I’ve had a ram 1500. And I now have a gladiator. I would take the e gladiator all day over the ram. I get comments about how nice my truck is in my gladiator. Never got anyone saying anything in the ram. The fact I can take the freedom panels off in less than a minute and ride topless is awesome. I love my gladiator. I liked my ram. Was gonna trade up to a Gladiator as I've owned 5 Jeeps since high school and always loved them. Now going from a luxury 2018 RAM Laramie to a jeep gladiator is NOT easy...... I think they look cool! NOTHING ELSE! Get a RAM it's a couch on wheels, drives nice and quiet. ONLY reason to get a Gladiator is to a.)GO OFFROADING and even then you will need a lift and bigger tires as it's a longer wheelbase, and b.) COOL LOOKING. After those 2 things there is absolutely nothing you can compare the 2. I sooooo wanted to pull the trigger but couldn't give up my truck and 20K for a 21 gladiator rubicon..... I need something smaller though might look at the Ranger....
You don’t have front and rear lockers and sway bar releases with the ram. The gladiator is much better off road than a ram. The ram does not have the off road capability the Jeep has. If you want a fast grocery getter you get the ram if you want to go rock crawling and true off roading you get the Jeep.
