what he is doing).
Absolutely love this video. Can we see updates on this property once in a while? I would love to find see his remodeling results and if he gets to rent the land next to it.
A beautiful traditional home . I can really appreciate it 🌹❤️🌹 looks like you have office space and beautiful garden . Could really set up Roots there . Wishing you the best ❤️🌹❤️
It's an incredibly beautiful home just as it is. I personally wouldn't need to change anything about it. If anything, I might consider upgrading the kitchen a bit with a stove and dishwasher, but it's really not even necessary as a single person. It's far too large for me, but he's probably counting on getting married and having children, so a family home will be needed. One thing that I really respect about the family who owned this home originally is that they took such good care of it and handed it over in what appears to be pristine condition. I sincerely wish Brandon so well in his new home and I hope that he will be able to get the business visa that he needs. I'm in the process of coming over to Japan to look at property, but for a single person with an office and maybe a guest room, and I hope to stay for 6 months while I around look at properties in Saitama, the beaches around Chiba, and a few other areas in/around the Greater Tokyo Metropolitan Area.
It’s an awesome home. All the layouts are incredibly beautiful. High ceilings, balcony, large backyard, spacious bathroom, toilet, and parking space. The only downsize that each entrance to the room built too low for a tall person. If not careful, it can be dangerous. The price is little bit expensive for rural area. Overall. I love it. BTW, I always enjoy watching your show, very much entertaining. Keep it up 👍!!!
I wonder why he didn’t get a house in Korea. And why he got a house in Japan. Some things are similar in Korea and Japan but most part, they are totally different counties. He mostly talked about his life in Korea in the first 10 minutes or so. Maybe he mentioned why he got a house in Japan but it was too long and I couldn’t watch the whole conversation 😂
The prices are much higher in Korea for what you can get. You’ll have to be further out from the city and the house and land won’t be as big or nice with the same amount of money.
You gotta watch out for what you do. What you said would likely limit yourself to only foreign buyers when it comes to selling unless it’s in a great location.
Damn that's such a Dream house of mine in Japan. Congrats Dude on the very Cool house. And to Celebrate, run around the house 5 Times at Night in your Underwear shouting BONZAI!!
Would love to know how you were able to fix the wood like that so beautifully. Are there plenty of builders there to pick out the wood, or did you buy it yourself? Plumbers? How long to renovate it? And if you got a loan, how did you? I heard if you’re a foreigner, you may not get a loan.
If I was the owner that sold the property and if was doable, I would've asked to be paid in USD rather than Yen. Maybe 200K in USD and the rest in Yen.
nice, and it's pretty big...although the price reflects that...I like how it's modern but still has the traditional look, but are those walls insulated?
Normal families don’t live in these kind of houses in Japan. It’s preeetty expensive. Living here, I can only imagine myself buying something half of this price even though my family has 2 people working full time with decent salaries…
My wife and I want to do this but the visa situation it’s hard. I thought there might be something in the fact that I’m 3rd gen here in the states but so far it hasn’t amounted to much
I love this house, for me the draw back is the wasted open space, he will have to cool and heat that, which is wasted money but you are paying for that money shot❤
Omg! Congratulations! 🎊 That is such a beautiful Akiyaki home. $275k here in the US gets you a shack! 😂 I would love to own an akiyaki home as well. I've been trying to convince my husband for us to move to Japan too!! I have 1 kid, 1 toddler, and a baby. I want them to go to a good school. The education system in the US is getting so bad. Teachers wages/salaries are low, there's not enough fundings for improvements, school lunches sucks! They feed kids nasty unhealthy junk food (pizza, chicken nuggets, hamburgers). There's nothing nutrional about school lunches to help kids develop healthy habits, get enough nutrition for the brain or good health. My son's school food is sweet cereals & juice in the morning, then lunch is either a choice of burger, pizza, garlic cheese bread, or chicken nuggets, and milk or juice. (Like, seriously??) Nothing healthy or nourishing for the brain and body at all. I heard other countries value education more. Like, teachers get paid more, government funds $$$ for improvements. Students gets higher test scores, healthy lunch (real homecook style food!!) You don't see kids/teenagers fighting teachers.
Hi, I currently own 4 properties with my husband. we are planning to get divorced in 2025. What ideas or advice could you give me in regards to getting a home (Akiya) move in ready in Osaka, Japan.
I really can't stand the smell of Tatami. I would get rid of all the tatamis. I live in Washington state now but used to live in Kawasaki, Tokyo, Osaka, Wakayama and briefly in Saitama.
after watching the previous video and this follow-up, I think Brandon made a good choice. this property is decently sized and more modern built in 1999 and also closer to the train station. very convenient. from the previous video, the 1st property was too big and the 3rd property was extremely far away in the countryside. maybe the only downside of this 2nd property is the price. kinda too high. but this is just my own personal opinion. but regardless. congrats to Brandon! very cool property. HUGE parking space for cars and nice plot of land to start doing decent farming. grow some vegetables.

I lived in Japan for almost 18 years. Finding a niche there is tough for non Japanese, especially if one doesn’t speak the language. The people are wonderful in that they are law abiding, less greedy and not as excitable as Americans. I’d spend at least six months as a visitor before moving.
Such a beautiful house. I can get a sense it’s been a well-loved house. It’s an actual home.
Thank you for the update Shu.. congrats to Brandon..I thought he would choose house 1. That location was exceptional..

Love to hear that! Thanks!
Congratulations Brandon🎉.
Love the house, especially the ceiling.
It's amazing!

That is a beautiful home. You can tell that the house and garden was loved by the owners.
He's living my dream! Congratulations!
What an incredibly beautiful home and space! I'd love to find something like that some day. It's stunning.
It’s a special place, for sure!
Absolutely love this video. Can we see updates on this property once in a while? I would love to find see his remodeling results and if he gets to rent the land next to it.
What a beautiful home!!!! Congrats!!!
It's got lots of rooms but the rooms are a bit too small. I'd probably knock some of the partition walls down and open up the space.
That’s a sweet house! Not much work needs done. Beautiful wood work. Not too bad of a price for it. Congratulations to you🎉🍻
I agree, it's a great house!
make a sequel!!!
Would love to see a one year later video on this property
I remember this guy 😀 🎉🎉Congratulations🎉🎉

Wow! What an incredible home and property! Beautiful!!!❤
It really is a special place!
What a beautiful house! It was built with such love. Congrats!
It really is!
Beautiful house!
I missed the previous video, but this is an amazing place!!

I LOVE YOUR HOUSE!
Soooo pretty! I would make the western small room upstairs the study. ❤
That would be a great use of the space!
congrats on your home acquisition Brandon! great content again Shu!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Beautiful….ive been to saitama and omiya. Beautiful area and homes. Be sure to see the international bonsai museum and bonsai nurseries in Omiya. ❤
I agree, it's a beautiful area.
tatami rooms are really beautiful

He has very special experience in Korea than others.
I heard a lot of negative experiences.
Very cool! Price is very good, I wonder how old the house is?
I wonder why he didn’t get a house in Korea. And why he got a house in Japan.

The woodwork in that home is amazing. I'm not a fan of tatami personally so if I ever get a place in JPN it will have only one room max with tatami.
You gotta watch out for what you do. What you said would likely limit yourself to only foreign buyers when it comes to selling unless it’s in a great location.
@@Terry-hl4os Why do you think there are so many vacant houses in Japan in rural areas? Most of these properties will not be resalable to anyone. 🤣
Damn that's such a Dream house of mine in Japan. Congrats Dude on the very Cool house. And to Celebrate, run around the house 5 Times at Night in your Underwear shouting BONZAI!!
you could swap out the doors to blend in to the walls more , that might be kind of cool.
Beautiful home! I'll be his roommate!
I have a Flexispot desk and it's been great!
Super nice.🎉🎉🎉
Such a beautiful house! Congratulations. How long is your visa for and how do you know it'll be renewed?
Beautiful house and property. I would keep as much of it original as possible.
It definitely has a lot of charm!
Would love to know how you were able to fix the wood like that so beautifully. Are there plenty of builders there to pick out the wood, or did you buy it yourself? Plumbers? How long to renovate it? And if you got a loan, how did you? I heard if you’re a foreigner, you may not get a loan.

Today is the day!! Hi Brandon. 12 keys House. Kenkan현관이 very impressive.
안녕하세요 축하합니다. ^^ 정말 집이 넓군요...이태원에서 이정도 집이면 대사관 사이즈죠 ㅋㅋㅋ 50억 정도 할듯합니다.
This was an epic of an episode.
My kinda house and my kinda surroundings.
Absolutely amazing.
5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Is this a DAIWA house? I can see some of their features...
Yeah,we want a video when he is going to buy all the stuff for the house 😅
Maybe this was in a previous video but what kind of visa did he need to be on to purchase a home in Japan?
My wife and I want to do this but the visa situation it’s hard. I thought there might be something in the fact that I’m 3rd gen here in the states but so far it hasn’t amounted to much

So, what did it finally cost to purchase this home?
Mother selling a 3 bdrm 2 bath condo in Seattle, about 150 sq m for 600k deal pending
beautiful but I would be to scary to live there!
Do you only work with people that want to buy in Tokyo area?
how much is this one
Omg! Congratulations! 🎊

@@TerynC-c2f Yep, at the end :)
Great place! But for a single guy is a bit big? Why not buy something smaller that’s not cheap even in America.
Not to be cringy as fuck but mark my words that one day I'll will get a house in Japan...probably will live there for a long time.
This is what most retirees want. Bigger house more land.

Oh no. American saying old ladies. Gross
He's going to need a helmet.

Unnecessary hate💀
New Yorker? KAMALA LOVER?
