WOW!! I'm SUPER flattered, as I am honoured to be included on your list! Thank you Lisa! And Thank You for sharing YOUR pottery journey, techniques, successes and boo-boos! This community that we've built with like minded potters sharing and learning from each other on a global scale is truly humbling! Whether viewer or fellow YT're the comments, shares, likes and cheers makes it such a meaningful medium to share on. Like you said, it's an isolating craft when you work from a home studio so YT helps make it feels like this amazing community in our homes along with us! Thank you again! and ALL the BEST for a very MUDDY 2024!! Cheers xoxoxo

The plates are sooo beautiful!! What an amazing gift!!! I love absolutely everything you make! I feel the same way about all of the people who make videos!! I’ve recorded so many kiln openings but I’ve never posted a single one. I have so many ideas for videos but I just don’t know how to do everything or what to record with. Lighting etc. I absolutely love the clay community soooo much!!! I don’t get out very often at all so this community is absolutely essential to me!!

    • @finklepottery704

So true! My advice is don’t worry about lighting, if you have a bright window it will work fine with your phone 😊 I’d love to see your work! Merry Christmas!

    • @LaLaArtStudio
      @LaLaArtStudio 10 месяцев назад

Michele, hello 👋 my name is Ange, she's right about the lighting; don't fret about it! Just a nice window or regular lamp/light fixture with a "daylight" bulb will work fine 😊
I started my channel with nothing special, I've since updated my phone but that's it, I still produce everything on my phone and then my laptop for longer vids. For me it's the editing that's the challenge to kick out a new video. There are some free programs available that I find simple to work with, just do a search for free video editors to find those that work with your phone and/or computer.
This year or so has been difficult for me because of my health/MS flairs; so I have not been able to post or create much at all 😢 but actually it's been a blessing really because it's forced me to sit still long enough to find this amazing pottery community ❤ and try to learn something I have always wanted to try 😊 🙏 I am SO grateful for all of THESE CHANNELS and their beautiful generosity with their time and knowledge 🙏
So you have to JUST DO IT and go for it! Just like we all have... I was so scared haha 😊
I'm going to go subscribe to you now, so I don't miss your first video 😁 because I'm certainly not wanting to miss seeing your creations!

I also saw Mikkel's video on how he makes his plates. He is so much fun and is so resorceful. I also agree on all these potters you mentioned. They are so generous. I didn't see @farforestceramics on your list, so if you don't know Jeanette, she's well worth visiting, she's the bubbliest and most onderful person. Thanks for allowing me to watch your talent. I've taught myself to do pottery still trying to conquer the wheel but I've got just have to practice and get my drying time right. I have a basement studio. Just started during covid bought a wheel kiln and started watching youtube. A shout out to all the potters you mentioned and to Sara amos in England she's amazing and very helpful. I'm happy that everyone you mentioned takes the time to answer just the simple questions, since I have know clue sometimes. God bless you all and have a great holiday.

Dear Lisa, I am addicted to your videos. My name is Suza and I am from Magdeburg, Germany. I started doing pottery some month ago and watching a lot of youtube videos with it. Your were one of my first big inspirations. Some of the girls in your list I know already and follow them of course. But some of them are new for me and I am so happy that you shared their accounts with us. Thank you for being such a role model for me, same as Sarah. I watch you before I go to bed and sometimes just I can't stop watching. I never thought that I can also do those Videos to share my experiences with who is interested in, but my son told me just to try. So I did. It feels uncomfortable. still. but I am getting better although it’s quite hard to talk in a foreign language. What you said about the community I can really agree with. They are all so kind and helpful and I feel already part of it even if I am just a beginner here. Thank you again for sharing your results with us.

Lisa! This made my night ♥️! Thank you for the shout out and for your authenticity and honesty about working alone. I can so relate to this and feel so much gratitude for RUclips, as well just for the connection that it offers. I love watching your videos and so many others from all over the world. It really is such a gift. You have inspired me to finish my glaze load and make a video before I leave for the Bahamas in a few weeks 😍. You are so cute! And so kind to speak from the heart. Thank you again. I love your glaze combos too! LOVE the soup bowls btw with the cute little handles - that clay body is gorgeous too. Is that a red/brown clay? The pearl white looks amazing on it 😂 love the spectrum floating glazes too on the spoon rests - those came out gorgeous and the plates! Beautiful work as always. Wishing you a prosperous, healthy, fun, happy and creative 2024!! 😘

Hi Lisa, thanks for including me on your list! I totally understand the feeling if isolation. I am the only potter on Bonaire, yes, it is an island in the Caribbean, all the way south, 80 miles off the coast of Venezuela. I also have a roof and only 1 closed wall, the rest is open, simply the best. Come visit me someday okay? 😄😅 Thank you for sharing your beautiful pieces and you are also one of those amazing peeps in this pottery community!! Wishing you happy holidays and 'funky' 2024! 😉Monique

    Hi Lisa
I just want you to know after watching your videos I finally took a chance and tried new combinations and I was so pleased with my glaze kiln last week.
Many of your combo suggestions I was able to replicate on my pieces and it kind of was a nice energizing push to stop thinking so much and just experiment and see what happens
Thank you for making the end of a very hectic year better and for sharing
I did take pictures of some of my pieces and put them out on my Facebook page
I will be looking forward to watching your tutorial on how to make a glaze after the new year
