I have the same unit. I put on snap couplings for the hose and a quick shutoff valve at the connection. One of the best part of using this tripod is you can put it virtually anywhere, like sitting in a driveway, plus they dont walk around or drop in the setup.
I’ve had a few of these over the past couple of years and I love them. I do find that hard water can foul the rotating head eventually. I spray the whole head with some WD-40 every month or two and this seems to help. Also, be sure to drain and disconnect these during freezing weather. The thin aluminum tubing will burst if there is water still in the tube. Ask me how I know. 😂
My best results with keeping stuff running has been a vinegar water soak once a month. It works good when I stick to it but will say I don't always do so.
Let me just mention for anyone considering getting the cheaper ones on Amazon, don't do it. They are absolute hot garbage. I bought several on Amazon that were very highly rated, all of them broke in a month. My orbits are all still functioning fantastically. And they are built much better. Stick with the orbit or another reputable brand.

Jacks got a camera crew
He did really good with dealing with the water, etc. Did accidently bump stop and made me have to clip to parts together but damn good job for a kid.
Don't really have a need for this, but just got a dang good education on this type of sprinkler heqd!
Thank you as that is what I always try to do with this, even if you don't need a thing or already have it, I want you to know more about it.

So, the tripod could be used on... a sloped roof?😅
Yes. 🙃
