      same , I blame Sir Alex but more the glazers , because him and David Gill were literally the DUO of the DOF / Head of Recruitment in some ways and had scouts obviously (but SAF was the soul person in charge of recruitment )but the fact both left at the same time and left a vacuum behind them. No one thought ie the glazers or Woodward that , they needed a a DOF or head of recruitment is truly remarkable. Especially for the size of the club, it was run so poorly.

      Glazers should be ashamed a 25% owner coming in and doing all these changes they should of done the past 20 years . they have put no money into the club , jim ratcliffe going all out, he must of signed an NDA leading to a full sale of man utd between the glazers in the future

    Hiring top football people who know how to achieve success , who would have thought ? How could the Glazers have missed this ?

    • @nickraoyj
      @nickraoyj 4 месяца назад +10

      Easy. It's because they simply never cared about the club. You can search online for examples of how much more invested they are in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

      Didn't miss anything. They were in on it for the money. Don't forget that they took a freaking loan to buy the club. It wasn't even their own money

    To be part of Man U is every English football players dream. Dan Asworth was a former youth player. And maybe joining Man U was his childhood dream. So when Man U came to his door, he huriedly say, Yes..

  • @eyoelwoldearegay7124
    @eyoelwoldearegay7124 4 месяца назад +5

    The Glazers came to Man Utd solely to skim the profits and they not only lack the nous of football(soccer) but also the very basics of how to properly run a football club, let alone the size of Man Utd. When you place a well run and profitable club into a massive debt overnight, it tells about the recklessness and the “We don’t care” attitude towards the club and its fans.

    I'm bored of this narrative that Newcastle are "the richest club in the world". Their owners are rich, but the club itself isn't even the richest club in the Prem. What good is having the richest owners, when you can only spend less than West Ham can?

    Ashworth cant spend more at United than Newcastle due to owing £300m in outstanding transferfees.
    So it cant be just the spending as an argument.

      The moment Sir Jim adds money into the club, he will have a larger amount to spend. Owners are allowed add some money into running the club but Uniteds owners take out billion+ and never added a single cent

      No it's easy to blame managers but glazers no they haven't spent any of their money. It was all money that the club had generated and then they took dividends out yearly until they couldn't any more. Then they looked at financial options and along came ineos

    Ashworth will never build utd with ETH. He is a coward who compromises his system when the going gets tough. Big teams play their way, even small Brighton has a distinct style always. I won't be shocked if they bring Potter in.

      United are the biggest club in the world bar none. Madrid are only more popular in Spanish-speaking countries. In a pre-season friendly between United and Real Madrid in the USA some years ago, 90% of the fans were cheering for United.
