What is the 'Brand' name of the 'Kinetic Recovery Rope's' In This color combination! On this military vehicle Where to buy (in Europe) or beyond thanks in advance
Look at who buys and can afford a g wagon most of them have 20inch rims and road tires . I doubt most owners know what a diff lock is let alone ever need one !
Hi Jonny, I think that pattern is Wustentarn ("Desert camouflage") which started to appear when Germany got involved in the UN mission in Afghanistan I think. Seems to be similar shapes to Flectarn but much more sparse and more 'arid region' colours (although strangely there is still some green in it). The Danish seem to have a very similar arid-region camouflage which is maybe not surprising since their 'European' pattern (M86?) is a 2-colour variant of Flectarn (now sadly replaced by Multicam ). Strangely, the Belgian air force also use Flectarn despite the fact that their army uses the unique 'jigsaw' pattern. There is a third German pattern I believe, called 'Tropentarn' but this might just be a different name for Wustentarn, I don't know.
It's the desert version of Flecktarn, 'Wustentarn' (desert camo) and 'Tropentarn' (tropical camo) are unofficial designations, official designations are 5-farb-Flecktarn (5-color-flecktarn) for the green one, and 3-farb-flecktarn (3-color-flecktarn) for this one. 3-colour-flecktarn was developed during the 1993/94 somalia deplyoment, but first used later in Afghanistan.
It is Fake. We never had such kind of nerdy vehicles and we will build them on our own, if there is need to. Sorry, but he is just trying to sell his stuff. Just think about it.... no, front window - does it make any sense, beside 'nice look'? Like the Formula1 race cars - right? Hahaha
Look at military vehicles of its class. The SAS did raids with stripped down Land Rovers in the desert during World War II. Its focus is on speed, not on protection. If you want the best protection buy a tank, or at least an armoured vehicle.
David Louis Maurits more speed is needed in sparsely populated areas with generally even terrain. Like deserts and grasslands. For instance the Russian Tachankas. Less weight also means the vehicle is more agile. These are basically more specialized (or should I say adaptable) technicals.
Why you guys try to hide the real history of this car. G-Wagon started from the shah of Iran’s order for his military. In Iran there are a lots of hills and mountains and that’s the reason they made this car.
Yuri Gross Im not saying they are the same, but they do the same job. You don't want to use a G-wagon anywhere you wouldn't want to use a Toyota, you'll die just as quick in either.
I want this one with the v12 portal axles and 26 in x 14 in mattracks whatevers the biggest and most obnoxious right now.. , plan on daily driving this one.
Terrorist can attest to the reliability and useability of Toyota,, even the US Army with their modern tanks and Humvees can't defeat a Toyota driving terrorist :D
At least the Canadian Military trains to fight everywhere, right now we have an air component in Mali, Africa with the UN Peacekeeping Forces, while we have training cadres in Romania, the Ukraine, Poland and the Baltic States and are doing Summer Exercises in the High Arctic, as well as naval deployments to the Black Sea, Caribbean and Western Pacific and with a military of about 62,000 personnel. And that's after 10 years in Afghanistan.
I was allways laughing about the german Army with their Highly prepared G-Wagon in Afghanistan. Axels where broken because the heavy Equipment Ehen they have to Cross a small creek and the conditions of the "streets " !!! The Taliban came with old TOYOTA's BJ45 and resist EVERYTHING , including the Rest of the world. Greetings from Germany

Well portal axle and locks are standard when it is going on no roads. No front window will not work, just think about it... the sand, trees... driving behind another car... Rain, wind... it is a marketing joke, making people talke about stuff they like. There is no need for having a useful product for military use.
Driving a merc into battle now that's class
where’s the dual MBUX screens? is AMG available? Heated seats? Cooled seats? Massage options?
Still no answer to the suspension question.
It's a cool vehicle looks rugged but attractive.
The headlights look awesome, wonder if there's a qay to get them in the civilian world
Its finally come full circle, this is what they envisioned when they built the first G wagon, maybe.
This is awesome as always made in Germany
Congrats
that only means it will break in a year :D
Υες thats why all weapon system from germamy got problems like the submarines they cant stand in straigtht line or frigates the german nany reject it or leo2a6 with crugh towers and leo2 a4 in syria blow up with one hit .
Made in Austria you mean.
I hope it comes with particle filter and Euro6!
It showed very few the options but you sure did focusing on those two speakers for some reason did you guys think we were really want to watch you guys talk
What is the 'Brand' name of the 'Kinetic Recovery Rope's'
In This color combination! On this military vehicle
Where to buy (in Europe) or beyond
thanks in advance
Sweden have plenty of these 4x4 and 6x6 👍🏻
I was thinking on same line as u.
But whats's the 0-60?!
Stephen Keeler 9 weeks
Great answer.
Does it have a bumper to bumper warranty
Why is this running the old W164 chassis and gear box ?
Because technically the off road capability of the the W461 is better then the W463
There are literally 3 things in common that he mentioned with the G class and all of those things probably are very different from the G class.
MB should come and fix the Australian army's G-wagens. Most are sitting idle because they are so unreliable.
Is this legal to own?
This is for the fancy boy soldier.
The Rangers use the original version, this is an effort to keep selling this type to USA
Why on earth would they "refresh" a legendary vehicle and put IFS on it?
Its is not IFS.
Look at who buys and can afford a g wagon most of them have 20inch rims and road tires . I doubt most owners know what a diff lock is let alone ever need one !
Flecktarn seat pads.

'We never had such kind of nerdy vehicles'
The german KSK uses open G-Wagen since ages: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LIV_(SO)_Serval
Doesn't look like there is much underbody protection
No windshield? Ridiculous!

??? - does it make sense? U never had a Motorcycle right?
Because it's heavy and it can break and obscure vision. Use goggles. This isn't for taking the kids to school.
Faser.... better check on your brain function... This car would work for taking the kids out, but not for military use. Hahaha
Qerty... whatever
Did the one toff say six dot two? At least the other toff said six point two.
Wait, Jane's? Like those old flight sims?
Jane's is a book / magazine / monitoring organisation on all matters of military weaponry and capabilities.
Adrian Nel i see that now. I used to play their flight sims way back when, very well made ones too.
Snipers will have a field day picking people off in this vehicle
Lol its not an apc its a light vehicle to go through densely forested area
What about IEDs?
Britain to provide equipment for a protection.
I will have the 4.0L V8 AMG with DCT version
but can it do a barrel roll?
I wonder what they were thinking about when they chose the steering wheel
"it's cheaper for us, but we'll charge military grade price tag for it"
Vector by Defenture Made in the netherlands
This more off road ready not war ready. Battleproof LoL
David Louis Maurits it's an MRV, the armour is fitted as per required spec. Also these would go against technicals so speed is more important.
@@excitableboy7031 when at war protection more needed than speed.
David Louis Maurits more speed is needed in sparsely populated areas with generally even terrain. Like deserts and grasslands. For instance the Russian Tachankas. Less weight also means the vehicle is more agile. These are basically more specialized (or should I say adaptable) technicals.
He did say it's modular and Armour can be fitted per requirement
David Louis Maurits the special forces in the Middle East use them a lot in combat
No v shaped hull
Why you guys try to hide the real history of this car. G-Wagon started from the shah of Iran’s order for his military. In Iran there are a lots of hills and mountains and that’s the reason they made this car.
Lol this truck is maybe good for on base but in the open would be sketchy af in war
G wagons RULE!
Master question deflector...
How many Toyota pickup trucks can you buy for the price of one of these that does the same job? Get a JLTV instead or stay home.
Comparing a 4 ton vehicle to a 9 ton vehicle... Get a IFV or stay home.
TheBooban excactly 0
So, buy toyota truck or ford f150. But,you cannot compare G wagen to any toyota truck.
Yuri Gross Im not saying they are the same, but they do the same job. You don't want to use a G-wagon anywhere you wouldn't want to use a Toyota, you'll die just as quick in either.
TheBooban of course, but the german military uses weapons that are produced in Germany, that’s why they uses g wagons instead of toyotas
Does nato know Mercedes are making military class equipment
Tons of nato countries like canada use mercedes military equipment

Hulkwagon

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
No doors in 2018? Crew will be sitting 🦆
Far away of the Schakal and Rascal, which is much lighter got pure hydraulic powertrain that G-class tailored for special forces is simply way behind.
🦁 ❤️
Irritating accents.
Update copy ...that’s copy of what the sas used Mercedes wanting to dominate the worlds auto industry

If it's Not a Toyota, It's not Reliable!
lol, how is toyota reliable. cheap parts ?
Terrorist can attest to the reliability and useability of Toyota,, even the US Army with their modern tanks and Humvees can't defeat a Toyota driving terrorist :D
Good for the desert, but not the Arctic.
Charles Damery yes There Are so many wars around the north Pole your right
At least the Canadian Military trains to fight everywhere, right now we have an air component in Mali, Africa with the UN Peacekeeping Forces, while we have training cadres in Romania, the Ukraine, Poland and the Baltic States and are doing Summer Exercises in the High Arctic, as well as naval deployments to the Black Sea, Caribbean and Western Pacific and with a military of about 62,000 personnel. Center of gravity is too high, flips too easily. Wheels are skinny, gets stuck in snow like nothing
🤝🇺🇸💯💯🇺🇸🤝
Learnt nothing from Afghanistan or Iraq.
what is this hideous thing supposed to be?
I was allways laughing about the german Army with their Highly prepared G-Wagon in Afghanistan.
Axels where broken because the heavy Equipment Ehen they have to Cross a small creek and the conditions of the "streets " !!!

It is aimed at Special Forces, not the public.
It is nothing, just a joke.
Explain why you think it is a joke?
Do you know what a portal axle is or why 3 diff locks make a difference?
