Thanks for dropping by to come virtually walking with us. We have several month's worth of footage to edit, so be sure that we'll be uploading every week as normal. We'll also be taking the opportunity to add other virtual experiences we hope you'll find helpful, for these times where we cannot travel in person.
What a beautiful city. Love the bells at the church and all the cafes. Hope we can get back to that social lifestyle soon. Great taste of summer. -Henry
Ah, I do hope so Henry. It all looks so idylic and simple doesn't it? You got your trip in just in time I guess. How are things with you? We're doing ok here.
@@LivingWalks Things are good. Social Distancing is the word of the week. They are just starting to close schools and cancel events in our state. Some mild panic but no only 6 cases in the entire state right now. Hopefully people will take all this seriously and sanely. Glad to hear you are well. Hopefully, this will all pass soon enough and we can get back to filming walks. -Henry
@@CityWalks Ah Henry let's hope so and when it does we'll all have learned so many lessons from it I'm sure. Good to be in contact with you. Let's stay in touch.
Beautiful Haarlem, just a 15 minute ride from Amsterdam - come and experience this city as if you were really there. No narration. No music.
A wonderful way of connecting, when we cannot be there. A valuable thing.

Hi Ed, I can completely understand your pride in being Dutch. We have a long standing love affair with the Netherlands and visit at least 2 or 3 times a year. We would I'm sure feel the same. All the best to you.
Stunning capture of life style in this city, thanks for your work.
You're so welcome GT. I hope our virtual travels are helpful when we cannot travel.
Wow one of the prettiest city I’ve ever seen. Thank you very much for this video!
Glad you enjoyed it Jas. Thanks for popping by. We'd have to agree as it's one of our favourite cities. have you seen the other Dutch cities here, we have over 100 walks and cafe stops if that's your cup of tea. Hope it helps in these strange times.
Please do drop us a line here. We're especially pleased to reach out to those who cannot travel at the moment and who might find these video's of some small help.
Thank you LW.
You're welcome MA.
wow I'd love to live here. people in northern European countries don't know how lucky they're to be born there. they really hit the birth lotto. I live in the US and yes I could have been born in a worse country but it definitely is bottom of the barrel of the developed countries. no free healthcare, no mandatory paid leave, no free college, no walkable cities (very, very few), you don't see this stress free feeling of the people walking and just enjoying things like here. everyone has a stressful aura to them because we are stressed. I get life is hard in other places but life is hard here, too.
I'd do anything to move here.
Hello there Greg, I quite agree about northern European countries, I know it's easy to take for granted. The things you mention and the walkable cities are very important and necessary for our wellbeing for sure. It's easy to think that all developed countries are settled because on the surface it looks that way. Thank you for connecting and for your insight, it's appreciated.
Everywhere bicycles very beautiful town, great shooting 😊👍👍👍
Hi there Mahe, Glad you enjoyed it! I do agree, it's certainly one of our favourite cities and we'd very much like to return. Thanks for dropping by.
I went to Haarlem every summer with my parents when I lived in Germany and very happy to see how this little town evolved. Also, kudos to banning ads for meat, helping people to get healthier and saving the planet. (PS: I am not 100% vegan or vegetarian, although always preferred when I have a choice).
It certainly is a wonderful little town we agree. How interesting to hear about the banning of ads for meat, most admirable indeed. An inspiring city on all counts!
Nice place! It will be on my next travel list because of this video. Thanks!
Oh good to hear that A, lets hope you get there. I know you'll love it. We have lots of other Dutch cities here for you in the meantime if you like?
Walking tours and car rides are a fun way to discover and explore new places! Thanks for the excellent video!
Quite agree CR, all the best to you and your channel.
Did you really mean "car rides" instead of bike rides? We need more walkable small towns and cities in the US!
LINDO HAARLEM
Oh yes!
Awesome, thanks! Beautifull city I`m in love. It`s like a fairytale.
Glad you enjoyed it, we too love the city. Thanks for connecting, I have a few more here of the Netherlands if you ever feel like another meander?
Thank you! There's so much to like about this. Really appreciate all your vids that you share with the world. It really makes it a better place. : )
and I can say the same for you AW. Keep them coming.
Beautiful day, the place looks so comfortable for walking.!
Thanks WA, we certainly love the city for that reason. Been enjoying your Pimlico Station to Westminster Abbey walk too. Hope all is well with you.
@@LivingWalks Thanks for visiting, Look forward to watching your next footage soon.
Thanks too @@WanderersArchive let's stay in touch.
BEAUTIFUL CITY ...EVERYONE ON AN CYCLE WONDERFUL...
Hi FD, thanks for connecting. Pleased you enjoyed it. We plan to still add 2 virtual city walks a week as we have a big backlog. All the very best to you and thanks for your support.
@@LivingWalks yup ..i am in ...keep it up ...
Absolutely beautiful walk 😊
Especially I like architecture since 2:50 😊
I wonder - how you make so good stabilization 😊
Thank you GW, ah well a good gimbal and walking slowly I'd say! Good to be in contact with you.
This is so wonderful that I actually watched again in slower setting just to absorb all of it. I never been there but have been reading about it and now I'm in love with the Netherlands! I really hope I can visit one day. I feel calm and happy. Questions! How safe is it there? Do people have to lock their bikes? I live in USA but was born in Brazil and crime and violence are horrible there. I want to be in a calm place, less pollution, where I can plant gardens and actually breath. P.s. I know this was done a while ago so I hope you can see this now.
Hi there Claudia, How nice to receive your message, I too am in love with the Netherlands! I do hope you can visit one day. I'm sure you'll feel calm and happy being there. People do have to lock their bikes but generally I've found it to be a very safe and friendly place? There's certainly less pollution with all the bikes being used rather than cars. I have more of these walks in other cities in the Netherlands, I do hope you enjoy them too? Best wishes to you.
@@LivingWalks Thank you for you reply! I'll check the other videos for sure!
I'm born and raised in Haarlem and its peaceful! Some really good parks are kenaupark or schoterpark, Overveen is also beautiful. You might need to lock your bike in the city (where the church is) cuz bikes might get stolen unlocked

Hi Bud, this was filmed last summer. I hope our virtual travels are helpful while we cannot travel. All the best to you.
Hello, my dearest! YES!! It helps a lot!! Incredible to think that it's impossible to do a normal and wonderful thing like walk among people and discover another place...But..it is...
Anyway, another wonderful walk through enchanting Netherlands!! Love this Country! I didn't visit Haarlem due to lack of time, but I would have liked!! It has all the characteristics and unique charm that I love about Holland !What a lovely place...THANKS so much, my dearest as always! Please, take care you too!!MUCH love from me, as always!! Renata
Hello, dear Renata, yes you're so right, it does seem so Incredible to think that it's impossible to do a normal and wonderful thing like walk among people.
I hope when things settle we will all have grown to appreciate such things.
We love the Netherlands too. I'm sure one day you'll visit Haarlem and enjoy all its charm all so much more.
By the way, I was watching the spontaneous singing in Italian cities last night and I have to say it brought a tear to my eye, I was so moved and inspired.
You take care too. Love from us Y&M xx
@@LivingWalks Beautiful, isn'it? This evening, at 8.00 p.m. we all turned off all lights in the houses to turn on only torches and Phone lights from the balconies to see Italy illuminated on the satellite. Very moving! Thanks, my dearest for your words and thoughts!! And, please, take care you too! HUGS!! Renata
Oh Renata, what a special thing the human spirit proves to be when it is tested. Such beauty even though times are so hard. Thank you for sharing that with us.
