Tie-Dye Tutorial / Rainbow Side Starflower Pattern / 1 Hour Tie Dye (HWI)

- Tie-Dye Rainbow Side Starflower Pattern instructions.
1 - T-Shirt has been washed and soaked in soda ash (1 cup soda ash per 1 gallon of warm water) for 20 minutes then spun out in the washer so the material is damp but not dripping wet.
2 - Follow the video to fold and Spiral up the t-shirt and secure with kite string.
3 - Choose your dye colors and place them following the video tutorial. For this project I chose Dragonfruit, Deep Orange, Golden Yellow, Lime Green, Turquoise, Grape, and Imperial Purple ( colors are can be substituted to your preference).
4 - Using your garden pump sprayer that is filled with water that is between 140°-160°F start spraying the dye into the shirt until all the dye is absorbed and there is no white visibly left on or in the shirt. Repeat steps 3 and 4 on the other side.
5 - Allow your t-shirt to sit undisturbed for 20 minutes and then rinse starting with cold water to remove the soda ash. Increase water temperature to warm/hot while squeezing the material to remove the excess dye.
6 - Cut the kite string off and open your new Rainbow Side Starflower Tie Dye T-Shirt!
7 - Wash t-shirt by itself with hot water (I use Synthrapol Textile Detergent) without fabric softener and hang dry for the first time. After that wash and dry like normal.
8- HAVE FUN and as always...HAPPY TIE DYEING!

Yes I sprinkle dye powder on and spray with 165 degree Fahrenheit water and wait maybe 20 minutes and rinse and wash 😊
