One that we forgot, because it was a movie, is Gethsemane of Jesus Christ superstar, which showcase Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane, seen as a normal person, with all the feelings associated with it.
I think it is because no one can pronounce or spell the name. Many may not even know it comes frim Jesus Christ Superstar the Rock video, by Andrew loyd Webber. Some Christians are offended that it shows Jesus as seen by Judas. Other Christians realize that The song is not biblically correct and see it as a work of art, and even a teaching moment they can use at the end if the video.

I’m ambivalent about the performance of “Gethsemane”. The people who wrote Jesus Christ superstar wrote from the perspective of Judas and saw Jesus only as human, not divine.. Still, sometimes we don’t understand his humanity well enough and this may help

I couldn't agree with you more. Dan is the absolute best artist on YT. His powerful metal rendition of this classic Christmas song is just how we need to sing it. His growl in "let all within us", suggests that even the demons have to praise his holy name. I'm excited to find your channel! So few Christians with channels out there - Yes, Dan Vasc is absolutely a literal one of a kind. He is truly gifted. I really don;t know how close his walk with the Lord is, but he says he's a Christian. And none of us are the Judge. He has lots of songs with very thoughtful lyrics that are spiritual on his channel. But he also just has some straight up fire classic songs like 80's, songs from musicals, songs from video games, and so on. You will get a lot of subscribers from Dan Vasc fans because he is literally that good. One of the best singers out there. First and foremost Dan is a heavy metal artist from Brazil with his Band Fearless. He collabs with many artists like Victor the Guitar Nerd playing guitar and I believe piano. He is a Christian but his songs are from everywhere. His Christmas songs are amazing which is how I first heard him last Christmas on RUclips. I’ve been mesmerized since. Like, you my first introduction to Dan was through his Amazing Grace video. It kept popping up in my feed last year and I kept ignoring it because I thought to myself, "I don't want to hear a metal singer ruin Amazing Grace." (And I like metal! -- just didn't think it was appropriate for that song.) Finally clicked on it to get it out of my feed and boy was I sorry I waited. I was immediately hooked! Dan can and does sing everything from opera to heavy metal, though his preferred genre is heavy metal / power metal/ and symphonic metal. A good Christian cover is his collaboration with original band members of Petra doing the Petra song "Beyond Belief." I think you'll like that one. Since you're newly subscribed to him you might want some fair warning - his next new release will be a song called "Man Buns are Gay and So Am I" -- a song he had to write and produce after losing a bet with his good friend Gary. (They had a bet about who would reach 1 million subscribers first.) Dan says it's the most offensive song he's ever done because -paraphrasing him here -- "If I'm going to insult myself that way, I'm going to insult everyone else too." Personally, I'm looking forward to it. You might be intetested in watching Dan's game channel where he plays Captain Bible. He plays other games, also, but Captain Bible is the only one I've watched. Love it when he says, "Ok, chat, let's pray." Its part of the gameplay. Also, please remember we are all united in our faith in Christ, but some of us are more worried about behavior than others. Dan is a strong Christian, but if you are one of those worried about behavior, you may not like it. I think his gaming channel is Vasc3d.
It's Super Vasc 3D . It's so much fun watching Dan play, and talk to his subscribers while doing so. Another one of his special game runs, recently, was Castlevania, which I used to play, as well (my other channel is Grandma's Gone Gaming, but that's mostly full of Minecraft and The Sims games). Dan tried to get through with no deaths, the first time, but didn't QUITE make it. I reminded him that "Warriors never quit!" to which he agreed. That's the only thing I can think of, since I didn't have your e-mail address or anyone else's. How strange! I've learned a lot about many of the 1980s Metal music, by being introduced to Dan's channel, a few days after he posted "Amazing Grace." Because I saw that he had sung many of those songs, I started checking out the lyrics, and then studying them out by the historical events that were happening at the time, and the stories that I've found from "behind the scenes" by the lyricists themselves. It finally dawned on me that, as we've learned in this day and time, also, sometimes you have to say things in ways that don't immediately cause problems. 😀

@@farmerann That's what I've been hearing, too. I know a lot of people seem to think he's retiring from singing altogether, but I honestly don't think that will be the case. Sometimes things just happen, that create pauses. Mainly, though, I'm just glad that Dan didn't lose his thumb, and that he's OK. That was scary, to be sure. Some of Dan's other songs reference his faith. In Elvis' Trilogy, at the end, and maybe at the beginning, too, it shows pics of his father. The captions on those photos are in Brazilian Portugese, but you could stop the video to translate them. They say something about Rest In God, and Until We Meet Again. Also, his cover of Northwest Passage is dedicated to his deceased uncle. Dan says at the end he thought it was fitting to dedicate it to him, because it talks about finding a road home - a reference to his uncle going to heaven. Then he says, Until we meet again, about his uncle, another reference to heaven. You could mention what Dan is talking about there.

It looks like you are only covering Christian content, which is great, but Dan only has about half a dozen strictly Christian songs. However, music can also lift God's name without being strictly Christian music. For example, Dan's Love Me Tender definitely focuses on lifelong marriage. Also, his cover of Bring Me To Life doesnt have a Christian meaning, but it's not anti-Christian either, and it definitely shows off his vocal abilities. Especially when you realize, unless another artist is credited, Dan did it all - background vocals, instruments, editing, etc. I think Dan's secular songs have given him this great audience to share Christ.

One that we forgot, because it was a movie, is Gethsemane of Jesus Christ superstar, which showcase Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane, seen as a normal person, with all the feelings associated with it.
Why Dan doesn't have more views for Gethsemane I'll never know. It's the best version I've ever heard.
I think it is because no one can pronounce or spell the name. Many may not even know it comes frim Jesus Christ Superstar the Rock video, by Andrew loyd Webber.
Some Christians are offended that it shows Jesus as seen by Judas. Other Christians realize that The song is not biblically correct and see it as a work of art, and even a teaching moment they can use at the end if the video.
@cher6932 I agree, I don't care for the portrayal of Jesus in "Jesus Christ Super Star." However, Dan's version is definitely a work of art and powerful. Another Christian reactor (Gametchanger) did bring up the Biblical view. Blessings

I’m ambivalent about the performance of “Gethsemane”. The people who wrote Jesus Christ superstar wrote from the perspective of Judas and saw Jesus only as human, not divine.. Still, sometimes we don’t understand his humanity well enough and this may help

I couldn't agree with you more. Dan is the absolute best artist on YT. His powerful metal rendition of this classic Christmas song is just how we need to sing it. His growl in "let all within us", suggests that even the demons have to praise his holy name. Thanks so much for your reaction and I do hope you will do more of Dan's songs, such as Angels We Have Heard on High. It contains a little metal music but he sings it in full operatic splendor, in 4 languages (Italian, German, Portuguese - his language, and English). His other Christmas song is Adeste Fidelis (O Come all Ye Faithful) and he sings it in it's original language, Latin. He ramps up the metal to again celebrate the majesty of the newborn King. I'm excited to find your channel! So few Christians with channels out there - Yes, Dan Vasc is absolutely a literal one of a kind. He is truly gifted. I really don;t know how close his walk with the Lord is, but he says he's a Christian. And none of us are the Judge. He has lots of songs with very thoughtful lyrics that are spiritual on his channel. But he also just has some straight up fire classic songs like 80's, songs from musicals, songs from video games, and so on. You will get a lot of subscribers from Dan Vasc fans because he is literally that good. One of the best singers out there. First and foremost Dan is a heavy metal artist from Brazil with his Band Fearless. He collabs with many artists like Victor the Guitar Nerd playing guitar and I believe piano. He is a Christian but his songs are from everywhere. His Christmas songs are amazing which is how I first heard him last Christmas on RUclips. I’ve been mesmerized since. Like, you my first introduction to Dan was through his Amazing Grace video. It kept popping up in my feed last year and I kept ignoring it because I thought to myself, "I don't want to hear a metal singer ruin Amazing Grace." (And I like metal! -- just didn't think it was appropriate for that song.) Finally clicked on it to get it out of my feed and boy was I sorry I waited. I was immediately hooked! Dan can and does sing everything from opera to heavy metal, though his preferred genre is heavy metal / power metal/ and symphonic metal. A good Christian cover is his collaboration with original band members of Petra doing the Petra song "Beyond Belief." I think you'll like that one. Since you're newly subscribed to him you might want some fair warning - his next new release will be a song called "Man Buns are Gay and So Am I" -- a song he had to write and produce after losing a bet with his good friend Gary. (They had a bet about who would reach 1 million subscribers first.) Dan says it's the most offensive song he's ever done because -paraphrasing him here -- "If I'm going to insult myself that way, I'm going to insult everyone else too." Personally, I'm looking forward to it. If you want more Christmas songs from Dan, check out his "Angels We Have Heard on High" and his cover of "Adeste Fidelis" - which is, of course, the original Latin version of 'O Come All Ye Faithful."

There is no song that he covers, that doesn’t sound better than the original. He iss fabulous on Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar, as well. You might be intetested in watching Dan's game channel where he plays Captain Bible. He plays other games, also, but Captain Bible is the only one I've watched. Love it when he says, "Ok, chat, let's pray." Its part of the gameplay. Also, please remember we are all united in our faith in Christ, but some of us are more worried about behavior than others. Dan is a strong Christian, but if you are one of those worried about behavior, you may not like it. I think his gaming channel is Vasc3d.
It's Super Vasc 3D . It's so much fun watching Dan play, and talk to his subscribers while doing so. Another one of his special game runs, recently, was Castlevania, which I used to play, as well (my other channel is Grandma's Gone Gaming, but that's mostly full of Minecraft and The Sims games). Dan tried to get through with no deaths, the first time, but didn't QUITE make it. I reminded him that "Warriors never quit!" to which he agreed. Then, the next day, he did it again, and did make it through without a single death. Go, Dan! 😀

@@farmerann That's really weird! I just commented right here on YT. Do you get e-mails from YT when something has gone to your channel to be reviewed? That's the only thing I can think of, since I didn't have your e-mail address or anyone else's. How strange! I've learned a lot about many of the 1980s Metal music, by being introduced to Dan's channel, a few days after he posted "Amazing Grace." Because I saw that he had sung many of those songs, I started checking out the lyrics, and then studying them out by the historical events that were happening at the time, and the stories that I've found from "behind the scenes" by the lyricists themselves. It finally dawned on me that, as we've learned in this day and time, also, sometimes you have to say things in ways that don't immediately cause problems. 😀

I’m hoping Dan puts out a new Christmas song this year ! But I know there’s been a lot going on in Brazil and he had to take time to legally protect all of his music , ect so he’s behind on some of his music .

Unfortunately Dan will not be doing a Christmas song this year. After the Twitter troubles in Brazil, he had that accident and nearly severed his thumb. That put him behind too. Next on the agenda is Man Buns Are Gay , which he has to do cuz he lost that bet. After that is the Man O War tribute album which will be his one million subscribers celebration. Then he has another project that he signed a non disclosure agreement on so we dont know what that is. But I have some guesses. 😊
@@farmerann That's what I've been hearing, too. I know a lot of people seem to think he's retiring from singing altogether, but I honestly don't think that will be the case. Sometimes things just happen, that create pauses. Mainly, though, I'm just glad that Dan didn't lose his thumb, and that he's OK. That was scary, to be sure. When he popped up that blood-spattered face on IG, I almost screamed! YIKES!
Some of Dan's other songs reference his faith. In Elvis' Trilogy, at the end, and maybe at the beginning, too, it shows pics of his father. The captions on those photos are in Brazilian Portugese, but you could stop the video to translate them. They say something about Rest In God, and Until We Meet Again. Also, his cover of Northwest Passage is dedicated to his deceased uncle. Dan says at the end he thought it was fitting to dedicate it to him, because it talks about finding a road home - a reference to his uncle going to heaven. Then he says, Until we meet again, about his uncle, another reference to heaven. You could mention what Dan is talking about there.

It looks like you are only covering Christian content, which is great, but Dan only has about half a dozen strictly Christian songs. However, music can also lift God's name without being strictly Christian music. For example, Dan's Love Me Tender definitely focuses on lifelong marriage. Also, his cover of Bring Me To Life doesnt have a Christian meaning, but it's not anti-Christian either, and it definitely shows off his vocal abilities. Especially when you realize, unless another artist is credited, Dan did it all - background vocals, instruments, editing, etc. I think Dan's secular songs have given him this great audience to share Christ.
