    Even the stock fans in Meshify 2 compact are extremely efficient and silent. I built my PC in this case for 2 reasons, fans are silent and there's no RGB. Super stealthy build.

    • @Mr_Matt_Lee
      @Mr_Matt_Lee  2 года назад +5

      Yeah I agree, there's nothing wrong with the stock Meshify fans at all. I really like them! Switching them out for Noctua in this video was purely for testing a complete Noctua setup, and also the aesthetic through the case! :D

I love Noctua Fans - been using them in my PC for 10+ years. 6 fans and 0 problems for over a decade. Noctua quality is just another level. I remember when I bought them my friends were like 'you paid this amount of money just for fans?! you could have gone with better gpu or sth'. @Am extremely quiet. The microphone actually made the audio sound louder than it was in person because I had to boost the sensitivity to pick up any sound at all. Below 50% it was essentially inaudible. Above 50% you start to hear it, naturally. But realistically at 50% speed this would be enough to keep all components cool under load (depending on your cpu etc). I’ve used a lot of air coolers over the years and this was one of the most silent at the price point.

    • @Mr_Matt_Lee
      @Mr_Matt_Lee  2 года назад

      @Am why would they be a scam? I’ve been using Noctua components for a long time now and the redux line are absolutely fantastic. They’ll be more than suitable for your current setup! 😁 you will be happy with the results, I’m certain.

    I find watching people build computers absolute boring, but I watched this from beginning to end. It was an absolute pleasure watching you build a PC without all the RGB garbage. Just watched a LTT video that compared the Redux series to Chromax and they're basically on par cooling-wise and same noise-wise until you max them out, then Redux is slightly louder. On FD's website there is a black or grey version of the case but not with a clear TG panel (only the white one has clear tg). Was this custom for the RUclips builders? Thanks if you answers me! Hey! Sure thing, this specific Meshify 2 Compact wasn’t sent to me by fractal design, I purchased it myself. Looking back at the original purchase invoice, it states ‘Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact TG Light Tint - black’. There’s also the SKU for the Dark Tint, which I didn’t want for obvious reasons. Fractal designs SKU’s are notorious for being confusing, but if you look for the ‘light tint’ then you’ll be fine, as the glass is totally transparent.
      When all else fails, I’d just contact the store and ask for clarity before making the purchase, but rest assured the lighter version does exist and wasn’t just exclusive to RUclipsrs etc 🙂

    Could you tell me what you did for a fan hub to hide all the fan cables? I love the build and your use of non rgb components.

    So tell me more about these Noctua REDUX fans. Are they really worth it for swapping out the fans that come with the case? Because I'll do it if it's worth it in terms of noise reduction.

    How on God's green Earth has @Mr Matt Lee got less than 3k subs?! On of the cleanest builds and that B roll at the end was awesome! #Subbed

    It's loud. Noctua is surprisingly not very silent option, I don't know why. Like, cheap arctic p-12/14 fans are just better. PC should be below ambient at idle and while internet-ish surfing stuff, even with 1234 tabs.
