Just bought a pipe bender as I thought I'd have ago at some DIY plumbing jobs around the house. You've just saved me a couple of pints in scrap copper. Love your presenting skills too. Thank you.
I’m a contractor in Canada and you are one of the very few on You Tube that are great at what they teach. Ya, I subscribed. Always nice to see a pro at work.
Another amazing and informative video. Well done James👍🏻
Very helpful video, James. Thank you 😊
Excellent teaching. Great upload. Thank you.
Just love watching your videos
Thank you for the entertaining and informative vid Mr Parts :) 😊 That marvellous device is a Combination square ! You are a class bender and look forward to more shenanigans 😘
nice set of videos.
i still have some copper in my house so these are helpful. thank you.
making her fix ber own toilet. good advice, i made my wife, then girlfriend, change her flat tire in front of my squadron (that is where it went flat) and it has paid dividends.
always helps to be self sufficient, as your videos show.
Everyone has a mate like James. 😂 Smashed this video for 6 as all ways 👍
You are a genius. If my school teachers taught like you I would never have played truant with Maria Davis and spent the whole day in the long grass behind the cricket pavilion.
Maria Davis was always such a tease!
Thanks for the comment mate. Looking forward to the collab later this year! 🧨🧨🧨
Oh plumber friends
fun and informative video. cheers from the US
Great video of instructions! Could you show how to bend a spiral shape from a longer copper pipe?
Thanks for the video. Very useful and entertaining. It would be interesting to see you pull a bend without a bench vice as would be done on site. Quick use full tip. I often use the floor to push against instead of my hid to pull a bend especially when pulling bends on 22mm pipe. See you in the next one
Mate your plumbing videos are brilliant 👍 Fun Entertaining & Informative keep it up . I’m a Diy plumber (Motor Mechanic) by trade and your channel & videos have given me the confidence to successfully take on many plumbing jobs at home 👍👍
You beautiful man. Thank you for all these funny, well put together, informative plumbing videos
mate this video had me laughing out loud, so bloody funny! 🤣
hey bud im going college and pushing myself to become a plumber ,im of ur age and starting late but still its something init. i love ur videos and specially ur humour.keep up ur work! when u can on ur upcoming videos talk a little about about asbestos!
love the matt idea.
Hi, you did a very good job despite all the hassles which the former plumber should NEVER have done, but perhaps it was a handy man . Congrats from a VERY old plumber in Australia
Honestly, I press the subscribed. I did really. thanks, good tips.
A very good Wednesday morning to you sir from Wellington Somerset
You've got me round the bend just saying from North of Newcastle
Cracked me up at 6:40 🤣🤣
How good is this video??? V Good!
Hello. P,,B
You should have been my tuiter in college. Wow,,, you make learning more interesting and enjoyable. Thank you.
Just done this 🤙
I like your videos. You’re funny. I’m retired and have only one job left to do - reconnect my water heater overflow line. But, I’ll continue to watch you regardless. Why? Because you are funny/ 😂
Anybody that ever says you talk too much, just ignore them, I love the commentary on your videos.
I am blind by the way. Just thought I’d throw that one in. You’re probably wondering now, why!… I am just interested in engineering generally.
I would’ve gone into it had I still been cited.
Keep your videos coming. 😀😁👍
Always educational AND enjoyable. Great stuff but more utterable grunting please 😄
Mad as a bag of spanners 😂😂👏👏👍
Lightly oiling formers etc from time to time is the sign of a pro!
Great video. My pipe bends (cheapies and perhaps bent by stupidly bending some slightly wonky shelf brackets . . .) chewed the side of the pipe. Attention to the rollers Inc oil and oil on the roller face of the guide perhaps helps. Also keeping an eye on the guide being square. Put a bit of rag on the clamp to stop it creasing the pipe would be my other tip
I give a squirt of wd40 over the pipe and formers and it does make a difference
If everyone makes them, that includes you plumberparts! 😂
There was a pet carrier in the background. It looked to be a bit large for a cat unless, perhaps, you adopted a Maine Coon or a Lynx. So, I am curious. Do you have a dog? The video was helpful!
What make/model of Bender you using James? Is it in your Amazon store?….
I’m an electrician and had to change a zip water heater, wasn’t quite like for like and had to repipe the water feed with a slight set, without a bender I filled the copper pipe with sand and managed to make a small set in the pipe for it to fit without an indentation, pretty satisfied after
Was taught that at college, heat the tube first which makes it easier to bend with the sand inside.
You know that someone was going to ask , and guess what? I'm the one to ask , are you a bender . 😂 great vid , thank you
How do i mark my bend if it has no markings on it doesn't seem to be accurate when i do it or even look like when using protractor im usong a silverlibe bend with 12/15 mm and then 22mm
I just do it quick yes the bend
What is the name of the pipe bender? Trying to get one in the US
Hilmor.
Hilmor.
@@user-fj1wk5mj4r thank you
Irwin HILGLM Hilmor Glm Pipe Bender
yes and also, don't forget a 90 degree angle does Extend 25mm.
Are you doing these bends with annealed copper?
I thought that was going to be mistake/tip #1
My mum wasn't in this video James.
Starting legal proceedings
I need to do a new bit of pipework in my house which could do with a couple of bends being made. Is there a way you can bend copper without a bender? I'd like to not spend 70 odd quid on a bender for one job 😢
You could buy a spring and heat the copper but won't give you nice uniform bends like a bending machine will
@@K-carbon Gives you sore knees after a while too - especially 22mm!!
If You mark the first point of the bend en you make the bends 45 degrees than its 42 mm x 1.41 = 59.22 mm that is where You mark the second point. If you make the bends 30 degrees than its 42mm x 2 = 84 mm between point 1 en 2 for the offset
"Oftentimes" is that a specialist plumbers vocabulary?
Don’t recall ever seeing you bend any 22
I'm too weak for 22!
It looks like these TV pubs where they show people who were told how to look clumsy while doing anything…
The US method is easier when the conduit is held in a vise on a bench or spécialisée holder. Or use a better holder…

Hi, great video. But i'm curious to know why plumbers don't pre prepare standard sets and 90 degree bends before hand?
What is a standard set? There’s no such thing.
What about a level?
😂 people are right , you must be on a 10 cups of coffee’s a day , I do the same after one can of monster , couldn’t stop talking 😅😂😂😂😂
your bender handle should not be in the vice .... move it along to the large boss
😎👍👍🤜
I just use a spring 👍
Why don't the pipe benders come with a guide?
The socket on the wall in the shed is a classic example of why plumbers shouldn't do Electrics! It isn't exactly up to Artisan standards! 😂
I know everyone's into measuring and marking it all out, but I've always preferred to just do it by eye and it works out fine. Just sayin' :D
Try doing a crank overset without measuring. You might get it right after half a dozen efforts.
I had a feeling you would be great at bending. It’s obvious from the way you move your hands and stroke those those long shafts that your an experienced bender. How do you feel about keeping things straight?
Ah well, that made me laugh even if you didn’t find it funny…which I hope you did 😂
Cue shameless begging: I was in an accident a few years ago which left me disabled and unable to work. It takes me ages to do any job on my house not least because I have no tools and can’t afford any. If ANYBODY has any old tools they would be willing to donate to me PLEASE get in touch - Age and condition unimportant.
Haha! I did!
@@plumberparts sweet 😂👍
Buy a bender that doesn't need a former, they work great, and fast .

Nothing quite like a kinky pipe
lost it at you berating the safety ninnies.
they're just losers who get off to being condescending to others. Doesn't matter what or why, they will say anything to be right.
Why didn't you tell me this 10 minutes ago?
