What a horrible expansion tbh. Even more swingy top decking cards? No thank you. The game is hyper quick as it is and usually whoever picks most Wraethe cards wins in my experience in almost 10 games. I was somewhat looking forward to this but the power ramp is way, way too over the top.
willbeplayin apparently you haven’t played much then because I rarely go for them and win most games so yea. You can complain about top decking cards in literally any deck builder. If that turns you off then why are you playing deck builders?
@@SuperPilotMike I really like games like Trains or Tyrants of the Underdark which to me are the two best in that genre. In both games there aren't those "Hail Mary" top deck moments. :)
@@adelfaidah3224 *are not, you meant to say? :) I don't feel the need to separate deckbuilding with a board on the side and only card based deckbuilders. It's just a mechanic and some games do it better than others. I really don't like Dominion for example. Shards is a good game, not mocking it, just feeling that the expansion could've been a bit better.
@@willbeplayin yes I meant "are" my bad lol. I do understand that, but my point is a board game (As it can have tons of other elements to it other than cards) can balance deck-building far easier than a pure deck-builder card game. Therefore, in my opinion it really is not fair to compare these two as the board games will almost definitely win in terms of balance.
Picking characters is TIGHT!
"but won't people want more in an expansion?"
Not really, barely an inconvenience.
I personally disagree with your assessment of the expansion, but I greatly enjoy the reference.
Have you tried the new multiplayer rules? Are they good?
6:59 you crushed the box!! *cringe*
TheRmm1976 who cares
only those of us who are OCD about our game boxes :)
It was already like that.
@@TheRmm1976Why?...its a container for an expansion that is not needed.
probably got it for free anyways and no need to keep it, if all fits in main box
Which is the better game; this or Eternal Card Game?
