This video just saved me from a massive headache. I purchased a new auger motor, hooked it up, and it went the wrong way. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Successfully changed the rotation.
Thanks. This really helped me get my corn stove going with a motor which was CCW. With your guidance I was able to switch it to CW rotation. Nice short video on the technique.
@@reubentalbott oof. I got mine shipped clockwise.not ccw. It was a real headsratcher to deduce why it was jamming lol. Luckily I didn't burn up my new motor. It blew the fuse after jamming
I'm so glad I found this video. I bought an aftermarket replacement motor that came with the wrong ends and turned in the wrong direction. I now have heat again. My wife is happy.
Thank you! Got around to fixing my icemaker for my fridge that was given to me dispensing ice backwards auger motor needed to be flipped everybody else and replace it and other parts. You make it worth watching RUclips!!
You rock !! Thank you so much for doin this video !!! I thought I was going crazy or I bought the wrong part ! I was wondering does it have to be outside the pellet stove in order to do this ? 💜💜💜💜
So glad to hear the video was helpful! Yes, the auger motor will need to be removed to do this. Workshop bench is ideal, it's a pretty quick switch. Any other questions just let us know! Thanks.
So what if the new auger motor I recieved won't allow me to do that? Reason: when I flip the magnet over, the plastic around the armature is taller than the original way and won't allow me to seat the magnet down to the gear box. Help me please.
Thanks for contacting us. See if you can 'trim' down the plastic a bit to allow the magnet to seat properly. If it doesn't look like that is possible, then your best bet will be to return the motor and get the direction you need.
Am I correct that this technique will work on a US Stove Motor? Was this a US Stove motor? If so, was it a US Stove Auger Motor #80488 or a Agitator Motor #80456 ?
Hey Richard, thanks for contacting us. Yes, this technique will work for any standard auger motor or agitator motor including the USSC 80488 and 80456 motors. The motor in the video I believe was a 1 RPM which we offer as replacement for the 80488 motor. We also offer the 4 RPM replacement for the 80456 Motor. Any other questions please let us know. Thanks!
