Most definitely! Man was in two classic and iconic tv series from the 80s and 90s as well as Die Hard! A legendary actor and seemed like a down to earth cool guy. R.I.P.

They are both gone now(Conrad and Ben)!😢 The curse of aging is literally burying your childhood. I loved this show and I especially loved the bond of Conrad and Ben. It was more like a young actor excited to work with one of his childhood favorites and it showed! ❤

This was a great introduction to Conrad. Replacing Kene Holiday had to be hell because Tyler was such a great character and the chemistry between Andy and Kene was stellar but Clarence had even stronger chemistry with Andy and he fit in perfectly with the show. I love how you see how tight they were off the bat. You could tell these two guys just clicked.
I love Clarence in Matlock. I like to pretend that Walker Texas Ranger never happened because I feel like this show fit him so much better.

I grew up with Walker like I did Matlock so I disagree with you there but I will say that I also love Clarence on Matlock and think he ended up being a perfect foil for Andy even more then Kene Holiday was. You could tell he and Andy clicked better too. The cast of seasons 4-6 of Matlock were perfect out of every other season.

Conrad! Lol I love Walker Texas Ranger. That is my show. I loved watching Matlock when it initially aired and still look at the re runs today, just like it’s new all over again. May Andy Griffith rest in power. Love his acting!

It's been a long time, but I loved this episode! I had forgotten how HARD the writer jammed Conrad and Ben together to show them hanging out this ep, but it's daytime tv ;) Great show.
Trying to decide who had the better chemistry Clarence Gilyard and Andy Griffith or Clarence Gilyard and Chuck Norris. That's a tough one.

I hate how Amazon prime doesn’t make every episode available. I watched the hunting party part one and then it jumped to a hole completely different episode. Part one ends with Matlock being arrested for having cocaine in his car. I’m looking forward to seeing what happened? How did he get out of that? But thank you for providing this clip. Amazon prime has done this for a couple of different shows have one part and not the other 🤦🏽♀️

I’d recommend downloading DVD rips. They have most two parters combined into an hour and a half long episode.

The problem is that I immediately get a copyright strike. I would have to split them in 4 parts or make other little changes to them. CBS has a 0 tolerance policy. This is why I am asking for more followers to join my channel, then I’ll take the time and do all that work , but monetisation would help..

the man saying we find the defendant not guilty is george spence he was in episode guest in the house of the andy griffith show he is a friend of andys dateing back to the old lost colony days when andy was just starting out as an actor.
R.I.P. to the late great Clarence Gilyard! Such a talented and lovable actor who starred in two iconic tv shows (Matlock & Walker Texas Ranger) and been apart of some iconic movies(Die Hard, Karate Kid 2 and Top Gun) he was a perfect replacement for the also great Kene Holiday who played the great Tyler Hudson. I wish we could've gotten a special two part episode where Tyler came back for Ben's help and he and Conrad having to work together to solve the case. I wonder what that dynamic could've been like.

Another great one that would nice to see is the episode when Ben defends a man sentenced to prison for a murder one of his old friends committed.
