I know this is not the place, but thought I'd give Louis and his store some credit. I have a HP laptop that had water damage. I fixed the laptop, but noticed one of the resistors broke off, and the laptop doesn't switch on unless it's plugged in. It still charges, and if I plug it out after switching on, it works. I sent Rossmann group an email, asking for assistance. They responded that they don't deal with HP laptops, but sent me contact details for 2 companies that could help. I'm not even a potential customer, and they still helped!

Hey this may be clickbaity, but if you can get repair estimates from apple from all your clients then you could format your videos like this: $1200 repaired for $100 [Macbook air CPU water damage] $1500 repaired for $10 [Macbook Pro cable resolder] $2500 repaired for $0 [Mac Pro RAM reseat] Money talks.
Yeah, it'd kind be like when people open up packs of cards and put up their valuations as a running total in the top corner. Louis could keep a running tab of how much he saved vs. customer estimates.

Louis, you replace many shorted caps. Can you discuss why ceramic smd caps end up being shorted. One cause is physical damage and thats observable. But what about when the cap looks ok. Seems the internal power layers are touching ground internally when they shouldn't be but what causes that. Is there a power spike? Is the dielectric failing?
I love your board repair videos because in these, your tangents come as a fun surprise. "And over here I'm going to poke the volts and the amps and other magic stuff, and by the way, stock market is a scam."

FLIR makes accessory cameras for android & iphone (USB C, micro USB, and lightning) about $300. The main reason I use my Mac is the operating system. One feature I really like on the Mac is mission control. I’ve used task viewer on my windows 10 machine that I built and still don’t like it.
