I’m sure the producers were like, “Guilt by Association has a hot girl bassist. Make sure she’s in the contest. Music? Who cares about their music!”. 🤣
Fun fact: after this aired, i was called by Guilt By Association’s manager to replace their drummer. I kept in touch with the female bassist for a few years after. Cant remember her name
😂 thank you so much for posting this. Some legendary 🙌 respect points gained for this. I used to watch this when I was a high-school metal head douche bag hahahahahahaha. I been trying to find this forever.
WHOA! I remember Ozzy refusing to give the BLACK SABBATH drummer an even cut of the Reunion Tour money So they straight up FIRED him And randomly hired the Nu-Metal rap rock drummer of Rage Against the Machine SMH Lord God Greed
A dozen furies.... I remember that one from the show airing as them being pretty sick. He had an every time I die shirt as well. That's just what I was doing back then ❤️
Btw what's the name of each song for battle of ozzfest cause I kinda noticed a familiar sound of the riff and the vocals mainly for extreme sports ost video games
Wow, talk about a throwback. I used to go to Ozzfest every year and watched this show religiously. When we went to the 2005 show, we watched A Dozen Furies set and they killed it. Later on, we caught them out walking through the thoroughfare. I instantly recognized Marc so I ran up to congratulate them. They were cool as hell and signed the bill of my Jager cap. Sucks they didn't make it long term, I thought they were great and could have been pretty successful.
@@dannydarko9679 to be honest we're kind of going back to the late 90s early 2000s boneheaded mentality. A lot of zoomer are like those idiots I remember from the early 2000s.
It comes to show back then how things were and where we were at the time that seem alright in our lives back the how we carried ourselves, but as you begin to transition in your life knowing you needed a change you knew already you had to break out of that nonsense of a lifestyle, foolish mentally that wasn't going anywhere that may have held you back. Why can't slipknot do this for knot fest, but then again when slipknot has their own confusion problems keeping members. I bet Dave mustaine could do it on his tours.
Looking at this now, it's weird how 90% of these bands were playing in Nü-Metal, when that genre was already fucking dead in 2004. The rest of these bands sound like they would've been right at home on Equal Vision Records, Trustkill Records, or Victory Records.
@@rockboy360 Emo had absolutely nothing to do with it. Nü-metal ran it's course, and the music industry started signing and promoting 3rd wave metalcore bands instead.

NO WAY! I never watched this when it was on but I saw Level C from Cleveland open for Kittie, Otep and the almighty Crisis back in like '04 I think it was? Who knows who actually paid for this contest, but it seems like the standard operating procedure for Sharrr-onnn! - pinching every last penny and not sending all band the members. Totally f'd. How can there be a _band_ contest without an _entire band_? It would be like Van Halen just sending Michael Anthony - he was so integral to the band, but you get my point. Oh and the blonde...great to look at. I'm guessing there's a couple reasons why she was chosen to represent her band. I remember LOVING this back in the day. The amount of douchiness in the audition process was astounding!
Check out Kelly on the next PATRIARCHS IN BLACK album
