Pantlaza is a real dinosaur tribal/typal commander that brings incremental card advantage/value and has synergies with flash and flicker which is cute while being less of a removal magnet than gishath and therefore a better option. Wayta on the other hand is a completely different commander with some enrage dinos like cacophodon and damaged based ones but also other cards like brash taunter etc. which just plays differently and mostly wins with star of extinction and the like while dino tribal just smashes!
Casting a star of extinction in a pantlaza deck with temple altisaur out is just a flavor win.
@@hiddenleaf414 How is it flavorful if you're dinosaurs are the only ones that live...
If you were to blink pantlaza, bring technically a new permanent, that would reset the once per turn clause right?
Gonna build them both. Love me some good blink decks like Mother Elesh Norn, Atraxa Grand Unifier or Rukarumel and Pantlaza fits right in this section.
Wayta on the other hand is the more unique build here, imo, and probably the best enrage commander till today.
Can‘t wait for the kickoff on friday, will be a lot of fun to build them both!
I plan on getting this deck mostly to soup up my existing gishath deck and to get extra copies of staples, but now I'm thinking of spinning off the back up commander into her own deck. Seems more powerful than I orignally gave it credit for.
Take out some of the enrage enablers (like caltrops and the phyrexian gruul planeswalker) from my gishath deck and put it in the new deck.
I have never been so excited for a set before. I want all the pre cons for upgrades and I want packs for some of the other cards too.
Both are really good commanders, but I find Wayta more interesting to build up, Stuffy doll, Vrondiss and Boros Reckoner are powerful techs combined with Wayta, not to mention Cacophodon creates infinite enrage combos in this deck if you make your creatures indestructible.
Wouldn’t blinking pantlaza reset the ability so you could trigger multiple times a turn? Restoration Angel + Life finds a way
Now comes the real question: Pantlaza Vs. Gishath. Who is the real king of the dinosaurs?
With ancient imperiosaur, since it enters the battlefield with the +1/+1 counters, is it a 6/6 for pantlaza's effect or do we count the counters in ?
Pantlaza sees the toughness+counters for a big discover trigger
@@ADamItalian1173 that's how i played it...discover 12 into zacama xD
both have good but i personaly prefer the blink deck pantalza. Dinosaur have great etb and when we mix it with the discover ability + the blink engine we got great card advantage + fun interaction.
Pantlaza is really good for the precon but im even more excited to replace some cards with other enrage dinos to make a Wayta deck.
hopefully you do a commander deckprofil for wayta :D
So I could cast a Dino, discover for it, blink Pantlaza, choose not to trigger her ability on her and then cast ANOTHER Dino and discover for that? Seems expensive to do but quite powerful.
Cascade is inherently going to win. Busted ability.
I’d argue pantlaza can get a bit more ridiculous the second you build a low mana curve deck with infinite blink I mean the cedh are building it like etali
I'm new and I only have Waifu decks plus isshin so far but I love pantlaza.
Actually blinking pantlaza resets her once per turn ability allowing multiple uses
True. But it's always gonna be discover 4 then, because it's based on Pantlaza. Wish there was a sneakier way around it. Haha.
@@thesamuraiman Pantlaza's discover is actually a "may" ability, so you don't have to activate it on the first Dino cast. So you could cast a big dino, blink Pantlaza, choose to not active it's ability, then play another big dino!
Can't stand Wayta. There will be no illegal Dinosaur pit fighting in my Christian deck boxes.
Not me. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!
@@swawslord No harm shall come to the (sun) Emperor's Chosen tooth lizards. They shall be the instrument of His wrath.
Wayta and indoraptor with his enrage ability ia golden
But Indoraptor have black in its mana cost
@@pedrolarez6602 hybrid color
@@darthcaedus9130
Even if hybrid both colors are part of Commander identity. If you want Wayta and Indoraptor in the same deck you’d need a Commander with all the colors: green, red, white, and black.
@@liveanotheranime3526 huh. Interesting. Thanks for the info
Who’s more powerful? Idk but I’ll have a lot more fun playing with Dinos
The real Ixalan dino commander fight is Pantlaza VS Huatli
Pantlaza and Sneak Attack
Pantlaza flicker
Pantlaza is actually viable as a cedh commander, Wayta not so much.
Close quarters come on
lets be honest the real answer to this question is Gishath cant be perfection
I'm getting the velociramptor deck just to take it apart and soup up my existing gishath deck.
