    I am a huge electronic music listener but as much as I enjoy the thump and punch that comes from its production, I also enjoy listening to the details and altering of samples that come from old or used up records that are put or mimicked into it. Both this and the soundpeats engine 4 are definite purchases for me especially having the moondrops as backup while I use the soundpeats doing errands and taking advantage of the decent mic!

    I finally got Moondrop Space Travels. At first, I was really happy with looks - small, fine, body and sweet leather box.
    And I turned them on. Well.. I had previously qcy t13 anc.. I can say that mst is like.. I don't know, definitely good sound, but only slightly "clearer" deep tones and bass ... I don't know, I'm not an audiophile, but I assume that these space travels are a bit overhyped all over internet. Maybe because of uniqe looks, brand maybe, but definitely not that WOW sound everybody talking about, but from my opinion.

    • @aymanguro4282
      @aymanguro4282 7 месяцев назад +4

      Same bro. My QCY T13 sounds slightly worse, but a lot louder. Sure Space Travel has better audio quality but when I use them outside which is what I mainly use TWS earphones for, space travel's good quality gets overshadowed by the loud surrounding noise cuz it's just not a loud earphone unlike T13, where I don't even hear car engines right beside me. So I can't really make use of what Space Travel brings to the table when you're hearing people talking and cars roaring in the background.

    Great detailed review! I prefer a flat response curve and my go-tos are the Etymotic ER4SR IEMs. I was absolutely blown away when I first listened to the MSTs- they sound remarkably close to the Etys in tuning and timbre, but with more punch in the bass. Of course, they can’t compete in terms of resolution but hey for a fraction of the price MOONDROP did an amazing job. In terms of sound quality, I prefer these a lot more over my AirPods Pro’s and have pretty much stopped using them since getting the MSTs.

    Would I be crazy if I went from the XM4's into these? I am so tired of dropping a couple of hundred on a set every few years when the battery dies..
    Edit: Well I got them. To be honest, I can't believe it but I don't think they sound(!) worse than the Sony's in any way, in some ways even better. The ANC sure is almost nonexistent in comparison, and the transparency mode has too much noise to be left on continuously. That being said they do "work", so for around 10% of the Sony's (and most mainstream "pro" buds' value) these were an amazing purchase. I'd say these are an especially great backup for a wired iem for when you need the convenience.
    I also would like to add that these are WAY better sounding than most of the 100€ "budget" options I've tried from Jabra, Panasonic, JBL etc..

    • @thepolishpotato42

    How would you rank them to the QCY HT05? I'm currently deciding between both and like the Moondrop very much, but as I use public transportion very often and work in a busy office, I think good ANC and transparency mode is quite valuable to me. Further advantages for the HT05 seem to be the battery life as well as a better suited case for frequent pocket storage.
    I'm no real audiophile, but both are not in the typical hardcore V-shape segment with a more balanced sound, right?
    I watch furthermore a lot of youtube while on the train, are there noticable differences in latency (possibly without gaming mode) or voice representation?
    Thanks in advance, I really appreciate your opinion
    edit: Have you any experience with the Donner Dobuds One? They seem to be a very good value as well with a dual driver setup and a good all around packge. I can get them here for the same price as the HT05, which could be very interesting.

    • @thepolishpotato42
      @thepolishpotato42  11 месяцев назад +8

      Hi and thanks for the comment! I think for the scenario you describe, overall I would pick the QCY HT05. Mainly because of the case setup - you are right. This innovative, unique Moondrop case looks awesome but it will be a dirt collector with frequent, daily use and transportation in pockets, bags, etc. Sound quality-wise I have to give an edge to Moondrop but they are not far from one another. The QCY HT05 are EXCELLENT! Moondrop is just SLIGHTLY more balance and it has that really flat curve that hard-core audiophiles will appreciate, especially great for classical music listening.
      I did not have a chance to listen to Donner Dobuds One but thanks for bringing them to my attention! I'll see if I can get them and review! Appreciated!

Mini Pro HS is sort of the best blend of those two worlds BUT... I wouldn't pick it over the Nekocake for sound quality alone. I think that's the best answer I can give. Hope it helps!

    • @Gonzora
      @Gonzora 4 месяца назад

      Definitively not. The Moondrop Space Travel are very good for tws at less than $30 and can even be well placed against the top of what is available at ~$50 thanks to the audio quality (in exchange for an archaic app, limited battery and slightly low maximum audio volume) but they cannot claim to be close to the quality of a tws in the $70+ range.
      So, since the Liberty 4 NC are precisely among the best in the ~$100 range (and have one of the best ANC on the market even outside its category) the comparison does not exist. That being said, the Space Travel is a good backup tws if the Liberty runs out of battery or is not available because you forgot it or whatever.

      @thepolishpotato42  11 месяцев назад +2

      ok, after this comment I went and re-listened to some old songs on Spotify. While I feel like it's enough of a volume for me at about 90% I do see how this may become problematic for some people and especially with some older music that is just not up to the standard of today's codecs and possibilities. These days I test everything using Apple Music and Roon so most of the time I do not have to deal with poor quality of the recordings and with that I feel like there is no volume problem with the Moondrop Space Travel but... again, it depends. Are they not as loud as other earbuds out there? Correct, they are not.
      Also, it reminded me AGAIN how good they sound, overall! So thank you for making me go back to them! Haha

      @Gonzora 4 месяца назад

      Not really. The ANC is a nice bonus for the price but cannot work miracles, they fit in the ear for walking but can fall out if you make sudden movements (for example running to catch your bus) and, most important for exercise: the Space Travel does not have an IPX rating so its survival if it rains or against excessive sweating is uncertain.
      In short, these are tws aimed at those wanting to appreciate good audio quality at a low price. Athletes have other models intended for them.

      What’s most important to you? Just sound quality or do you care about other features? Moondrop is great but there is almost no EQ so you’re pretty stuck with the one sound signature. The case is awkward and gets dirty with time. Also, no ANC. If any of those features are important to you get the QCY, and the HT05, not HT07. HT05 has very similar ergonomics to Moondrop but they sound better than the HT07.
