The 3D compounds and polishes are top of the line stuff. I use it to buff on wet sanded Imron at work. Chemical Guys pad cleaner is also amazing for cleaning out your pads when done. Keep up the good work Brew2l!
Short strokes! You’re killing me! 🤣🤣🤣 A bottom end kit to a short stroker will fix the issue. 🤣🤣 Sorry couldn’t resist my Brother. Seriously though…Great video and timeless tips. I really appreciate this video and will be saving it to a playlist for reference when I detail my 🦊 this summer. 💯👊🏾
Best buffer i have ever used hands down is from automagic. Uses two pads which both osilate and spin. 3 or 4 stage process with incredible finish. Best part was it made it nearly impossible to burn or swirl..... long time viewer and fellow fox owner
Now You are talking! I live for detailing! I've never wet sanded a car. The finish looks amazing! Great video. I love My FLEX3401. I like ACA500 very much. Perfect Finish is My go to finishing polish.
Like your choices! The 3d ACA compound and polish line is the best, what you used with the wool pad. I still finish out with 3000 trizact then I use 3D compound with a rotary and polish with a DA. Great video thanks.
Really great information video, sometimes not knowing what to use to start out, and where to finish with, great tips bud to us novice paint repair work.
As far as sanding the paint the Trizact pads for a da sander work incredible! Saves a ton of time. Few squirts of water and let the da do the work. If you use the 3000 pad you can skip the coarse polishing step and go right to fine. Something to think about on older paint that just needs a buff
I’ve always used a rotary and I think I’m going to try an orbital when I paint my fox. You make it look easy but I know how much work it is lol. Looks really nice 👍🏻
Great info 👍, I've always used the 3m perfect-it with my conventional buffer just because thats what my ol man always used. But I bought a harbor frieght random orbital a while back and its actually pretty decent. I'm gonna grab some of those pads and compound you use and give them a try. Thanks for always sharing info and teaching
Long time since I've commented. I'm curious how wet sanding and this 2 step method works on single stage paints. Ford didn't start clear coating their Foxbodies until 1990. So this leaves questions on the 89 and below models. My paint is original and I'm very careful with it. That said, it's black and shows everything!
My 1986 mustang convertible was factory base/ clear. Sanded it all down to bare metal last summer. This method works great on non metallic ( solid color) single stage paint. If it is metallic then the micro flakes will show orientation change from sanding.
@@willsachs ?? That's not what I read regarding Ford's painting of vehicles. Maybe it could have been ordered??? Hmmmm No, mine is single stage, non metallic, so maybe it will work well
Hey Brew I have a upper and lower GT40 explorer intake I'm not sure how I can get you a picture since you can't do pictures on here I know cleaned up and painted and looking all pretty people are asking outrageous money how much are they value-wise straight off a motor and needs cleaned and painted
What about if you aren't wet sanding, and just removing swirl marks? Would the same combo apply or would you recommend something else? Thanks for the tips!
Perfectly timed, I just painted my front bumper and have been buffing it. What do you do about harder to reach areas like the dip where the pin strip goes in the molding? My pad has had a hard time getting in there and bringing the shine back after wet sanding. Just keep hitting it?
Thanks, BREW2L, info is much appreciated!
Good stuff great info 👍🏻
Looking great !! Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday weekend!
Man I’ve been waiting on a video like this. I’ve looked them up before but never found a video from someone I watch regularly on RUclips. Thanks
You’re welcome. Glad the video helped 😎
Preach!!
😎🙌
Short strokes for different folks... that should have been in yesterday's video lmao. And as always great video.

@@BREW2LFOXBODY Your videos are great Bro. You are always so relaxed and explain things well. It is as if we are a guest in your shop. 💯
Great video! I'm still using 3M machine glaze from way back when
Proved over 20 years ago doin this by hand is the best way and still is today
Bro that worked real well. Nice job. I'll hit you up later when I paint the wife's car for a reminder of what I'll need.
Thanks mane 😎
I was actually in the market to get this done to my car but now thanks to this video I’m going to try it myself you rock!!👊🏻

That bauer is the one I got, love it.
Good job brother.

Looks slick man. Mine has horrible orange peel and is in dire need of a good wet sand and buff.
Hey brewel. Could you do a quick follow up on how to clean your pads afterward?
Man after having alot of foxbodys those gt bodykit mounts make them swiss cheese!!!

Great job, great video. Wet sanding and buffing can make a good paint job a great paint job!
Good job! I just did some painting on my Ramcharger and orange peeled it like a pro - 2000 grit and ultra cut made it all fine!

I use those as well. 👌
Great stuff. Would love to see how you attack tough spots like where the top of the rear bumper curls up to the ledge under the taillights.
My man ALWAYS dropping knowledge! Thank you brother, I love your passion for the hobby! The BEST Dang FOXBODY CHANNEL PERIOD!👈💯

Never saw ANY clear coat last longer than 36 months staying outside.
Nothing is as good as OEM.

You’ll never get a try finish without a DA. Pick one up and throw a correcting light on your work area and you’ll drive your self crazy 😜

How about white trizact paper that's 3000 grit. It works wonderful.
Can I use this same process to get rid of acid rain etching? I tried just buffing with a foam pad and it did nothing.
👍

Yep the blue and yellow combo should serve you well.
I've got a 88GT with original paint will this work to shine it up. But I'm assuming I wouldn't need to do any wet sanding?
The Harbor freight pads and the Rupes are the same. Both made in germany. Save your $.

Try a smaller polisher. I love My Adam's mini swirl killer. Inexpensive and VERY effective .
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻✌🏻😍
NO NO NO I'M OUT. We 1500 3000 then 5000. I absolutely hate it.
Watch that b21 video i want on that talks alot of shit!!!!!
