This is a stock Tamiya TT-01D. Everything you see is part of the kit besides the servo, receiver and brushless (motor and esc). The kit does come with a brushed motor and ESC(electronic speed controler). For you to get this running from a kit you would need to buy a servo and radio gear. Its about 180CAD but you could also get a ready to run for probably 350$ if you look around. Let me know if that helps or you need further info. Thanks for the feedback.
Went to my local hobby shop to get this body but not knowing it's in very high demand and out of stock been backed order about 3 weeks now can't wait till it gets in love the old style body's. Btw beautiful car
@cossieboy2007 Thanks glad you liked it. I always appreciate the feedback. It's a great chassis. I will be posting an upgrade video this weekend. I will be installing the Active Hobbies CounterSteer kit, CVD's all around, ball bearing steering horns and a front one-way Diff....
Thanks...Appreciate that.I'm running a hobbywing esc and motor combo. The 5.5t motor was fine just overkill for nothing. Thanks again for all the kind words
Nice job! makes want to get the kit. Love the blue might go a little lighter for my car. I have a 73 240Z and want to match it up. Very cool kit, job well done.
@muhammadrayhan9721 My other drift car has the 350Z body. I have painted a skyline body for the tt-01D. Just haven't had a chance to trim it. Should post it up soon.
@Granturismoman Always. Working on setting up counter-steer on my TT-01. Also looking a some new potential for a second drift car. I'm leaning towards a TB-03D VDS or maybe just the TB-03D
Wow, great video dude. Also car looks great (I personally would have tinted the windows also). Time lapse RC build videos..... i wish youtube had more of these. Thanks.
@shawnroy81 Many thanks as well. Already have an rc car, an older nitro rs4, been trying to find a nice z body i could cut/paste to use on it for awhile. Sadly, like as is the case here, everything im finding has just been a complete kit, or its from some japanese website thats of little to no use to me haha
If its not too much to ask can we ask how much you spent on the cosmetics for this? Ie body, that LED kit, etc- and maybe post where we could find them ourselves? Many thanks!
Nice build! But in the future, you should paint the inside black after you've painted the body. This is to prevent extra light showing from your leds except where they should only be showing.
First off, really awesome video's shawnroy81, thanks for posting them (short sharp, straight to the good bits that everyone wants to see!). Next question, what kit are you running with this TT-01 now? I've picked up one of these exact kits, and want to run a fast(ish) motor and ESC, but noted you didn't think the 5.5T Hobbywing motor was a good match? Thanks for posting such a comprehensive set of vids on this stuff, if you aren't you really should seek sponsorship from a hobbyshop!
I don't get why tamiya does this weird trught the window stuff isn't it easyer to put it elswhere and of I put it on with magnets there are two úgy things on the rear window
Hey there, I like your videos and would like to buy a Tamiya TT01D type-E as a drift build and would like to drift on road (not only smooth concrete) and I'm pretty new to this. I have seen a few videos where the Expert Builds TT01 aren't that great and can't maintain the drift. Could you please help me? I'm thinking of getting a Kitset but it doesn't come with the transmitter etc. I'm in New Zealand and am planning to but it from tamiya-shop.co.nz website. Thanks :D
Its a backing color. Makes the blue color pop more and also more resilient to scratches.
Like the speed build and commentry . . . just going to watch other parts :-) I so want this kit.
Nice simple and clean . Very refreshing to see instead of flames stripes and skulls .
thanks...appreciate it
shawnroy81
No problem , your work is inspiring to me
thanks man...Appreciate it.

@shawnroy81 tip paint the tail lights a translucent red so the led will show through gives it a very nice look.

@BrothrBob You won't regret this purchase. Great kit.
Nice job! makes want to get the kit. Love the blue might go a little lighter for my car. I have a 73 240Z and want to match it up. Very cool kit, job well done.
I own several Tamiya products, just might have to buy this kit now...

@BrothrBob I used Pactra Fluorescent Blue and I backed it with Pactra Fluorescent Overcoat. Hope that helps

@shawnroy81 Many thanks as well. Already have an rc car, an older nitro rs4, been trying to find a nice z body i could cut/paste to use on it for awhile. 湾岸ミットナイト、悪魔のZ
めっちゃカッコいいんだけど✨👍️😃⤴️⤴️
is the backing colour a specific type of spray or just any white can of spray paint? thanks.
I purchase mine from my local hobby shop....HobbyHobby in Mississauga...Not sure on that last one
Legend! Awesome video.
nice ride
If its not too much to ask can we ask how much you spent on the cosmetics for this? Ie body, that LED kit, etc- and maybe post where we could find them ourselves? Many thanks!
It can be anything. I used pactra white on this one.
Nice build! But in the future, you should paint the inside black after you've painted the body. This is to prevent extra light showing from your leds except where they should only be showing.
do the stock body post holes on this body line up with a TT-01?
What's the specific color used for the body? I want to try to duplicate it if possibe? I'm looking on eBay for the kit right now,,,
@Ronaldo95163 No its in the TT-01ED datsun drift
Looks real nice.

YEp. I had no issues. It's all about taking your time.
yes it is...Check my playlist...I have numerous run videos of this kit.
Do u have the part number for the body and light buckets etc?
HobbyHobby près de chez mois. Sont vraiment bon prix. moins de 170$ avec le kit LED, esc et le moteur.
Good job man!
Thanks
Nice!
Is this the rally body BTW cuz i've been looking for a 240z body and all I keep finding is the rally versions
I don't have the part number. Sorry it was included in my TT-01D kit.
You should look into getting magnetic body mounts for your road cars, saves having ugly black posts sticking out of the body. love the blue though
Your voice sounds like paul walker👍
briggs espejo lol...thanks
Very nice!
where do you get those body-ies ffrom? tell me plz
Does it come with lights ?
Is it RC? If it is could you show us a video of it in motion please?
@shawnroy81 my Dad has a tb-03d vds and i have to say it is pretty nice would go TB-03 VDS> TB-03D
Thanks. For the expert build vs the kit there should be no difference in the drifting ability. Both vehicles are the same.
were the holes already drilled?
Where do you buy that body?
Wangan midnight?
Not sure why you would post that....As you can tell by the bellow comments I always respond.
