First off, congratulations on your thru. What a feeling!! Second, love your wrap up videos. Gosh, our gear must overlap 80%. Would love to see a video what your food strategy was starting out, and how it might have changed throughout your hike. What foods did you look forward, what foods did you stop eating, how did you get enough calories but being mindful of weight. Thanks
I’m planning on doing the AT in 2022 and while I have all the rest of my equipment set, clothing has been much more of a challenge. Thanks for doing this! Very helpful!
Not a bad idea, just need to find the time. Since returning from the trail, it's been a whirlwind here, but I've been meaning to do another video on my cost to hike the AT. A meal video would probably be easier!
Kevin, would you consider doing a video about the cost of your thru hike? I am contemplating a thru hike for myself. Won't be until I retire and if my health holds up but I would like to start putting away a little money between now and then to be ready hike when my time comes.
Absolutely loved following you on your journey. I'm planning my thru hike for '23 and still researching/purchasing my gear. I'm still looking for that "perfect hoodie", though. What was the brand name of your merino hoodie and did it meet your expectations? I cringe at the thought of having to sleep cold.
I THINK it is Unbound Merino, but I can’t be certain because I cut the tags off all my clothes and gear thinking it would save me a few ounces. It didn’t, and now I don’t know how to wash anything!

That means we’re both doing it right! 😁
Thanks for taking the time to create these POST-Hike videos - they are insightful.
Thank you very much for going over the cloths review, I am at the point in figuring out clothes to bring so this was perfect!
Great info. You’re looking good 👍.
That picture at the end, 🔥.
Good info and answered a lot of questions I never knew I had. LOL! Imma watch again, taking notes next time. Bravo!
Nice with the post hike videos. Great information
Hi Kevin, what is you plan for the channel moving forward? Will you keep posting? Take care, atb.
Outstanding! Enjoyed this overview.
Your videos are always such good, no-nonsense information. I enjoyed watching your journey. Watch for me in the class of 2032…
Excellent review, thanks for the commentary and impressions; thanks for taking us along this year.
👍😊☮ Good rundown of your clothing.
Awesome update on your gear! Thank you for sharing!!🥾🥾⛺️
Great, well organized insights as usual. Love that Karsh-like portrait photo at the end. Your work?
Nope, that’s the handiwork of my good friend, Master Photographer Booray Perry.

Thanks for the clothing update. Would you please consider discussing your food/meal process.

I loved your hike. By the way, I am a photographer as well, but only for my personal enjoyment.
I learned a new word!
Carabined: Connected with a carabiner.
👍👍
Hah!
Great review 👍 Now for the important question: What kind of beer is that in the background?
It’s a Katahdin Stout! 😁
I never seem to get my gear dialed in like that. I guess I need to be more uncomfortable
Thanks dude for another great video! Can me ask a question? What brand and or name is your wool hoodie?
Unbound Merino
@@kevinnewsome-recklessabandon Tank you!

Looking good! A bit more weight it seems. Must be eating good!
Thanks! Oh wait… did you just call me fat? lol
@@kevinnewsome-recklessabandon no way! You just look like you added a little bit that you lost along the way!
You’re not wrong, I’ve gained back 17 of the 36 I’d lost!
First comment!!! 😃
