Whilst in the US like Russels (gilded age) they assimilated very well but never had old money blue blood in their veins and connections which is US wealth obsession in everything to self-actualised to upper classes is needed in US. Which in the UK is promoted and harder but which the and Hardacres and ppl like don’t particularly wasn’t trained to think about the social-cultural side of things.
