I just pull the first bend. The second 1, just by taking my meter and measuring with the pipe in the bender. Hook the tape on the former, and measure in an imaginary (perpendicular)line, from the first part you just did.

so if you dont have a piece of wood exacly the right size, do you draw 2 parallel lines on something with the right width?

I love it! Thank you! This is the fun bit, when working I generally use the floorboards as you already have one parralel line from the joint where the floorbaords meet, from there get your tape measure and measure up and hey presto there you go! BOOM!.
