I went once to see Hadrian’s Wall somewhere ( where exactly I can’t remember). It was March so a bit chilly. Had late pub lunch and hot tea by the fire! It was so wonderful! Dark beans, and such a cozy atmosphere! Didn’t really want to leave.
😊i was very lucky to live in Castle Combe in a flat next-door to the white heart pub whilst working at the Manor House Hotel as F&B Manager in the late 80's. I'll never will forget this beautiful piece of countryside😢

The roofs of houses withe chimneys spires and,snow on slanting roofs,the yellow light at window,the big glass window s of houses and the hush and specks of snow after snowfall,is looking beautiful
There is something about cobble stoned streets, English country gardens, tea time, pubs, undergrounds and trains that are co ordinated so that you don’t really need a car for transport in England, and even Yorkshire pud!

@@aace7461 Is that why there were loud people on cell phones? I was saddened that one can't go anywhere without "voice pollution." That aside, the interior of the church was lovely. The Advent wreath and display of the late Queen's photographs were very touching.

To Jamie: there is an “atmosphere “ in England. It’s hard to define. Especially in these quaint places off the beaten track. It’s like a peaceful sanity that all is OK with the world. Hard to define but I haven’t been in England since the early 90s ; I was in my 30s then. The UK is just this amazing place. And buildings that are 1000 years old with atmosphere. And tea and scones and beautiful gardens and cobbled stone streets, etc. It’s just the best.
@@jamieboylan641 When you get there, the tourist info centers have all sorts of brochures of cool places to go. England is a very organized country. December to March or April used to be “off season” with cheaper air fares and hotels or B&Bs (Bread and Breakfast places). I hope you get to go soon. March and April are usually pleasant.

Really lovely, i grew up near there and we used to go to the big car boot sale in Castle Combe every Sunday back in the early 90's, moved away from the area in 2006 (didnt really want to). I do miss it, so vids like this are fantastic.
I have always wanted to visit the UK and specifically Cotswolds after the movie the Holiday and this confirms my desire to visit even more! It's so cute and quaint. I will be visiting later this year in the fall and I can't wait
