It has been awhile since I been on youtube to watch your progress . You are the man . I admire you taking on this project. These cars are so hard to repair esp the electronics there are no support for this car. I don't blame you going to more serviceable parts. even the engine replacement . I admire you. I had lost my one transponder to my key fobs because the case broke and I bought a Chinese replacement and it fell on a dark road at night and exploded and now the transponder is gone so I only have one workable key now now if it breaks Im in big trouble . I wanted to know are you using any of your ignition parts ? even my lower dash panel broke its so fragile plastic all the screw holes broke off so now I have to wire the lower dash to the top part. I changed my lights in my cluster and had to take it apart Its not my favorite job . now the speedo and gas gauge stopped working I don't know what I did. The tach works and the temp and mileage works but speedo and gas gauge stopped dammmmm !! im beginning to hate this car . its hard to work on . tight quarters and my fumbling hands and the cheap fragile plastic parts on this car YIKES !!! . Are any interior parts for sale from your car ? I need lower dash panel , key fobs and perhaps skreem and key switches in door and glove box and computer and I will need to have the cars vin to have car programed I wish I had you abilities your so talented I am finding many who own a Crossfire are having problems keeping it on the road once the SKREEM dies . I don't know if I should sell car or keep parts available once it may dies. I love the look of the car and its fast and different . Even for 15 yrs old I love the look of this car. I don't know what I should do ??. Plus previous owner let several panels allow the clear coat to peel and rear bumper needs painted but local body shops want $1600 just to paint rear bumper and Macco wants $1800 for their cheapest paint job. but the whole car don't need painted its Blaze red that's why they say its so expensive to paint I think its just BS. I have paypal if your interested in selling parts I live in Maryland zip 21001. I just car on the road few days ago now I seem my windshield it cracked wow gonna be an on going money pit I think. The Crossfire forum has a lot of info to help fix some problems but everyone is has problems with the SKREEM and key replacements. Its a nightmare to get electronic parts for this car . Its gonna be a love hate relationship. Thanks for your videos
Unfortunately these cars may end up costing a bit to keep of the road... all the parts I have removed, and that are in decent shape, will be available - I just haven't had much time to catalog what I have - I'll let you know once I have things organized
@@Drivewaybuilt thank you my friend. Your project is amazing I mentioned you on the crossfire forum. But many enthusiasts dont wanna hear about this. But I am amazed at your talents. Thank you for your responces. I cant wait for your project to be finished . I wish everyone would watch your channel then this would pay for your projects. Best of luck. I dont have tons of money but if you do sell I hope I can afford the stuff I need. Thanks 😁
Hi again how do you take the silver trim around windshield. Ive looked for a video but none to be found . mine are severely faded as well as the door handles.
@@Drivewaybuilt YIKES !!! just got my crossfire today and the rear latch wont open so guess its a electronic latch. I looked on youtube no videos on failed crossfire rear latch repair.
no when I push remote( only one remote works perhaps battery ) Ill tinker with remote to see if battery is dead. I hear a click from rear deck but wont unlatch and the side locks do nothing the car flashes lights but no lock I have to unlock with key in door then reach over to physically open door guess could find a video on it but I was worried if I cant open the door hatch lololo
@@ryanreynolds7771 Sounds like the vacuum pump or vacuum lines - can you get into the fuel door? It locks with the others too. Some crossfires leak water into the hatch area where the vacuum pump is and it wreaks havoc
Everything was broken, so half ripping stuff out was about all there was to do. The video sure wasn't titled "how to properly remove XXXXXX" It was on removing broken interior that wont be reused, so the how wasn't needed
you made getting that rubber boot off the ebrake look easy. mine is stuck tight.
They are really on there - It probably looked easy because I took it off like I didn't care
Nice nice nice...subcribed. great now I can bother you with things related to my limited xfire..lol thanks for your time and video

What? Mechanically and ecu it’s an SLK, nothing more. Any Mercedes mechanic will work on it.
Lol I'm charging my friend $300 to remove this whole dash out and to reinstall it, is it worth it? I do remove other dashes all the time
Should be profitable, the bezels will suck, but it isn't as bad as a 1989 s10
Was it pretty simple to take off the silver bits on the center console without breaking? I want to hydrodip mine
They do come off without breaking but there is an order that they come off in to avoid damage

They are just big metal clips - you literally just yank them off and cross your fingers that something doesn't break

Your a wiz. Love music u use
Camera was focuses on give box when I needed to see you remove cluster and bolster. Basically you just ripped stuff out.

Do you still have the Crossfire floor mats?
I only have one and one of the retaining clips is broken, so not good for anyone.
Der Typ hat KEINE AHNUNG und postet das auch noch !
