RPCS3 - Drakengard 3 Now Playable at 60fps! (4K IR Gameplay)

- Thanks to Whatcookie making another FPS patch, it is now possible to play Drakengard 3 above the game's internal 30 FPS cap! While the footage was recorded at 60 FPS with a relatively stable frame-rate, it's also possible to play at 120 FPS, however it will break the lock-on feature when flying the dragon minor. And without more optimizations or faster hardware it's quite difficult to reach a stable 120FPS currently.
Patch Instructions:
Open RPCS3, click the "Manage" drop-down then "Game Patches".
Download the latest patches then find Drakengard 3 under your GameID (easiest to tick "only show owned games").
Enable the FPS Unlock patch and save.
Right-click Drakengard 3 and create a custom configuration for the game.
Go to the advanced tab, set Vblank to 120hz for 60fps or 240hz for 120fps. Going any higher breaks jump height and locking on during dragon flight.
Save and your done.

RPCS3 at this point is remastering PS3 games, you guys are amazing.

I know, the original release drops into the 15 fps range from time to time. Ouch. I know PS3 is a fairly slow machine, but god damn did this game need some more optimization work.

RPCS3 is one of the most impressive emulators yet, especially considering the complexity of the PS3s cell processor and how it's used to handle a lot of GPU tasks with it's SPU's; I'm actually completely shocked they got PS3 emulation running THIS good.
It took a lot of blood, sweat and time to reach here. God bless the developers.

HOLY CRAP. I wasn't sure if this was going to be possible considering how badly this game engine performs on the base PS3. This is AMAZING!

PS3 came out 2006, this emulator and PC nearly 2020 of course it will finally be better than PS3 at this rate

@Oresama Taiko *-* Depends mostly on the game, PS3 exclusive games are working fine such as Persona 5 / Ni no Kuni, while multiplatform games mostly sucks, the purpose of having a PS3 is for exclusive titles not playing PC game as most of us already have a powerful PC :o

This is truly amazing. I was expecting a PS4 emulator would come out before a PS3 emulator due to the complexity of the cell processor. With all the great rpgs in the PS3 era, this is going to be one of the most used emulators ever.

On some cpu's overclocked u get locked 30fps is not that far away from 60fps locked. Maybe some rpcs3 optimizations and maybe one more cpu generation and in 1 or 2 years u will get your Infamous at 60fps.

Thank god, I stopped Drakengard 3 for RPCS3 after the first route since the gameplay wasn’t up to par with everything else I played and I can likely get back to it now

I Need Help ! When I install the firmware of the ps3 on rpcs3 , Avast Antivirus says : the rpcs3 file was quarantined because it was infected by another file (I don't remember the name of the file, it's something like IDC.Generic)
Finally this game that was considered bad due to gameplay being terribly low fps is finally playable at 60fps this is so great

I already have patch.yml with persona 5 setting in it, so if I replace it with drakengard's patch.yml, is going to be replaced completely(persona 5 yml gone) or merged?
i put the file were is the .exe and i change the ppu... later i put the vblank frecuency to 120 but still have 30 fps... i need help pls

whats the recommended PC configuration for flawless running of games.
I'm so trying this on my new GTX1060 laptop. EDIT: works great; however, I already have another patch.yml on RPCS3's root folder for Persona 5. I can change the name alternatively each time I play each game, but isn't there a way to have both at the same time?

Demons Souls ran at 60 except when physic objects were destoryed, it then dropped to 20 or sometimes 15 fps with an gtx 1070 8 gb and an i5 6600 non k @ 3.9 ghz aswell as an SSD, maybe in a year or two my specs will be able to play RPCS3 smoothly godspeed to you!
Before applying the patch my game was running ok in the menus but in gameplay FPS dropped to like 10 or less nonstop
After the patch now in gameplay I get 30 stables but every 5 seconds or so fps drop to 5-10 for a few sec, then back to 30, and so on
I'm running an i5 6500 3.20GHz and GTX1060, should I upgrade my processor? Resolution on the game is default
Wow, this is super cool. I shouldn't compare, but why does it seem like the PS3 can have many more 60 FPS hacks then the Wii or GC with Dolphin? Is it just the different architecture? Or, perhaps it only seems like more because you make a video on a lot of them.
