Just retired and getting back in the hobby, when I was in, 1/48th scale represented the largest portion of aircraft kits scale. That made for a large build out on the heavy bombers. I haven't been brave enough to try one of these big guys, The instrument panel very impressive and a lot more detailing for cockpit. Canopy nicely detailed. The sprue connections appear to be a good size for disconnect, even small parts. Large scale allows for more decals. I do wish they'd but the Swastikas back on Decals. And Eric Hartman excellent choice. Someday I'd like to see Armour and aircraft equal scale.
Take a risk and enjoy the new kits. The fit is amazing. Buy extra thin quick setting glue and watch a box of parts turn into an aeroplane fast. I look at today's kits and decide on using a decal on instrument panels or buying a photo etch accessory. Older kits have available accessory kits that can make them stand out. I bought a sheet of swastikas in 1992. I still have many of every size.
Hmm, nice shots of the sprues, but is this going to be the new format of your vids? I prefer the previous format with your discussion and reviews much better.
No, this is the exception. I'm in the middle of a house move now so the usual format is a bit of a challenge at the moment. I'll be back to regular taking head video in the coming weeks.
They should have put little smiley faces on those ejector pins. Up yours mate! Need a bucket of putty there, eh? Too bad those things can not be on the sprue.
@@modelpro72 ZM always had pretty poor exterior detail. Their interior details is nice but a lot of it is just hidden in the fuselage. Looks like a grainy texture too but it might be the zoom and light. In any case its got less detail than many modern 1/48 kits have, so pass for me too.
No rivets on a new tooled 1:32 kit is a big fail in my opinion, a pass for me.. Same mistake as the did on there Do335 compared to the HK models kit. The eduard 1:48 109 G family looks far superior when it comes to rivet detail.
Honestly, I'm dissapointed. The surface of the whole plastic is not smooth, it's grainy. Ejector pin marks on the inner side of engine cowlings looks terrifying. Control surfaces (ailerons, elevator & rudder) look worse, than stellar, in detail. All in all - an average and expensive set.
It's a plastic model kit, when you glue and paint the parts it will look like a me109 I don't know what people like you expect nowadays, the level of detail is more than acceptable for the price,if you don't like it don't buy it that's your choice, instead of slagging zoukei moura why don't you spend millions of dollars/euros or pounds setting up your own plastic model kit company and see if you can do any better for the same price? You won't will you
@@matthewfindlay2242 I won't buy it, mate, because it's quality is not adequate for it's exorbitant price... Instead, I'd like to buy a much cheaper Revell kit and a bunch of resin correction parts and it will a better value for my wallet...
I have this model. I can tell you that the Zoukei-Mura Bf 109 kit plays in a different league. I have built the Revell and Hasegawa 1/32 109 kits. The Revell 109 is very averange. Once you start buying aftermarket for the Revell kit, you quickly push it into the cost of the ZM kit. So it is hard to say that it is a cheaper option. 😆
Niiiice. But damn, some of these ejector pin marks...

ZM needs to step up a little bit an focus more on rivets etc, rather than hidden stuff like framing, which is inaccurate anyway

For me it's not looking like ultimate model Bf-109
