    This video is so helpful, thank you. I’ve had mine for a year and I recently repotted it and changed the soil, I am regretting it because the soil is very moist and my baby is droopy. I have to now repot to a better draining soil.

    Hi
    Bought a dracena like this but it was only 1 stem in the planter with 2 heads.
    I've had it now for 2 months and it is sprouting 4 new heads along with the original 2! Is this normal? Should I start propagation now.
    Thanks for any tips

    I had a stem that started to rot. I cut off the 3 heads off and got rooting powder. the biggest head survived and is it's own plant now. It's name is Frank. lol

    Great video thank you! Is it ok to prune this plant to adjust size - particularly the width? Thank you

    Does the trunk continue to get thicker over time or does it stay the same size from when it was stem cut?
    Thanks!

    a north window does not get direct sun, I think you meant a south facing window-that is the window that can get the hottest (to varying degrees) depending on your climate. Nice video, and your plants are beautiful! Thank you for sharing!

      i was thinking the same thing, but i suppose he’s in the southern hemisphere somewhere… because indeed here, we get mostly eastern and southern hot sun

    Hello, I realize this video is a bit old. I’m hoping to get some help with my Dracaena. It grew to big for its pot was leaning and fell over. I repotted in a bit larger pot, but used straight indoor plant potting mix. The soil was extremely wet so I didn’t water it. That was about 3 months ago. I’ve been reaching as far as I can into the dirt and it does seem to be a lot dryer now. I’ve noticed the leaves are starting to get “ruffley” looking and the green seems to be fading in spots on some. I was thinking about watering but just am not sure. It’s about 5 ft tall. I wonder should I water her or repot. I really hope I can save her. Thank you for your time.

      Provided the leaves aren't turning yellow but are just fading in colour or if the leaves are curling or getting crispy at the edges it most likely needs a water, if you want to be 100% certain ide recommended using a moisture prob in the soil, but if it feels pretty dry watering should be ok and probably needed.

    Why is there a lot of dark stripes as the leaves come up out of the stock there's a lot of darkness there and some of the leaves are turning brown on the edges I have looked very closely I don't see any bugs but some things definitely going on I gave it a good spray with neem oil the other side is quite healthy no discoloration as of yet

    I just got one from the 99 (I know not the best place ) they look healthy and the roots to, but they put this red like wax on the part where they cut to harvest it. Is that normal

    • @jimy9992000
      @jimy9992000 Год назад +2

      I heard someone claim in a different video that they put red wax on the bottom end for when the grower receives the stems cut from the big mother stump back on the farm to know which side to put in the dirt for the arrangements sold in stores and green (mine looks black) wax on the top to prevent the cut from getting infected. But maybe different suppliers use different wax colors or it doesn't matter which end is up or down to grow roots.

    Can i hold my white tree frog once a day with bare hands and how do i rinse my hands before touching them do i use hot water or somthing

    • @reptiplantworks2294
      @reptiplantworks2294  3 года назад

      There are a few video where I talk about this subject but to repeat you don't want to hold frogs unless it's necessary once a day is definitely to much handling but when you have to hold them just wash your hands with water no soap or chemicals just water and leave your hands wet or even better wear disposable gloves.

    • @kolrickgreathouse454
      @kolrickgreathouse454 5 дней назад

      Prune them if you don’t like the look-they don’t bounce back. Check your roots to make sure you don’t have rot. If your soil is too must, it’ll struggle.

    What about flowers?

    • @reptiplantworks2294
      @reptiplantworks2294  Год назад

      They can flower on rare occasions but it's recommended to cut them of as they drain alot of nutrients from the plant.
