Im glad this is my first ever max cushion shoes, midsole doesnt feel as bouncy as react per say and it doesnt feel as responsive as boost/bounce but definitely the cushioning is great, plush, absorbs lot and lots of impact even i could run 4 days straight without skipping with this 🔥
I love my Nimbus 25, all said in the video is true! I tried to run fast in them but i noticed that thay don´t let me go to fast due to the high cushioning.
Nimbus 25 is a great shoe but such a narrow toe-box. I had to go to an extra wide model and the toe box still comes to a point. Has ASICS not drawn out a foot on paper before?
Just went on a first run 6k on these 25. Been runnign in Dynaflite 3 so the 25 is so much more cushy for recovery runs. I need to get a pair of Magic Speed 4...
Thoroughly enjoyed the 24 but got very low mileage before I had to replace them. Lower legs really started to hurt after 150-180 miles so loved the shoe but dissatisfied with mileage. Now using my first pair of 25’s, getting to 200 miles. Hope it can hold up another 100-150 miles. I use three for some speedwork as well, is this a bad idea? I have vapourflies but use these sparingly as I can’t see them going too far. Should I get a lighter shoe for speedwork and use the Nimbus 25 for recovery runs only? Week is Quality, recovery, jumps, rest, quality, recovery, fartlek, rest - repeat.
This will really come down to personal preference. Using the Nimbus 25 for speedwork isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just might feel a little less efficient than a faster shoe. I tend to use shoes like the Nimbus for speed early in the season when paces dont matter and then switch into a faster, more versatile shoe like the endorphin speed 3 or a true super racer as the season progresses. -Connor
As a beginner runner looking for comfortable and fun shoes, what do you recommend more Nimbus 25 / Sacconi Triumph 20 / Nike Invincible 3 / New Balance more v4?
I'd say nimbus, the invicible 3 would have been great but the heel kind of slips and moves around because of the lack of cushioning they added. I moved around with them and my heel was dancing up, down, left right. Bought the nimbus today and will do a 6 mile run tomorrow.
@@ישראלאבייב-ק9כ have done around 30 miles with them. They are insane. Have used them for both 6 mile runs and 3 mile runs. No pain in my legs after doing them every single day, no rest day. 1000000% buy them
The More v4 felt softer (more squishy) but less stable to me so I went with the Nimbus 25 when trying on both. I think the Nimbus are softer than the Novablast but the Nova felt faster/more versatile if you are looking for an all-rounder with cushion. The More & Nimbus would be great for recovery or long run efforts.
I want these or the Alphafly Next 2. I’m a novice runner but I’m overweight so I’m looking for looks ( absolutely need to feel confident to run), cushion, and a shoe that will make you run/walk mid strike.
Without a doubt I would go Nimbus 25 over the Alphafly 2 which is an elite racing shoe. The Nimbus 25 is built specifically for comfort when logging your daily miles and will handle all of your running needs. As a more novice runner, it should be a fantastic pick. -Connor
I have both. The stack height is lower in the Gliderides. Gliderides have better energy return and are smaller. The Nimbus is a bigger shoe with a wider base. Both are firmish. Both are stable. There is no EVA plate in the Nimbus as in the Glideride. The Glideride is more agile and nimbler. The Nimbus has a fully gusseted tongue with no padding; the Glideride has a semi-gusseted tongue with padding. I like both shoes equally. The rocker in the Glideride is more pronounced. I think the toebox bend in both is similar. The forefoot room seems similar to me. There is a useable pull tab on the Nimbus, but none on the Gliderides. The one thing I hate about the Gliderides is the low rounded heel cup that makes it difficult to to put on. It's a snug fit. Over time, the inner heel collapses. Unless Asics fixes this, I won't buy another pair of Gliderides.
Would the wide version of this shoe be necessary for someone with a slightly wider foot? Things like Nike invincible I can wear a regular size but many hoka I require wide
I have these shoes and I have wide feet and I didn't need to go with wider size. I'm an 11.5 in shoes but I went with the 12 ... With asicis they say its good to half a size up from your regular casual shoes.
We are actually based in San Luis Obispo CA and Alpharetta GA but we do make it out to Boston quite a bit to visit with some of our favorite shoe brands. -Connor
It just looks like a copy of other shoes. Not a fan of the overall look at all. Not sure if I’d spend the hefty price tag on this. Hopefully asics dial down the look back to the earlier numbers.
They are good shoes but I disagree about one point. These shoes are not made to improve comfort but to enlight performance. The previous Nimbus ( 23) were absolutely better in term of cushioning and comfort. Now the tongue of the shoes is really thin and sometimes making tight laces may hurt your feet (evident even in Nimbus 24). Meanwhile the great sole height has a mechanic advantage pushing forward the runner but to achieve this result they cannot use gel at the same way... I have all Nimbus and I run thousands of km with them... This is my personal opinion. Great review! ☺️
For the better. Right. Now I get to walk around with a club-foot style that Sketcher’s created 15 years ago. ASICS was already comfy af with their other unique styles. Do we really have to hop on this silly trend too?
I paid £175 for a pair today. My feet ankles and knees hurt so I thought I would buy a pair. After wearing/walking in them for 5/6 hours. My feet ankles and knees hurt more than before. For the first hour my feet were OK but longer I wore them the more painful they got. They're a bit tight also. I've got wide feet and the tongue was digging in. I don't know if it's the first day or do I have to give them afew days?
I bought the Asics Nimbus 23 shoes for running and it has been a complete disappointment and an absolute nightmare. I have used the shoes for only about 250*kms of running appro, and already the shoes are tearing apart. I had spent a ridiculous amount on these shoes, expecting a good quality product from Asics. Unfortunately, the quality of shoes sold by Asics in India is very poor. What's worse is that the customer care team is unwilling to provide any support, leaving me stuck with a defective product. I urge everyone to be aware before making a purchase of Asics shoes. These shoes are a waste of your hard-earned money and will only lead to disappointment. If you're thinking of buying Asics shoes, think again! Save your money and invest in a better brand that values their customers and produces quality products. Asics shoes are a complete waste of money and a disgrace to the sportswear industry.
My New Balance shoes which I bought from the USA lasted for 6+years. The quality of ASICS shoes sold in India aren't up to the standards the Company claims. The shoes are tearing from inside and outside :-(
They are not heavy for a daily trainer. There is no such thing as "energy return". That is simply a marketing term for the gullible. And no, the Novablast doesn't feel the same as I have both. These are entirely different shoes.🙄
Maybe what people mean by "energy return" is bounciness like you're jogging or running on lightweight, soft springs. The old Skechers Ultra Go's with goga mat insole used to be like that. Shoe manufacturers stopped making shoes that good for under $100 because they last too long. Took me 4 years to wear mine out with near daily use.
I tried on the Bondi 8 Hoka One One's and the Nimbus 25's today. The Nimbus 25's have better cushioning and toe grip, almost like a perch, instead of sinking at the toes. If the Nimbus 25's are a copycat, then they're better than the original.
I need your suggestion sir i weigh 220 pounds and I run 10 kilometres every day would you recommend this shoe to me if not what would you suggest pls help me with you valuable suggestions
I’m also 220 and I’m considering this shoe. Mainly because a bigger runner like myself needs to protect the miniscus more than a lighter person would. Lots of impact on those soft cartilages therefore a highly cushioned shoe that absorbs that impact would be beneficial over time. Just ran a half marathon in the Vaporfly 3s and my weight caused the heel to tear up badly 😢 Nimbus seems like it would stay together a lot better
I have done two 10 mile runs in the 25.They are so comfortable and make me want to run more ❤️✌️🏴
should We go half a size up for these?
Jamie did your toes start to hurt you because of the narrow toe box?
What is the weight of single shoe

Same for me! Great shoe for recovery and long runs though! Super comfortable. Best pair i’ve owned
John did a great job! Connor is the GOAT but paired with John...lots of great info!
Agree wholeheartedly
Compared to the Hoka bondi 8, which is better for a first time marathon runner? My pace is slow and have ancle and blisters issues.
Good morning for all the runners from 🇪🇸. Like for Running Warehouse and like to Asics nimbus 25. A nice day for everyone. 🌞🏃🌞
Can't belive the outsole wear after 600 miles!

I just bought the Gel Nimbus 25 today and it was on sale the blue one that you guys have. I'm not a runner so I use it for walking.
I am not a runner either and thinking for buying it for walking what do you think about thrm now?
Welcome to the team John!

I tried these on at an outlet store here in Florida. They feel amazing, these guys are spot on about the cushion with this review! Enjoy!
What kind of socks do you use
Would you say they're similar to the Brooks Glycerin 20s?
Better than the brooks anytime
I tried brooks and asics or adidas are better. Brooks tends to be a slight on thr to side

Any full reviews of the Asics Glideride v3?

How do these compare to the gliderides? This is supposed to be the daily trainer in their lineup but it seems like a maxcushion long run shoe

I love my Gel KAYANO 29… are they as comfortable? Does anyone know?
They are totally different shoes and rides. The Kayano is a very firm stability shoe. The Nimbus is a neutral shoe with a much softer ride.
They are more comfortable and great if you have flat feet and heavy.
