    As a Civil Engineer, the stations design are the modern version of the Bahay na Bato continued by Mañosa and Company founded by the late Architect Francisco "Bobby" Mañosa National Artist for Architecture the Mañosa children who are Architects carried out their late father's legacy who also designed the LRT-1 stations based on the traditional Filipino house "Bahay Kubo", his original drawings can be seen at the Southbound side of Doroteo Jose Station.

      i agree it seems like it was a tribute from the old station designs with a modernize touch.

      @dmitrivalencia Architect Bobby Mañosa's vision was incorporating modernity and traditional Filipino aesthetics like the San Miguel Corporation Headquarters in Mandaluyong City inspired from the Banaue Rice Terraces. My boss is a Civil Engineer and owner of a Construction Firm is a close friend of Architect Bobby Mañosa I've seen his designs at the Mañosa family house in Ayala Alabang in 2016 and we have a privilege to meet the man himself.

    So it took 5 administrations from the 1990s just to get this phase 1 completed. So phase 2 figure 10 years and pbase 3 another 10 years? Actually there are no announced timelines.

    Why on gods green earth did they not connect Dr Santos Station to SM City Sucat. Right now it has no parking making it useless for shifting people out of their cars and onto public transportation if they had connected it to SM City Sucat it would have parking and it would be usable by all the people working there.

    • @maxteel2017
      @maxteel2017 24 дня назад +2

      Did you see surrounding area of the Dr Santos Station? It is surrounded by slums and low income families and not by gated subdivisions where most people who have cars lives. The target market of this station is the poor who can't afford to buy a car.

    • @jeffmaas9308
      @jeffmaas9308 24 дня назад +1

      @@maxteel2017 and if you look the other direction you see Better Living, Merville and Moonwalk all areas that are in fact gated communities. If you connect the station to the mall you gain pickup areas and you gain parking. From Merville, Moonwalk and better Living to SM Sucat is a 10 minute drive or ride on a motorcycle. Parents could drop kids off to go via the MRT to university, couples could split the car by having one drop the other off and continuing on their way. I regularly drive to the SM in Makati and hop the MRT from there rather than driving on EDSA when I have appointments on EDSA.
      You will remove more cars from the roads and improve traffic more by targeting people who actually drive and what I am suggesting does nothing negative to those on the other side living in the slum they still have access to the MRT. My suggestion makes it easier for them as well and allows them to pick up things they need at home on their way home.

      As much as possible. The national government doesn't want to collaborate with any private ownership. Unless otherwise necessary. Its sole purpose is to protect the interest of the People. Imagine connecting the station to them is like giving them access to free flow of money. They ain't giving u back the same interest as what our government does.

    • @jeffmaas9308
      @jeffmaas9308 24 дня назад +1

      @@j-user3708 Countless stations are already in actual malls like SM North Edsa. This isn't a one sided relationship the government gets a free flow of people and they get parking lots which are maintained at 0 cost. But there are many interests of the people, another reply of mine focused on the poor living in the under developed region on one side of the station ignoring the wealthy neighborhood on the other. Is the interest of the people to reduce the need for cars and thus reduce traffic? Is the interest of the people accessible stations for people with disabilities? The interest of the people regularly includes public private partnerships. This station should physically be connected to the mall that is very close by and right now is effectively inaccessible it was a poor decision.

    Ika nga sa kasabihan ni Presidente, tangkilikin natin ang tren sa halip na magdala pa kayo ng sariling sasakyan na de-kotse na nagdudulot ng traffic.
    Congratulations to Light Rail Transit Authority or LRTA owner of LRT Line 1 and Light Rail Manila Corporation or LRMC private operator of LRT Line 1

Blueprint nyan kay Marcos Sr. pa haha. Kita mo umabot pa sa term ni PBBM 😂 at ang ganda ng naging resulta, kudos to PBBM admin.
