At the moment I’m using the 5.11 Tactical Tactec plate carrier and it’s by far the most comfortable plate carrier I’ve ever used. So much better than the old Interceptor vest/flak jacket we used when I was in the Marine Corps. I ordered the 5.11 Tactical AMP24 backpack for my edc and I’m totally in love with. I will be ordering the 5.11 Tactical All Missions Plate Carrier later this year when they go on sale again.
Invest in some plastic pry tools from harbor freight to open folds, and keep some largish cardboard flaps from boxes to mask velcro during the set process. Great video!
Very good plate, idk why marines would wear black tho and also have no idea why you would have those plates in there adding that great weight making you tired way faster...
Hey, I’m about to change an issue vest I have as too bulky. I’m looking between this and the 5.11 tectec best as a police medic vest. It will have to carry pouches with trauma med kit (tq x 4 minimum, hemo dressings and clotting gear, airway NP/OP compression dressings, chest seals, tape, gloves, pocket mask) and possibly depending on set up some police kit, asp, taser, spray but thinking ditch all bit taser and get raptors on. Not sure if you’ve reviewed tactec but would value opinion of both for role.Regards
If I purchase the large do I need the large plates ? For front and back . Will SAPI plates fit ? Do you recommend a certain plate. My waste is 34" my. Hest is 44" so I'm thinking I might need a large. Thanks
not sure about the AMC but the tactec has vertical and lateral straps on the inside so it can hold anything from a 10x2 to a 6x8 pretty much, again only have experience with the tactec but i imagine it would be the same on this
Standard? You have about 10 mags above a standard load out. I think you should attempt to run a class in that. I bet you lighten that load out by a ton before the class is over. If the instructors even let you finish the school with that much shit on lol

Unfortunately Hexgrid is kind of like Keymod. It never gained industry support. 5 11 also overpriced their entire lineup of proprietary Hexgrid stuff and it looks like they're now mostly killing it off. Kemod had some downsides but I still liked it over M-Lok and there are no downsides to Hexgrid. This carrier is going for just over $100 right now on closeout. Ridiculous value.

I was debating what carrier to get, now I know. Good job presenting this.
I've actually been debating getting this same one, it's on the list with 2 or 3 other ones so thanks.
Yep we have the same dog…hair on everything

Very nice plate carrier I got one for Father’s Day
This is a good real world review. Wonderful work buddy. Thanks.

A useful review--thanks. Question: does regular MOLLE work well on the hex grid?
Yes it does!
Does it secure pouches???
I'm gonna get a extra plate carrier so I don't have to use the the features that makes this one great..... Says this guy.
Just got mine in the mail earlier this morning
Wow this thing is awesome. Why would anyone buy another carrier? This thing is definitely going on my list
Looks like it should be able to fit a 4 rifle mag in the kangaroo pouch
It’s 3 5.56 Pmags max
Great review!! Love it!!👍🏼👍🏼
Wow love this review I might give this to my wife thanks
What plate sizes does this fit???? I can never seem to find anyone listing that or talking about it.. I just want to put 10x12 sapi plates in it...

A lot of Velcro???
Can this be added/ connected with the AMP 10 backpack?
Nice review.
How do you fire from a prone position with all that on the front tho?
Can you compare this PC to crye or scarab lite?

He had 7 ar mags and 2 pistol mags. When he puts one into the gun makes 6 on the vest. That is a pretty standard military load. Nothing to lighten.
7 rifle mags is a standard military load

That for home defense not for security guards work

What size plates does it use?
It comes in Small/ Medium and Large. I got the Small/Medium and it hold 10x12 plates perfectly.
What about soft armor
what size did u get ur vest ?
im 6ft tall decent build just trying to figure out if i get small, medium or large or xl vest
Sounds so loud
The clip is great and informative. That Velcro though...
What's the price?
Like $220 + tax
It was on sale for $179 this past Labor Day holiday. Might be going back on sale for this upcoming Black Friday.
I used to be in private security and I would never use that at all
I suppose its better than nothing, didn't see any side protection. No thanks
