Tondo encompases the port area and also Divisoria the epicenter of retail trade in the country. Aside from Tondo the city of Manila also have the Sampaloc district the Malate- Ermita district, Binondo, Santa Cruz San Nicolas , Quiapo, Paco Santa Mesa, Santa Ana district. Metro Manila is huge with 16 cities and one municipality. May I suggest aside from Manila you can try going to Marikina City, Makati City, Pasig city, Malabon City, Caloocan City, Parañaque City, Las Piñas City, Quezon City, Valenzuela city, Pateros and Taguig City, San Juan City, Mandaluyong City, Navotas City Pasay City and Muntinlupa City try going to these cities old town district within Metro Manila.

Wow ! Thanks a lot for the tips, that is a LOT of places ! I am staying in Malate and it feels so genuine, I really like it. I visited a few other places (my other vlogs). But Manila of course has too many places to visit 🙂

Tondo is a very historical district. It was the original Sultanate settlement before the Spanish arrived. And where many revolutionaries met during the Filipino revolution against the Spanish colonizers. Unfortunately, it has a reputation for being a no-go slum area which you have found to be untrue.
