    Question: Does drawing off-screen map area use up PICO CPU time?
    In other words, would it be worth figuring out which map pixels are actually visible for each of the two side-by-side maps, and only drawing those?

      Possibly, but you'd need to weigh up the overhead of checking which pixels are visible.

    does anyone know how to make the loop longer? can I use the whole span of the x-axis of the map to create a longer loop? how do I do that in the code?
