Ohh, I felt your pain Kyle once I saw his knee break. Huge issue when it comes to those figs, as well as Neca figures. Bought my dad a Neca Wolfman figure for Christmas, and after opening it, the leg breaks off clean, leaving my father greatly disappointed. I’ve had to use the blow dryer strategy on my Neca TMNT just so I could move their tight joints, which we should not have to deal with. Mattel’s really great at replacing a damaged figure, so I’d reach out to them and make sure that you get yourself a new Andre. Kyle, you’re the man, and keep up these great toy reviews cause we the fans love them! You have our support Warrior Man!
He had the calf sideways, hinge was facing in at the knee. Really a shame but this was user error.
The face mold on Doink might be his best of any Doink figure
My MOTU WWE Andre did the exact same thing - broke right at the knee trying to bend it after I put the boot on. Luckily Ringside sent a replacement but my blood boiled for a few weeks too!

I know for a fact that I’ll never see these at my local Walmart's. I will have to buy them from eBay for double the price. However, if you're looking for Papa Shango, Million Dollar Man, or Mankind, every Walmart store near me has you covered lol

In my Walmart they are very behind. Just now I'm starting to see Mr Perfect, Rick Rude, Bigelow, Rock, etc. Probably won't see Andre and Doink for several months
There’s tons of this line at all five of my local Walmarts and in the threee states I travel too I see em all the time

I keep thinking on if I want to get in on this line, I love soft goods but I feel like my He-Man figures pull apart too easily, maybe that’s just my experience so far?

I got lucky this morning and found these two at my walmart. They just reset their aisle so the action figures were in a different location but honestly I'm terrified now after watching this video because I'm not sure I even want to open my Andre now. But I'm wondering if it would be easier working the knee bend before you put on the boots.
Would love to get more figures from this line, but Walmart has made it really difficult with all of the online shenanigans. Cancels pre-orders, but then the day of the releases all the 3rd party sellers have them in hand at three times the price. Guess I'll wait until I get to an actual store.
idk if I would pick up that Andre (even after seeing his leg break in this video), but I really like that Doink figure. I don't have anything Doink in my collection, so it would be cool to have him in some way or form.
That sucks!! I learned my lesson a long time ago not to force any joints...a dunk in boiled water usually helps.
I'm thinking the Andre leg broke because of how hard you have to push to get the boots on. I remember thinking I was going to break my Masters of the WWE Universe Andre trying to get the boots on. Sorry you had to deal with that garbage. Cool video.

I had a chance to pick up the Andre the Giant figure a couple of days ago and left the store without it. I am second guessing that choice, but as I often say, we can't buy 'em all. I am thinking about getting out of all scales except 3.75 in an effort to quell concerns over my ever-growing collection (and ever shrinking space).
So should we treat these superstars figures like NECA figures? Just heat the joints up before doing anything? I haven’t purchased one yet but was planning to.

For someone that has almost every origin and every superstar except this wave I've never had a part break thankfully. Can't wait to get this wave though. Hope the hogans aren't like the blue boot it took me forever to find him.
Sorry to see that Kyle! I've found that the non-standard MOTU bodies have very flimsy legs. The "fat guy" bodies like Natural Disasters and Bigelow have had very weak knees as well. I heated them up first.

No not Andre. At least Doink looks cool. Maybe Junkyard Dog instead of Doink. Doink line could of been re use of Hall and Nash as Deisal and Razor Ramon.

What's funny is, he really is not a seller lol you always see Hogan hang around. In the superstars line I couldn't find Andre or doink but could have bought Hogan 20 times over. I finally did find them though.

Shame it wasn't a diesel figure, they could have claimed the fragile legs were a play feature.
These mattel figures just makes me long for the old days when toys were built to last. I can still play with my vintage motu and remco awa guys.
But yeah, I'm real ginger with these mattel figs nowadays. Mattel quality control is non existent. You should just dip them in warm water when you get em and work the joints before you most likely break them.
