Empty sella and ACTH microadenoma, GHD and prolactin deficiency with a right eye involuntary twitching that’s getting more and more frequent!
Began getting sick in 2004, self diagnosed in 2019, and was right! Officially diagnosed finally. Cortisol at 2300 8-10x normal, across saliva blood and urine. I was going to Drs, and yes, Endos for YEARS! Since 2005!!!!! Terrifying! Had I not found Cushings, I still would have no idea. Thank you for making these videos!
Let’s educate the public on endogenous Cushings. Why? It’s not nearly as rare as reported or diagnosed.

I maybe having a Sx but not sure from what exactly and wanting more information. So if you know whether UTSW is a good place to get a 2nd Dx for empty sella? I am having intercrainal pressure and very bad visual acuity ( -17) tilted optic disks and thin retinas... etc. I see Neuro ophthalmologist here in town but wonder if you have a suggestion where to turn.

How often are chronic headaches from ESS? My bp is usually good 130s/70s on medication, but when i get bad headaches my bp can be 180/120. Can i have IICP when my bp is normal? I have neurogenic diabetes insipidus that was diagnosed from a 24hr urine test, 10litres of output. About to get some hormone tests but my main concern is the chronic headaches and need narcotic analgesics daily. 50yo male.
    Cheers.

So, THAT'S why my neuro surgeon still has me getting annual MRI's since my 2018 transphenoid macro-adenoma resection?? I had invasion of the sella that was fat-packed, but he didn't remove all of the bone. After Jan's report of no growth, I asked if a still had to do them yearly; he "upgraded" me to q18mos 😅

Can an empty sella cause monocular transient vision loss? I'm having trasient, intermittent monocular vision loss and was told I have bilateral papilledema. The CT showed an empty sella, could this empty sella be the cause of the papilledema + monocular transient vision loss or does it always produce bitemporal hemianopsia?

I‘ve got an empty sella because of IIH. I had a papilledema but since 3 years it‘s gone. But I still have severe visual disturbances. The doctors just say „well, your optic nerve is fine.“
Can I get blind because of the empty sella without having a papilledema? 😨

Don't be. You might need further examination to determine the cause but virtually all causes of empty sella are benign and easily treatable.

I think you confused the tumor comment. ESS can be affected by BP, but mostly trauma. So if a pituitary tumor is removed, ESS can happen. It doesn’t mean you have a tumor.
