For me the message is clear.Don't put off till tomorrow what you can to do today-or it may be to late.Thank you John Prine , for the reminder, RIP Amigo.
Some of my first exposure to folk music was my brother playing John’s music. That was in the early 70’s. This song, Paradise, was the one I liked the most. Thank you Mr. Prine for the pleasures of listening to my brother play your music as well as listening to you on cassettes. I hope you experienced that feeling when your soul went through the ceiling on your way to Heaven.
I so wish I hadn’t got into John Prine until after he’d died……I can’t imagine being him being in the UK and me not even being aware. I’d happily walk to anywhere he was playing if that was possible.
I think the tall man with the hat on and beard is Django Walker, Jerry Jeff's son, singing background on this American classic, like his dad's classic Mr. Bojangles. Where have the songwriters gone?
i just cry and cry watching john prine videos. God what a treasure to humanity he was How can something so happy make me feel so sad. RIP my brother.
Rest In Peace John. Thank you for the smiles and tears.
This song should be voted anthem for the world!
