  • This video demonstrates taking apart the S-series feeders on your Ultimaker S3, S5, or S7 printer, as well as correctly reassembling them after cleaning or other maintenance. You will need a 2mm hex head screwdriver or 2mm allen key for this process. The feeders are available here: fbrc8.com/coll...
This feeder is not the same as the UltiMaker 2+ Connect feeder, but it is similar and this video may be useful for disassembling and reassembling that feeder as well: fbrc8.com/coll...

Hi Erin, I've had a UMO since 2012, highly modified and on its third set of long belts. (It's direct drive / no short belts.) I recently upgraded to a used Ultimaker 3, because I wanted a true 2.85 dual-extrusion open source printer. Your videos are the best on the web and they've helped me update my knowledge about the differences between the two machines. I'm now going through the U3 and cleaning and checking everything. Thanks for your help!

Thank you so much! I’m glad you’re finding the videos helpful. Our goal has always been to make the UltiMaker printer ownership experience the best it can be and help make sure servicing the machine is as user friendly as possible so you can get the best out of it.

Hi Erin, first of all, I want to thank you for the videos you've been making; they've been a great help in dealing with my S5 printer. Currently, I'm having issues with the XY axes; I notice they have some play, and I think that's been causing the printer to not print properly. Could you make a video on how to fix this play in the axes? I would appreciate it.

I've actually recently made a video that I think will help. Check out my S5/S7 sliding block installation video. It covers how to entirely take apart the XY axes and reinstall all of the components, including checking for play on the axles. If that doesn't do the trick for you, let me know! We are always looking to add useful tutorials to our channel and fbrc8.com to help you get the best out of your UltiMaker printer.
