- No one knows how many soldiers have been killed in Ukraine since Russia launched its full-scale invasion in 2022. A few weeks ago, President Volodymyr Zelensky said the Ukrainian military death toll was 31,000, but independent experts say the real number is probably much higher. Russia doesn’t release numbers. In the chaos of advance or retreat, the bodies of soldiers from both sides are often left behind. DW correspondent Jan-Philipp Scholz accompanied volunteers trying to find and identify them.

Looks like many were blown apart, and that animals had made off with many of the remains. Many of the tags were probably destroyed or lost.

Doing the Lord's work! "They kill us, but we remain human." I couldn't have put it better. Kudos to the soldiers who don't lose sight of what they're fighting for and hold human dignity dear to their hearts! It brings to mind the history of the American Field Service, the volunteer wartime ambulance service turned cultural exchange program. Proud to be an alumni and proud of anyone who fights for peace, freedom and human rights.
Right now the issues is win!. The heroes will not be forgotten, they gave their lives for their homeland and freedom.
There were no Ukrainian soldiers corpses, those were civilians or Russian soldiers corpses, because only very very very few Ukrainian soldiers killed in this war. (According to western mainstrean medias).

@@DSan-kl2yc Yes they don't know the KIA though Zelensky officially stated 31K and meanwhile, they lack manpower despite having 850 K in the past. Russia has 617K in Ukraine. Now you can calculate how many should have gone if Ukraine lacks man power and cannot even rotate its troops properly.

Statistically speaking, this is far too small a sample size to draw any conclusions.
The russians tend to dont carry their soldiers corpses thats why ukranians have to do ita and then give them to russia back. Ukranians try to carry their soldiers corpses away imedIatly after they died, but it isnt always possible! There arent any ceasefires to carry away the corpses
Far more russians also die than ukranians roughly 1 to 4 thats a fact

all lies! There were only 31K KIA in Ukraine and all bodies have been already recovered. UKA lacks manpower because it only had 850 K last year and apparently 3 to 400K went on holiday or on sick leave.

Russia might not have the economy to fight this war for the long run, when we know that they are not fighting a single country, but many at once, and certainly, those will do anything to keep it going until "the last Ukrainian", since it's cheaper and less dangerous that way, or (big, loud OR here), Ukraine's government grow balls and realize they've been nothing but a cheap, disposable tool at NATO's disposal and call Russia for negotiations in their own (and solely) benefit, but you and I know who's gonna tell $elensky not to do so.
