I’m doing good, had a panic attack in bed last night which came as a shock as been doing better for a while, however not afraid, not angry, willing to accept and observe if it happens again!
Shaan , you have no idea how much you are helping people. I have your desensitisation guide and since then I am responding the right way. Everytime I get a hindrance I see an associated video from you which makes complete sense. thank you brother- from New Zealand
Going through a setback after being in recovery for many months. And insomnia was the main symptom that came back. This video was a great reminder in getting back to the fundamentals.
Forever grateful because of your videos Shann. It really helped me a lot by watching and applying it. And guess whaaaat, I recovered from anxiety! And thats because of you.
I usually can sleep(3-7h) but i get these weird feelings at the moment i start to drift off it's either jerk of random body part that wakes me up or i just get this feeling of fear in my stomach... some nights it's there some nights it's not. Nevertheless i always get stressed before going to bed because of it and it makes me wake up at night and sometimes i get insomnia because of it because i low key get scared of falling asleep again to not get those sensations.
I have gone through this when I was getting this weird feeling in my stomach and my body would just jerk of everytime I go to sleep. I was scared of it I thought something is really bad I could not sleep for days. Then I saw his video about this and he said not pressure your mind to sleep. Just lie down and do nothing even if you feel all the weird feelings just do nothing and I tried that and eventually I was able to fall asleep I didn't even know when I did I fall asleep so I think you should not stress on it. Just lie down and do nothing. No phone nothing just be there and eventually you will fall asleep.
Same I get those same fears during sleep, except it’s a feeling in my neck and feels like I can’t breathe in the middle of my sleep. I’ll wake up in a immediate panic attack and it’s so difficult to calm down afterwards
Im the same. I would be falling asleep and wake up in a panic with my heart racing and lots of fear. Then i wouldn't want to go back to sleep. Though i am so desperate for sleep. When i do finally sleep, I'm waking up in a panic again. It's a vicious cycle.
Before bed I have an anxiety management routine of drinking ginger tea, sitting in silence, doing a mindfulness exercise from the book 30 Days to Reduce Stress by Harper Daniels, and then a few deep breaths, and sometimes a little journaling.
Nice none of that shit works for me been on 30 meds and nothing tinnitus masker and still can’t shut off the brain like wtf don’t eat for like 4 hours before just a banana and water at 6pm and just water still can’t be tired like wtf
Hit or miss for me, some nights straight off and some takes hours like last night, 3 hours sleep with waking up about 4 times. Always wake about 3 am tho. Many rituals each night.
Same here. Thank you for your helpful tips. I sleep 4 hours some nights. Im a bit overtrained though. When i cut training i get up after 2 hours and 5.7 stone that just causes weight to plummet i just eat and train to gain muscle. Tough work but added 5kg. With no sleep there was nothing. Sometimes 4 pounds in a week could go.
Im definitely more focused on getting more sleep. I generally dont like to sleep to long. Working out and drinking chamomile tea before bed. Helps me get into a deeper sleep.
Bro, you’re a saint, but man, I am struggling with sleep. Sometimes I wake up becauuse I'm dizzy. I will dream the whole world is spinning, and then when i wake up im ok. Sometimes, when I’m about to fall asleep, I get pulsating tinnitus. Sometimes, I feel out of breath. Sometimes, I get a sudden rush in my stomach, like a rollercoaster. Sometimes, I literally forget to breathe when I fall asleep and wake up right after. Sometimes, I just get hypnic jerks. Sometimes, my whole body shakes hard, waking me up. Sometimes, I wake up with the feeling like my heart stopped. Other times, I wake up feeling completely okay. Every night it like god plays dice, and every time he pick a random symptoms to wake me up. A lot of the time i only sleep 1 hour at the time.
God bless you and thank you for sharing these videos I'm not in a recovered state but I'm trying so very hard. I've picked up volunteer work so that helps me a lot and I'm so thankful that you share these videos.
Every Sunday I’ll crash out middle of the day for like 6 hours then be up for 24 hours straight going to work the gym other hobbies it’s kinda miserable
I get confused by watching the video because I can get everything to be done pretty easily during the day, even though it is very hard high intensity exercise, I can stay positive all day long but night turns different. I sleep 3-4 hours every night, wake up and never go back into deep state of sleep again. I'm confused because I wonder what is the goal, since my life's become wonderful now, my anxiety's gone away but my sleep remains the same.
Good morning Shaan I know am getting better but this headache burning sensation heaviness feel like something is running up on down in my brain what to do please
I think I'm already on the recovery journey.. but I'm still not able to sleep as much as I used to, some days almost no sleep... Does it work that way for everyone?
Same here! Sometimes I feel fine with minimal symptoms for a week, but I still get maximum 3hrs of sleep without waking up. I always go to sleep quite easy, but it is hard for me to slee through the night. But then after good week I had a setback for 3 days ( I guess it was a setback because actually most of my symptoms came back ), and when the setback came down, I managed to get 6 hours of sleep without waking up! It was first time after 2 months of anxiety that I got that much sleep. But yeah today was another bad sleep night when I woke up every hour and go back to sleep, even if my symptoms now are pretty managable and I feel fine. So yeah, I guess tou can be in your recovery, feel fine, but still have trouble sleeping. We got this, good luck!
i guess its over for me, how come will i stay alive if i cant sleep. Plus im always having stress and anxiety and always staying sad. Im gonna give up i guess, i cant, anymore
So thankful for your videos and your channel and that you exist so helped med alot through a really short time! Im already feel so much better not kidding👊🏽🫶🏽

Paradoxical thinking helps as well. Instead of forcing to sleep or worrying about it, tell yourself its not a big deal.
