I absolutely love these pages Vicky. This Japanese lady is gorgeous. Please keep showing us your Art Journal projects as they are so inspiring. I don't care what size they are, I just love them all.
Gorgeous page. To me it doesn’t matter what size you do, 6x6, tag or card size, or larger. I just love that you share so much inspiration & so many ideas to adapt them to what might work for your viewers. You create beautiful projects, & I am grateful that you share so much with us. Can’t wait to see what others you’ve come up while taking a break & spending time with your family. Thanks Vicky!!
I've been following you for many years and enjoy each and ever one of your art journal pages or spreads. I keep learning new things from you and even today, there were a couple of new ideas that you passed along. I must admit, my favorites are the Dylusion journals with the two page spreads and the quotes. I received my Sir Vagabond in Japan collection a couple of weeks ago.I also purchased the audio book "Shogun," to listen to as I create an album for me. In the early 1980s, Joe and I spent a summer reading the book. And the next year it was filmed as a 35 hour mini series. We actually rented a colored television with a big screen (21") and glued ourselves on the sofa for the duration. A few years later Joe secretly spent hours with colored pencils, capturing Richard Chamberlain, who starred in the series, as a gift for me. So when I first saw the paper, I immediately pre-ordered it, knowing this would be a gift to me too. What a treat to have such a wonderful series of connections and creativity - from Greece to America to Japan. Thank you so much, Vicky, for the gift of learning from you while and touch my heart with so many glorious art journal pages. Personally, I am thrilled that you take the summers off to rest, reflect, and refresh yourself. Your country is gorgeous and your family is young and vibrant. I am so glad you can spend time with your family and create precious memories. My Joe is gone for over 20 years, but the time we spent reading together and pretending we were in Japan, that summer still brings a smile to my face and warmth to my heart.
I first discovered mixed media by coming across your video of the stacked tea cups years ago. I have been your #1 fan ever since. I love all of your work but for some reason your work in the dylusions journal are my favorites. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity and skill with us
YAY!!! 🎉❤️🎉You’re mixed media projects are back! Yet, we all need to relax and recharge so you never need to apologize for taking time to enjoy your family and your time in the sunshine and ocean air. I hope you had a wonderful summer on your beautiful Greek beaches! ☀️🌈 ⛵️⚓️ I prefer your work in your journals (I don’t have a preference for the size). I like working in all sizes so I love seeing all your creative ideas in the different size books!
Welcome back, Vicky!!! Glad you had a wonderful summer with your family, friends, sea, and sun!!!! But we missed you so much! So happy Mixed Media Tuesdays are back!!!! They are so much fun!! Thank you, V!!! xoxox
I do like the double page layouts the best, but really, I could watch any project you do and be perfectly happy. You are one of the best art journalists. I don't think I've every seen a project you've done that I didn't like.
As a card maker, I’ve been following your channel for years and about a month ago I became really interested in your art journaling and mixed media projects. I started watching from your first uploaded videos and am on this one now. I have to say that I love all of the work you do, and having watched multiple videos every night, my favorites are your mixed media projects. I love watching you come up with new dimensional elements and layouts without the restrictions of having to fit them into a book. I’ve just bought and received mediums and journals to get started in my own art journal and mixed media projects. Thank you for truly being such a great inspiration and sharing your love of making art with us! It makes me look at patterned paper, stamps and elements that I normally wouldn’t lean to in such a different way!
Hi, Vicky! I’m so happy to see Mixed Media Tuesdays back again! Yay!!! I appreciate you sharing insight into regaining creativity by stepping away from it then coming back to it ready to create. While I always enjoy your videos I respect your time away from RUclips to maintain life balance. I believe in the adage: God first, Family second, then work. Regarding your inquiry of preferences to styles used in your Tuesday videos - I’m always going to vote for Art Journal Layouts although I don’t have a size preference since I also work with a variety of sizes. I enjoy seeing you do new things (like the molds, etc.) and various canvases & frames although I haven’t done any of them yet… Hoping to someday do a cluster of 8x8 canvases using PaperArtsy products at some point though. IDEA for mini art journal series -- using your Spellbinder bird house collection! Thanks for sharing your creativity with us. I so appreciate all you do to encourage and inspire. Have a happy day!🙂
I would love to also see a mini art journal with your birdhouse collection. Also more pages from prior Stamperia.the vagabond series! I am so thankful for all the art work you share!
I absolutely love this size of journal. It's great because the double pages give you just enough room to create a good journal layout without too much clutter.
You asked which mixed media we prefer to see - that is a difficult question to answer. I love to watch you work on all your projects and have missed them. I think my best at the moment is art journals, and yours are always so inspiring and absolutely gorgeous. Welcome back - I am happy to have mixed mediaTuesday again :)
Welcome back, Vicky. You have definitely found your mojo again - this page is another stunning project. I love your journaling pages the most, the size doesn’t matter all that much, as they all turn out beautifully. My daughter and l have watched your videos from the beginning, right from before you had voice overs. I still remember the first time you did a voice over. 💕 🤗 And we enjoy watching them now just as much as ever. You are an inspiration for cards and mixed media. Barb 💕
Glad to see the return of mixed media Tuesday. I enjoy the journal pages of all sizes. I love this new collection from Stamperia. I am fascinated with Oriental art, so this is right up my alley. Happy crafting!
Welcome back! I think it's wonderful that you "re-charge" your creativity with a fun summer holiday. We all need a break, however we can fit it in. So excited to see the mixed media page. I just love it. I have enjoyed every type of video that you create. It is so much fun to see the different materials you use on the different types and sizes of pages. I don't have a single favorite type - I can't pick just one! 😊
Welcome back, Vicky. So happy to see you sharing your art journal pages again…and your creativity! Your double journal pages are always inspiring and my fav. But I always enjoy all of your mixed media projects.
I just discovered your channel. I absolutely Loved it from every sigle step. 55 years ago, I was 15 years old girl, in love with Japan and whatever belongs to this country. I used to paint in rectangular pannels. For years i worked as costume designer and maker tutor. now less sewing, but teaching more writing and crafting. My grand dad, was from Tesaloniki and I am thankful for this DNA richness. Stay safe
Vicky i love all the different mixed media projects that you do. I haven't watched you much for a long time. I'm not that into card making but i do LOVE your mixed media. I was thinking of my friend Eileen who passed away a while ago. She LOVED your channel so i came to visit you to remember my friend... I'll be sure to come back on your mixed media Tuesdays!
I enjoy whatever you make, your creativity is amazing and I don't think I have ever watched a video of yours that I didn't like, just keep them coming. Thank you for sharing.
I love all the different mixed media you do. I get bored watching and doing the same thing all the time. This page is gorgeous. I love anything Japanese and will have to keep my eyes open for this collection!
Everything you create is nice, but my favorite things that you do are the canvas boards and journal pages. The entire process is amazing. When you mentioned about taking a break, that is so true. The creative block can be frustrating at times, but when your mind is clear and relaxed, everything flows much better.
Dearest Vicky, what a perfect collection to start back art journaling at the end of a perfect summer!!! I have loved this collection since I first caught a glimpse of it earlier this year. Your friend is indeed talented!!! My dear friends vacationed in Greece last year and came back to Alabama ready to move to a Greek Isle!!! What a beautiful art journal page!!! I love all of your art journal pages because I think you have a great eye for design. Welcome back!!! ♥️♥️♥️💐💐💐
I understand the need to take a break from art. I do the same in the summer, mostly because I'm very busy in the garden. But as soon as fall rolls around and the garden is fading and the rains come back to my home in the PNW, I excitedly return to my art space. It give me a refreshed look at my blank art journal pages. They not so scary as I'm bursting with ideas. I so look forward to you videos! I get so much inspiration. Thank you Vicky!
So glad you were able to get away for awhile, but sure missed your art journal videos while you were away! 😊 I love that you have a variety of journal sizes because it keeps it interesting when you change it up. It’s just so nice to be able to watch and learn how you approach each project. Thanks for the inspiration!
So, so happy to see this art journal video today!!! I love all your creativity in any medium you work with. But, I think I’ve said it before, art journal Tuesdays make my day. I don’t care what size it is, they are a joy❣️ Anyway, whatever you create I am so happy I get to watch. I am mainly a scrapbooker but there so many ideas that can be used on layouts as well. Thank you again❤️
Vicky - welcome back. You have been missed but i am sure you need time to relax and enjoy life. I love this double sided art journal pages that you create. I find this size interesting, although I do LOVE all of the sizes you create. This size is the size I usually make my cards so that gives me more ideas. I do love seeing you create - does not matter what you do! Looking forward to Tuesdays!!!
As a mixed media artist I like variety; not only in what I do, but in what you do, too. Thank you for sharing your amazing work and all the inspiration!
This layout turned out beautiful Vicky. I would have to say the double journal page layout is my favorite, however your canvas creations are right behind. thank you for sharing. I am happy for you that you are able to take time you need to refuel. We really do benefit from your vacations, as you come back ready to share and inspire all of us. thank you for all the inspiration you bring each and every video. xox
I LOVE everything you create! I watch EVERY utube you offer whether the subject matter interests me or not. You offer such a variety of techniques that I learn something new everytime!
I love multiple quick small pages. I spend so much time on a project, so i love seeing it done quickly and beautifully. Makes me want to practice being a bit quicker and less planned.
Hi Vicki. So happy to see your mixed media journals. Happy you had time to spend with your family. A much needed break in these crazy times. Thanks for sharing.
Did you seriously ask us to pick a favorite?!! I’m not sure that’s possible! Hmmmmm………. thinking (smoke coming out of ears). Ok, so I’m finished with my thoughts. I love EVERYTHING you do, but if I must choose, I love the art journals in the size you did today. For those of us not too artsy, when the projects get larger I feel overwhelmed as to how I’d possibly fill up the whole page or canvas. Phew, I did it! And by the way, today’s page is stunning! THANK YOU for your simple instruction and sweet guidance! I’m glad you did the summer by the sea, but oh so glad your back! WE MISSED YOU!
Vicky, I love to watch anything you create. I’ve been very good lately in not buying any craft supplies but now that I’ve seen this journal page and I’ve always been enchanted by Japanese Culture this paper pad, stencils etc will now be a must buy. Looking forward to more of your journals using this paper pad. ❤️
First I love love love anything you do mixed media period…. I do wish you could do this more than just on Tuesday’s (I’m not a card maker) lol. I love the two page layouts. I would love to see you use the 12x12 by Dylusions, so many of us use that size as well. I’m so happy you had a great summer with your family, and happy your back. Thanks for all the inspiration you give us!
My favorite would have to be the 2 sided journals but I enjoy watching all the videos. You are so creative and inspirational. And yes, you deserve a break to spend time with your family and step away from crafting. Welcome back.
I love all of your projects and watch your older projects again when you are on vacation. I'm waiting for you to do another page in your floral project book. Keep up your awesome work and know that when you come back, I know your creativity will show in your wonderful work.
These pages are beautiful. Canvases would be my least favorite, but I really love anything you create and the inspiration they bring. Welcome back. I've missed your videos, but I imagine you miss the sea.
I love Tuesdays with Vicky! You teach me that many of these ideas could be used in scrapbooking. I have gotten braver with my scrapbooking, but I have 3 baby albums to do first....thanks for the encouragement.
I really like seeing you work on all the different mixed media substrates because I’m just learning to do mixed media and I learn so much and get so many ideas just watching you create. I know that there are some techniques that are repetitive, but I never tire of seeing you use those because the repetition helps me learn. Thank you for always sharing such great ideas and beautiful projects! By the way, this is a beautiful page!💕💕💕
Hi Vicki! Like many others have said, I love all your art journal videos... I use them mostly as inspiration but really just watch it for fun... your art journals are what got me started... I work in "smaller" journals b6, a5 size but will watch any style. I'm glad you are back from your well deserved vacation, you have been missed.
Welcome back. You have been missed. I love the new Japanese themed stencils. Such soft subtle and delicate colours. My favourites are your two page art journal layouts and this layout was exquisite. Thank you.
Hello Vicky, welcome back, thank you for sharing the importance of taking some time off for yourself to regenerate and re-energize. As far as your question goes, I love all of it. I do enjoy the two page journal spread as the stacked cupcakes in the moleskin journal was the first video of yours I saw many years ago and has had me hooked since. I do enjoy all the different sizes you work in , so all would work for me. I think it’s good to have a variety to help us challenge ourselves as well. Have a beautiful day. 🤩 Thank you for this beautiful creation
I love the tag journals. Canvases and the shadow boxes. But really all your projects are beautiful and fun to watch. You have inspired me to create my own art journals and I have been watching you for years and years now. I 💕💕💕💕💕 your videos so much!!!
Absolutely outstanding. I love the Asian content as I lived most of my life in Hawaii. For me, the Asian art is calming, sort of a Zen like quality. Am definitely putting this on my future projects list.
Welcome back Vicki! I love any mixed media projects that you do, the size does not matter. Your projects are so inspiring and I always learn little techniques. Thanks for all you do.
I have always loved your book layouts best because they brought me to art journaling in the first place.... they started a completely new creative journey for me. The very first spread I recreated has been the one with the cups, closely followed by the girl in the yellow boots and the umbrella, enjoying the rainbow. Your Art journal pages have started as my muse and remain thus to this very day. Even considering I do not own even a small percentage of the stuff you use nor do I plan to ever buy it.... all those beautiful papers would be horded jealously like in a dragons nest 🤣🤣. Still, I draw inspiration from all of your work, Art by Marlene with its quirky stile or those of Nikos(having no chance of ever spelling that name right- sorry) are my favourites if you are working with inspiration from papers. And to be honest - I always dance a chacha 🤪 if those videos break the quater hour mark, no matter the medium just because I adore those and I like listening to you.
This is the most gorgeous paper I've seen. I couldn't ever cut it. I'd hoard it away and get it out in private, and just sit and look at it and smooth it and smell it. 😆
Vicky, I like all the different mixed media/art journal projects that you do and I like that you switch them and do different types of projects so I really can't (and won't) choose one. I very much enjoyed this one. I went to high school in Washington DC and of course we had classmates from all over the world, one of my classmates was from Japan, her father was assigned to the Japanese Embassy. She and I had the best handwriting in the class -- although hers was not classic "Palmer method." :) She grew up and married someone also in the Japanese foreign service. I'm still in touch with classmates in Italy and the Netherlands as well! Anyway, your page made me think of my friend. I look forward to another project with this collection!
I’m not typically drawn to this particular subject matter, but this is so beautiful!! I enjoy watching you work in the art journal books. I prefer the books over the canvases or panels, only because that’s what I use. As for the size, I like the small journal you used here, the 6x6 or the 8x8. Again, that’s only because I find those smaller journals easier to deal with for my ability and purposes, and they are more portable so I can take them with me more easily when I travel. The inspiration is what is most important to me, though, and I’m still inspired by your videos regardless of which type or size you use. Thank you so much!! I love them all!
I have yet to attempt any multi media projects but I never miss a video. I love watching your creations come to life. I don’t have a preference of size, I like them all. I’m a summer girl, too. Welcome back! I’m glad you had a wonderful holiday!!
I absolutely love your creativity Vicky! Since I am a relatively new junk journal beginner, I find your smaller art journals work the best for me, however, everything you do is so inspiring!!
This patterned paper is especially beautiful and the girl looks amazing on your journal. I really love double paged art journaling, but I love canvases too. Your work is very inspiring and I love watching you create. Thank you for sharing your art.
I LOVE all things Japan. I lived there many years ago and I'm planning to visit next year. This product collection is awesome and you made a gorgeous two page spread. I can't wait to order some of these products to create my own pages. I love the two page art journal projects the most but enjoy ALL the projects you do. ありがとう! (Thank you) 🇯🇵🗾⛩️🏯👘🍜🍱🎎
My favourite art journal projects are double page spreads and page size doesn't matter to me. I have different sized journals I work in and find I mostly gravitate to the larger journals. Your art journal pages often give me a theme I really like and then I put my own spin on it. Loved the 3D projects you did with resin and it inspired me to source some steampunk moulds so I could add dimensional items to my pages. Seeing different products from different designers is just wonderful. I probably wouldn't be interested in them if I saw them in an online catalogue so thanks for showcasing them. Hope you enjoyed your holiday and were far away from the fires. Looking forward to more art journal videos.
So happy Tuesday journals are back. I love all your work, but this 2-page layout is my favorite followed by the decorative pieces one can hang to decorate a craft room. Thank you for all of your inspiration.
This is such a timely video. I'm finally sorting out photos from my trip to Japan two years ago. The stamps and papers and your lovely layout has definitely inspired me to finish my travel journal. I always look forward to new videos from you. Your blog and videos got me back in to cardmaking after a 10-year break. Cheers!
I Absolutely love when you work in no matter what size of an art journal, you are so talented and continually inspire me. Thanks for sharing your time and talents.
So glad you are back to making the journals, I found you because of them but since I don't like making cards I stopped watching. Please continue the mixed media I will definetaly be watching for them every Tuesday. Thank you I enjoy your creativity very much.
You always do such beautiful work Vicky, glad you're back from your vacation. Time in the sun, water with family sounds amazing and I'm looking forward to to more great projects in future 💜
I am so happy to have art journaling again, i really missed it. Switching things up with all of the different sizes would be great, because it mixes things up and gives a different perspective. Thank you for all of your ideas and inspiration. You make creativity possible for me.
I love everyone of your creations on whatever substrate you use. Each and everyone gives me ideas. You are so creative and enjoyable to watch that you could create on anything and I would watch. So glad your doing your mixed media art. Love love it.
I think it's great that there are always different sizes and types of mixed media projects. I really missed the mixed media Tuesday. I would be happy about new inspirations for frames or canvases.
Vicky so nice to have you back with all your inspiration, hope you had a wonderful time. I must say I watch all your videos, but my absolute favorite would be your art journals. Thank you also for sharing the journal pages in the book that you worked in, always love to see those.
Welcome back Vicky. You did tell us you were going to be taking time off for summer so I've patiently been waiting, besides you had Stamptember and other places we can see your work. These pages are very pretty and I love the background. To answer your question I like double page, 6x6, mini in no special order and last would be steampunk canvas not my fav but it won't stop me from watching. Nothing will. Rethought my answer and double page is for sure my favorite to watch you make. I have all the sizes now so it's all fun. I really enjoyed when you taught us how to make the Art by Marlene mini journals. I felt like I accomplished something with those. I liked when you did "A Year in Flowers" always hoping to see some pretty pastel sweet peas. Make us a beautiful ocean page from your vacation so we can see what you saw. Can hardly wait until next Tuesday...Cindy
Absolutely stunning pages. You are so very creative and I love everything you do. Also love the collection you used today. It’s really beautiful. Glad you enjoyed your holiday. A break from any regular routine is definitely good for the body and the brain. Gives them time to rest and refresh. It’s so good to have your cheerful personality back Vicky, always look forward to your videos❤️
I love every kind of art journal page you do, Vicky. Create to your heart’s content because I find them all inspiring.
It does not matter what type of layout you use, I just enjoy watching you create! Beautiful as always…
So happy mixed media Tuesday’s are back! I love to watch everything you do- journals canvases whatever you want!!!!!
I absolutely love these pages Vicky. This Japanese lady is gorgeous. Please keep showing us your Art Journal projects as they are so inspiring. I don't care what size they are, I just love them all.
Gorgeous page. To me it doesn’t matter what size you do, 6x6, tag or card size, or larger. before, art journal Tuesdays make my day. I don’t care what size it is, they are a joy❣️ Anyway, whatever you create I am
so happy I get to watch. I am mainly a scrapbooker but there so many ideas that can be used on layouts as well. Thank you again❤️
As an Asian woman, I can say this page was really stunning! Love it!
I am glad your vacation was restful and especially glad you are back. I love everything you do, no matter the size or the surface.
I am so happy that you are back to art journaling. I am new to this at the ripe old age of 65! I enjoy working in two page layouts.
I like when you switch the projects up. Always learn something.
I'm so excited you're back. You're my favorite art journal artist. Thanks for all the entertainment and ideas.
Thank you.
I love all your journal pages/ideas. Happy the Tuesday Art Journal videos will continue. I am new at this so I appreciate all your suggestions. ❤
😂 get two! One to admire and collect, the other to play with …. I do that too 😂
Vicky, I like all the different mixed media/art journal projects that you do and I like that you switch them and do different types of projects so I really can't (and won't) choose one.
Beautiful! Wow! Welcome back! We missed you! But so happy and thankful that you take time for your family and yourself! Priceless memories!❤️😘
I agree with Becky. She said what I thought perfectly
I enjoy the art journaling the most but I enjoy them all and I do them all. So I am happy with them all.
I LOVE all things Japan. I lived there many years ago and I'm planning to visit next year. This product collection is awesome and you made a gorgeous two page spread. I can't wait to order some of these products to create my own pages.
I love the two page art journal projects the most but enjoy ALL the projects you do. ありがとう! (Thank you) 🇯🇵🗾⛩️🏯👘🍜🍱🎎
Beautifully done, as always Vicky. I prefer the double page journal pages.
Love all your mixed work esp journal pages. Glad Mixed Media Tuesdays are back.
These kind of art journal pages are my absolute favourite
It would not matter to me what size art journal page you use, they are all amazing and inspirational. So happy to have them back.
I have been inspired by your art journal pages and your mixed media canvases. Your mixed media Tuesdays are my favorite!
Cheers!
I love every thing you make, but since I have this type journal, this type is my favorite. Glad you are back and had a great vacation.
I do enjoy all your creative work but for me I prefer your two page art journal techniques as in this Japanese art journal Tuesday - it’s fantastic ❤️
I happen to like all your mix media projects but moreso the double page ones like this one. Your work is always great. Thank you for sharing!
I love all the mixed media projects but the 2 page medium journals are probably my favorite.
Thank you for doing a double page large journal as that is my favorite~ :)
I like all your mixed media projects. Prefer them to cards. Please keep using journals as that’s what I use xxx. Thank you xx
I Absolutely love when you work in no matter what size of an art journal, you are so talented and continually inspire me. Thanks for sharing your time and talents.
Jumping for joy for another mixed media Tuesday! Commenting before the video is over cause I know I am going to love it! Thanks for sharing, Vicky!
I love everything you make, but if I had to choose, this kind of journal is my favorite. Another beautiful creation. Thank you for sharing.
So glad you are back to making the journals, I found you because of them but since I don't like making cards I stopped watching. Please continue the mixed media I will definetaly be watching for them every Tuesday. Thank you I enjoy your creativity very much.
I love al of your journal videos and find the different formats refreshing. ✂️📄🌈🥰💕
You always do such beautiful work Vicky, glad you're back from your vacation. Time in the sun, water with family sounds amazing and I'm looking forward to to more great projects in future 💜
Looking forward to Art Journal Tuesday! I love all you do but if I had to pick a favourite, it would be your art journals! 💖📚😊
I love you Mixed Media Tuesdays and enjoy the variety you offer. I have no preference with regards to size etc. as I personally enjoy the variety.
I can’t help it but I love watching all different types of your projects Vicky! Love love love!!!
I love all your mixed media, however I especially like the books like you did in this video , I find it really pleasing.
Any art journal page you do is amazing. Thankyou
I love the double page art journals!
