This is why since growing up myself, I tell young people to never idolize anyone you don't know. You have no idea what that person is doing behind closed doors. Instead, think about who you want to be and where you want to bein 10 years, and chase that version of yourself.

Not all of it. Cameras aren't on all the time and they have the power to shut people up. There is being famous and there is being well known within your industry. Famous people are people who are known by millions outside of their industry. Very few know these guys outside of the game industry.

I see a lot of comments on the videos on this topic saying to wait for more of the story. For...what?
1. He wrote in his message that he was talking to a minor. He knew she was a minor at some point because "I didn't know she was underage" isn't written anywhere in his statement.
2. He later states, "the conversations sometimes leaned too much in the direction of inappropriate." His very next sentence begins with, "Nothing illegal happened..."
That alone is illegal. Furthermore, by Dr Disrespects OWN standards, they're inappropriate conversations. So what do people need to see the chats for?
3. He also said, "...the conversationsSSSSSS". She's a minor. If you're saying hi to a fan, and talking about games, that is fine. However, if the minor initiates anything else, you cut it off. He didn't. He wrote "inappropriate conversations" as plural.
He is in California, and they seem to let people off for anything, especially crimes related to children. So I'm not surprised this didn't surface 7 years ago. Let me take a second to look up where Twitch is based.....Twitch Headquarters, San Francisco, California. Who would've thought it?
I did read there is a possibility that he was set up. For that to be valid, the girl, or whoever was playing as the girl, would've had to contact him first. If this is indeed what happened, then the law would actually take action on who set him up.
However, the man still, by his definition, had inappropriate conversations with someone who he believed to be a minor. While the law won't do anything to him, people still get to place their own judgement.
My point is all those details people keep saying to wait for is for the law, and who's involved in what happens. We are regular people who are not connected to it in anyway. We are only determining if we will associate with him or put our time toward him. No should need a full case file to make that decision.

Just my thought on the pay out Doc was signed to twitch for X amount of money a year when they banned him they most likely didn’t want to pay and the trial was for the contract not the minor or I’m pretty sure we would of known long before this.

As the story evolves it's getting weirder and weirder because twitch just came out and said that the two guys that wanted disrespect originally gone from twitch posed as a 17-year-old girl trying to make doc incriminate himself about something having to do with being sexual with the minor and it never happened. The two guys that didn't like dog was trying to get him fired from twitch then went to the FBI and showed them all of the texting back and forth between them and Dr disrespect not a 17-year-old. Then the FBI ruled out any wrong in the situation and then Dr disrespect told twitch that it would be in the best interest of his career if this never even got shown the public because the people would make videos saying otherwise even though it wasn't true hence a video like this. Twitch in 2017 then fire those two guys from twitch and Dr disrespect filed a lawsuit of defamation of character afterwards. Now we're here today where people are making false claims without knowing the full story. Honestly I can't wait to see how all this plays out whether it be good or bad

@@ShortyIndexOfficial the whole story hasn't come out, everyday on line in call of duty you hear grown azz men engaging with minors in all kinds of fashion even as to go as far as to tall them to kill themselves. If he's guilty he deserves everything he he gets. As of right now the FBI investigated the case and couldn't find any sexual findings of him and those 2 grown men.

It’s crazy. I’m 27 and was a huge fan of this guy. I’m a father of multiple kids, and he always gave me inspiration to be a good father and still be a gamer. I don’t in the slightest agree with him cheating on his wife before but I know people make mistakes and deserve second chances. But this, this is insane. He is now my example on why I won’t be supporting any big named people in the entertainment industry cause this proves you don’t truly know the person. Their characters are all fronts and facades. I couldn’t imagine even cheating on my wife but talking to a minor behind her back? Disgusting.

I was a Dr.Disrespect fan but he was messaging a girl only four years older then my daughter now, and as a father there is no grey areas here, and Dr.Disrespect as a father also shouldn't have had any grey areas either. I am aware that nothing physical happened but there was a entire show called To Catch A Predator where they caught tons of people that did stuff very similar to what happened in this situation.
This isn't a Left vs Right political this is a moral compass issue. This should be cut and dry case, his own streaming friends have stated the very same opinion as mine. Please seek help if you think these types of actions are ok by anyone.

This is the world in which we live, nobody gives a dam about you because of MONEY and the greed that comes with it.
I have been a streamer/video poster since 2010 and had over 1100 videos up to 2018 when i decided that 100 subs was not going up i deleted all of my video's on YT and Twitch and quit, i then came back 3 yrs later to give it another try and its still not working, i know i have nothing to offer and you cannot engage with NO viewers even though i am a pretty good bluffer, but my whole ethos is that if i had become popular i would never take for granted how i got their.
I have followed some great YT people from when they had 10 subs and chatted with them for yrs and not once did i ever ask for them to follow me and none of them have, that goes to show the level of interest they have of the followers that support them.
NO this is NOT a begging letter, i'm well past that now.
People like all the top youtubers from DrD to timthetatman do not give a shit about anything except viewers, and as soon as something goes wrong they will dump on you faster than anything, if you cheated in a game they would call you out if you were joe bloggs but they wont call out the people they play with even though its bloody obvious they cheat....I really do not trust many streamers these days.

I ready your whole message and can relate to it I have had many channels through out the years and tried like you many different times to be at least at some level successful on RUclips. The one thing I always did was make content that I thought others would want to watch rather then content I wanted to watch. The second I made that switch my audience started to grow and I have been so thankful for it a try to respond to as many comments as I can and to make sure I at least read the comments and interact with them this is true from 10 subs to my current number. The sad truth is is that it’s a two way street I can be positive and interact as much as I want but if it just me like you said doing everything you can feel very alone here on RUclips. You had me worried there for a second, I'm late because i was coaching and travelling for soccer, for me family comes first 100 percent and if that means I'm late to a topic that's ok, but I'm still going to put my opinion out here. This will be my only video on the topic as like i said i just want my opinion out there as well. there is stuff in the background yes you are right, but i have been on the popular viral side of the internet on TikTok ( search ShortyIndex 440k followers is the account) where people messaged me all kinds of things and you know what i did ignored them. As you said it he went rogue, that was a choice, another choice was to message and entertain conversations that should not have been being had. No if he didn't know the age of said minor that would of been his number one defense. Finally i agree with you no one at the age of 35 should be interested in anyone below the age of 25. I don't think we will ever get the full story as its been already covered up for 7 years, but even NickMercs And TimTheTatMan of publicly made their stance known and for me that's all I'm doing as well. I dont understand why people are hating on Doc. We all make mistakes and arguably he didn't do anything illegal, what goes on with his personal life and his family is his own business and not the publics. The fact he never met the person and no pictures were shared plus she is age of consent. The fact is Twitch spied on him which went against the Terms of Service is illegal and thats why they paid him in court. Also celebrity figures like Jerry Seinfeld who dated a 17 year old at the age of 38 doesnt get cancelled, not to mention all the sexual peeedo's in Hollywood (Diddy, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Operah, etc) that you all continue to watch and follow on social media, you all need a reality check.
