I built my first PC in like 2002 so I've always been use to some feature rich motherboards. It is wild to me to see one built in port on that back panel connector. Like, that motherboard is just ram, processor, and bus?

I'm not sure why CompUSA went that way maybe to make the customer spend more money. I don't know.

my socket 7 runs win98 and with setmul (perfect with pentium mmx) would give a huge range of game coverge.
i went with win95 for my 486 system.
it odd the power supply is rotated like that above the motherboard.

I'm thinking 98 also. It seems more fitting since it was put together with 97 parts.

I was wondering what happened to you,. Tough choice, to retrobright or not.. does the plastic smell like stale tobacco? Otherwise I'd keep the "patina", like they call it with old cars.. no one seems to use that term with old computers.

Yeah I've been working on a business venture, e-wast and STEM for the kiddos in my area. Then trying to get donations to help fund this for schools and their STEM nights.
The case doesn't have any smoke smell. Yeah I'm thinking about leaving that part alone. But the operating system... I would love to find a copy of the CompUSA installation disk, if there is one.

@@OCROldComputerRebuilds I tried to respond to this but my comment got deleted by YT. I'll try this again. The Internet archive ( I tried to spell the URL but even that was enough to get deleted) has a CompUSA pc home series recovery Disk ISO. Have you tried that?

@@OCROldComputerRebuilds Splitting my comment so they don't delete it. I wish you great success with your venture.

@@esc2dos I didn't even see one when I was looking. I will try to find that one. RUclips is bad about links.
