- 3rd Gen 4 Runner Door Speaker Adapters & Sound System Upgrade.
Modifying the door speaker mounts in my 1997 Toyota 4Runner. The OEM speaker mounts do not allow for speaker upgrades or up-sizing. I designed and built some custom speaker Adapters so I could mount these aftermarket Blaupunkt speakers. Works great with my new Kenwood head unit.

I need a pair
Any way you could make me a pair and I can pay you ?
What size were your replacement speakers? 5.25 or 6.5? And can you tell me more about that router speaker hole setup please? Have a feeling I'm going to wind up using a Dremel... Thanks for any response .
5.25 for the rear speakers. 6.5 in the front.
The Jasper Speaker Hole Jig makes quick work of cutting any diameter speaker hole.
All of that info is in the description of the video with links to the products.
Can I get the measurement brother!!!
I didn’t take measurements. I used the existing OEM plastic mounting plate and marked out the hole locations on the new plywood plate.
Hole size will depend on the aftermarket speaker you chose. I went with 1/4” larger hole for the speaker cutout.
You never got back to us 🧐
Will do an update video soon. System sounds great. A huge upgrade from the old system and a night & day improvement over the stock speakers.
Talking to much for nothing wasting time watching the video 😢😢😢
