Adding this to top comment for people who keep questioning that games under 70 is 'not good' on metacritic: "scores below 50 indicate a negative review, while it usually takes a score in the upper 70s or higher to indicate that the game is unequivocally good. This is markedly different from movies, TV or music, where a score of, say, 3 stars out of 5 (which translates to a 60 out of 100 on our site) can still indicate that a movie is worth seeing or an album is worth buying. Bruh, saying that Deus Ex is basically Cyberpunk is one of the most absurd comments I've ever heard. Deus Ex is an Immersive Sim, it has nothing to do with Cyberpunk. Don't take Metacritic seriously, because game reviews have no methodology, like film and literature reviews. They are simply random numbers that mean nothing, have no basis in fact and are completely arbitrary.
@@thalesenrique3495 Deus Ex is literally cyberpunk. It has all the prerequisites. Cyberpunk is a subgenre of science fiction in a dystopian futuristic setting said to focus on a combination of "low-life and high tech". It features futuristic technological and scientific achievements, such as artificial intelligence and cyberware, juxtaposed with societal collapse, dystopia or decay. And boy do we ever have societal issues and inequality in Deus Ex. I beat all the old ones. I loved the stories and linear gameplay, much prefer it to Cyberpunk 2077. Also they tend to predict the future in these games. Good list of games. The spreadsheet in the comments that I was basing it off of has games from 75-80 as well. A lot of those are on there. Maybe they deserve their own video?
Amazing job!!
Can you share the excel file, including the hours to beat the games?
@@Luisersosa7 link is now in the comments and description. I added almost 20 more games that I skipped in the video.
@OliveOcelot Thanks, man. Already subbed.
Can you publish the list in a blog post?
I don't have a website but the chapters are organized by letter. So if you're looking for a specific game, skip to that letter to save you from watching the whole thing. Also, this info is in the description, so you can skip to your letter by clicking on it there.
@@OliveOcelot just saying can u upload on Google drive and put link in description😊
That might be doable. I did miss a few games. So that might be a good idea cuz then I can update it. @@indianhawk5642
@@OliveOcelot Great mate ur doing good job
@@indianhawk5642 done! Thanks for the suggestion. Spreadsheet is now in the description and in the comments.
Thanks for doing the leg work for us!
@@ThatNONtoxicGamer it's going to be needing updating every month. But now that the list is compiled it's gonna be much easier to update than start from scratch.
I already had a list going, but it was only for games I was personally interested in. It's been a great help for tackling the backlog.
@ y o u helped me a lot
Btw Days gone is a awesome game! Metacritic rated it when it was a buggy mess. But now there are no bugs! And it is soooo good! Highly recommend it!
@@samuelzappala3381 yeah that's the unfortunate thing about metacritic and user reviews. They don't get updated. Some games used to have micro transactions and got review bombed too but are in a much better state now.
3:40 skibidi skylines
Lol glad someone caught that.
I personally wouldn't call anything below a 70% "Shovelware"
especially when things like Doom ended up not making the list, like does that mean Doom is a shovelware game? No
I probably would've liked this list more if it included things 70 - 100 and understood that even games with things like 60% are still sometimes what people enjoy.
@@NeoCinnamon
1. Doom had 79. You got under 70 confused with under 80.
2.This isn't my opinion. It's metacritic. It's why for games scores of 70 and lower are yellow instead of green. Games are rated differently than movies. It's very rare to see anything below 50, so at 70 they say it's not good. It can still have a cult following like bad movies. But under 50 is usually broken games.
See pinned comment, I copy pasted how they rate things there.
3.If this video included everything above 70, it would be 5 hours long lol. We're trying to save people time here not waste it.
But 4..... I might make another video for 75-80 because there are plenty of gems there that just missed the mark, like Doom.
Just remembering, don't rule out games with less than 80 ratings. For sure there is some really amazing games that you will love to play it, but they just aren't for everyone.
In my case, I really like Digimon games, and most of them struggle to get a 70 rating lol
Yes. Read description and pinned comment. Many good games with lower score. I go over my personal favs in the tier list video. There's a bunch with lower scores that I loved. ruclips.net/video/28aXFfYtc-0/видео.htmlsi=4Moeomf8JjwB_vYS

Do you think you can beat all those in one year? Or will it take longer than on one year sub?
One does not simply “dabble” in Skyrim
Last of us is a must play
@@relmex432hz4 all you need is the first 15 mins of the last of us to try, then you're so emotionally invested that you have to beat it.
Wanna swap with that 'I haven't played Bloodborne yet' 😅, I did many many times and will do more for sure, a true masterpiece!
I wanna play it but waiting on 60fps. 30 hurts my eyes now.

@@OliveOcelot Mine too tbh, especially that I DON'T play with 30 FPS anymore, but Bloodborne has to be an exception, atm Sony gives me no other choice...
Anyways after a longer while if You keep playing You can get used to it, sort if 🤷😜
A hat in time is only 80 also gran turismo is on there that got a low score but should be a lot higher now there are so many hidden gems on the service that might have just not been rated
Gran turismo is on extra? Or you mean the older ones?
Can we have a link to the spreadsheet as I think it would be fun to get a plat for all of them
Working on it!

@@zenkun7890 this is a list of metacritic games over 80, not a list of games I played. That's the next video. Or go see tier list video for my opinion.
I liked days gone. Not great but pretty good. Was still full of glitches when I played it when it was a monthly game.
The commentary refers to when there was massive hype about cyberpunk before it came out and flopped. and those who played deus ex were prone to say we have cyberpunk at home. Should've slapped the meme at that point of the video.

In your thought is this worth it sony has slowed game catalog and add less on extra
For me, no. This year was great for extra so many good games got added and ones I've never heard of that I'm glad I tried. Essential did suck this year except dead space.
But it depends on what games you've played so far. If you've already beat the majority of Sony titles and games from this video then it might not be worth it for you.
@ is worth it isnt my parents pay so im smart and i get for free
@ here
If you have a portal it’s even more worth it
Has it gone on sale end. I haven't seen the price go down not even a dollar in my area.

Heck no lmao
I thought it was during Black Friday.
If you buy it with a psn card on PlayStation you get 30$ - 35$ psn credit back with 15x points but that’s already over on December 2
I was going to buy it at bestbuy open box excellent condition for 169$ but I thought to myself.
I have HUNDREDS of games 100+ installed on ps5 already and a pc and I just got a switch for 280$
😂 I have too many games. I don’t need the handheld
If I didn’t have so many games maybe I’d get it
I just wish ps plus went on sale again.
They had the audacity to make the extra version discounted to new people only is baffling to me… How do they go from free online to insane highway robbery prices 😭
20:28 ESO = Skyrim
Lol ya elder scroll online def didn't score that high lol.
If u start then yes the backlog is good. But they dident add good games in months
They just added overcooked and ishin so I'm happy. Last month we got deadspace on essential, probably the best monthly game all year.

I wish gow ragnarok comes to ps plus😌
Nah the best games are:
Spiderman miles morales
Ghost of thusima director cut
Gta5
Ratched and clank rift apart
Last of us part 1
Dyinglight 2
Uncharted Legacy of thieves

Bomber crew is not above 80!?!?!
Sadly it only got 75...maybe i should do a video about the 75-80 games. A lot of gems in there but there were just as many 75-80 games as 80-100. This video would be an hour long!
No offense brother but calling ghostrunner hard is absurd
Wow, your comment made me check and it’s only rated a 6/10 on PSN. Seen plenty of YTers bitching about it’s difficulty.
@BenedictStreet skill issues ig idk but wasn't hard at all for me personally XD
I personally enjoyed it and beat it. Compared to the majority of the games on the list (except souls like and Rogue likes) you die a lot. That's part of the game. Little room for error. While many games on the list you don't even die once. Even on normal difficulty.

Your parents must'd hit you with the belt if you scored a 70 in an exam, 70 is a great score, anything from 50 or below IS a bad game.
